The Tashitakge Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Tashitakge Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Lhasa for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is only 8km from Lasa Railway Station and 60km from Lhasa Gonggar International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. Keeping busy is easy, with Anitsangkung Nunnery, Xiami Temple and Potala Palace Square all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling alone.

"This quaint Tibetan-style hotel is located just inside Barkhor Street. It is very convenient to the Jokhang Temple and the Potala Palace. There are also many delicious shops nearby. The proprietress is very welcoming. I originally booked another hotel, but because it couldn't accommodate people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, I changed to this Babao Hotel, and I was very satisfied with the result."

The Shambhala Palace (Xiangbala Gong) is a hotel convenient to the Jokhang Temple, the most important and sacred temple in Tibetan Buddhism. At this Lhasa hotel's top roof restaurant, guests can enjoy the view of the Potala Palace from the distance. Those loving to socialize can head to the on-site bar.

"I deliberately chose a purely Tibetan-style hotel to experience it. It's in Barkhor Street. Although you can't get in by car and you have to walk for a while, it's still worth it. After calling the hotel, an uncle will come to help carry the luggage and lead the group. I found that this building is actually one of the world cultural heritages, and I stayed in the best Tubo room. It reflects the characteristics of ******* style everywhere, with bright and bold colors. The bathroom walls and floors are all paved with black stones, and the walls are irregularly inlaid with turquoise. and other gems, beads in various niches high on the four walls, various thangkas in the lobby, steep wooden stairs, and the Potala Palace can be seen from the rooftop... I really like it so much, I really want to go from there. Pick out some gems from the wall. [呲呲] There is an electric blanket on the bed, a heater in the room, and the bath water is hot and large, which is very comfortable. In short, the price is very worthy of this Tibetan-style building!"

__WeChat258344****The room was clean and hygienic, located right on Lhasa's pedestrian street, with a night market just outside. It's situated between the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, both about a six to seven-minute walk away. Downstairs, there's a yak hotpot restaurant with the popular internet celebrity, Little Lamu, performing. They also have automatic robots that deliver takeout directly to your room. The hotel has a free parking lot on the -1 floor, which is very convenient. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Lhasa, it's reliable! [Strong][Strong][Strong]

HhohotimVery satisfied with everything, the best is the customer service, always answer all questions. Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen. There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning. Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

GGuest UserThe hotel was clean and tidy, and the rooms were well-equipped with oxygen concentrators and humidifiers. The front desk staff and other hotel employees were all very friendly and accommodating. We received complimentary fruit in our room, and the living room offered a direct view of the Potala Palace. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the staff at the executive lounge were very enthusiastic with their service. Although I experienced some altitude sickness, the hotel's thoughtful service made our stay very comfortable and pleasant.

GGuest UserThe hotel is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Rooms feature a 24-hour oxygen supply, with quiet wall-mounted diffusers or nasal cannulas available, and the system is virtually silent. The rooms themselves are clean, featuring smart toilets and automatic curtains. There's a self-service laundry room equipped with dryers. The hotel has a large parking lot and its location is convenient for transportation. Additionally, there's a viewing deck with a great view of the Potala Palace. Our butler, Zaxi, was outstanding, incredibly thoughtful, and responsive to our every need. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

GGuest UserI came to Lhasa for a trip and stayed in a hotel recommended by my colleague. The environment outside the hotel is very beautiful in this season. I had some altitude sickness when I just landed, so I didn't want to go out in the morning, so I just breathed oxygen and basked in the sun in the room. I paid more attention to the hygiene of the room and cleaned it very well. The hotel staff was also very friendly and provided me with free travel guides. It is also very convenient to go out for food and visit tourist attractions. It takes more than 20 minutes to walk to the Potala Palace. It is very cost-effective and highly recommended! ! !

YYejiuExcellent value for money! The lovely ladies were all very kind and pleasing to the eye. The room felt spacious and bright. It's really worth the price; there's a laundry room and a separate shower and toilet. They even gave us a welcome gift of fruit and a breakfast voucher. My friend said it was the best noodles he'd had on his trip to Lhasa. We were supposed to order food from our room that day, but we realized we were late. While we were making a call in the lobby, a front desk staff member proactively poured us a cup of hot tea! They were so attentive and helpful—I loved it! If they had this in other cities, I'd definitely stay here everywhere. Much better than Hilton!

GGuest UserThe room is very simple and ethnic, and there is an oxygen concentrator, which is quite cozy for people on a temporary business trip. However, there will be a Dangxiong train passing by at night, and it will blow the whistle, which will be a surprise for the first time. Dangxiong is a little high in altitude, and the clerk was very considerate to help carry the luggage, otherwise it would be quite difficult for us to climb the stairs.

__WeChat33316****Our room was upgraded to a family room, room 327. To be honest, the hotel is located quite deep in an alley, about a 500-meter walk from the main road... All the room windows are single-paned and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years... The towels and bath towels were all dated 2023 and weren't very soft anymore. We booked through Ctrip, which helped with the room upgrade and included complimentary breakfast. Don't expect too much from this hotel; it's quite different from a Holiday Inn Express on the mainland. The breakfast was just passable, nothing to write home about. After all those downsides, let's talk about the positives: it's incredibly cheap. Booked on Ctrip during the off-peak season (August 31st - September 3rd), and with a Lhasa culture and tourism subsidy voucher, it came down to about 160 RMB per night. Secondly, you need a key card to access the floors, which makes it quiet and secure. If you're traveling independently and plan to be out sightseeing daily, the location is a bit far. It's about 2.5 km to Potala Palace (15 RMB by taxi) and roughly 3.5 km to Jokhang Temple. Lhasa's cost of living is much higher than Chengdu's. You'll notice it significantly in taxi fares and dining expenses. This was my first visit, and I didn't experience altitude sickness. I found it truly beautiful. Here are a few recommendations: 🚩FYI: I didn't take Rhodiola before entering Tibet and didn't experience altitude sickness upon landing. The hotel I stayed at upon arrival didn't provide oxygen, and I didn't even buy an oxygen tank, yet I adapted just fine. So, flying into Tibet is the most relaxed way. Traveling by train or self-driving is exhausting, and you're just as likely to get altitude sickness anyway. 🔹Attractions: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple, Sera Monastery, Tibet Museum, Princess Wencheng Show, Chakpori Hill viewpoint, Barkhor Street... I recommend exploring at your own pace, taking it easy... stopping frequently and avoiding strenuous exercise. 🔸Food: Sichuan cuisine dominates. Aside from those speaking *******, everyone else speaks Sichuan dialect. Goods are not easy to transport in, so prices are comparable to first-tier cities. The air is dry and UV radiation is incredibly strong... I didn't get a tan all summer, but two days here turned me completely dark! [laughing emoji] If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! 🙋‍♀️🙋
