"The hotel is not far from Atami Station, and it is only one street away from the sea. It is very convenient to get back to the hotel from the beach. Although no meals are provided, the shopping street in Atami is nearby, making it easy to buy and eat. The boss was very enthusiastic and found that we were crowded, so he arranged for us to stay in his other hotel."
Llgs5088I only discovered this hotel because I wanted to see the Atami Fireworks Festival, but I loved it the moment I stepped inside. The regular shuttle bus between the hotel and Atami Station is incredibly convenient. The hotel environment and food are also pluses, especially the onsen (hot spring bath), which was truly relaxing. There's also an outdoor swimming pool, but I didn't have time to try it; I felt like even one night wasn't enough. There's a dedicated area by the sea for watching the fireworks, which is a thoughtful touch. The front desk has Chinese-speaking staff who are very welcoming and will provide maps and directions.
EeXoxideZNot recommended for a newbie. Check-in procedure was really complicated for foreigners, making a call to the host to get the password of the key box. Without Japan number I contacted the host by e-mail in Japanese instead that took some time. 500 yen onsen fee is compulsory. You need to pay more for a towel or amenities. The room and communal area with a small kitchen was good.
