I found that this building is actually one of the world cultural heritages, and I stayed in the best Tubo room. It reflects the characteristics of ******* style everywhere, with bright and bold colors. The bathroom walls and floors are all paved with black stones, and the walls are irregularly inlaid with turquoise. and other gems, beads in various niches high on the four walls, various thangkas in the lobby, steep wooden stairs, and the Potala Palace can be seen from the rooftop... I really like it so much, I really want to go from there. Pick out some gems from the wall. AAnonymous UserThe front desk staff were warm and responsible. Cering Drölma (or Tsering Drolma) escorted us to our room and thoroughly explained the in-room facilities. The room was clean and tidy with a large balcony and an expansive view. Room service was also excellent; items we requested were delivered promptly, and we even received a complimentary sweet red bean soup for supper. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. We experienced both the hotel's singing bowl sound therapy and the ******* Six Healing Exercises, both of which were fantastic and helped alleviate our travel fatigue. Plus, you can see the Potala Palace from the 8th floor!

Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen.
There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning.
Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

AAilvxingdexiaxiaojieWhen I first arrived in Lhasa, I stayed at Jicai, primarily because of its cleanliness and its proximity to the Potala Palace and Barkhor Street. My experience after checking in was excellent. After my trip to Nyingchi and Mêdog, I booked Jicai again. If you experience altitude sickness, the lobby provides an oxygen concentrator, and the rooms even have diffused oxygen supply.
I had wanted to try breakfast in Lhasa, so on my last day, I bought the hotel's breakfast and discovered their noodles (fen) are really good. I regretted not booking a room with breakfast included. If you're still debating whether to book breakfast, my advice is to go for it if you like sour and spicy noodles, because their breakfast noodles are delicious. Delicious, delicious!
Front desk service was good, and honestly, Jicai offers great value for money. Highly recommended.

The airport pickup service was punctual and attentive. The driver was calm and professional, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey. Throughout our trip, the hotel arranged a dedicated driver to take us to Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. The routes were well-planned, the driving was steady, and he waited patiently, allowing us to easily visit these sacred sites without any worries.
I must give special praise to our butler, Zhixi. His service was incredibly meticulous and he anticipated our every need. From guiding us during check-in and offering itinerary suggestions to providing tips for high altitude, he followed up attentively throughout, always responsive to our requests. He handled every small detail with such care and thoughtfulness, making us feel completely at ease.
The dining experience at the restaurant was excellent. The dishes were varied, delicious, and of high quality. A special thanks to Dekyi Wangmo for her exceptional care. Her service was warm and attentive; she proactively anticipated our needs, from taking orders to refilling tea and providing thoughtful details. The dining atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, and we enjoyed every meal thoroughly. This was especially helpful for us who experienced some altitude sickness.
Standard hotel services were also top-notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were humble, courteous, and responded quickly. Whether it was helping with facilities, addressing requests, or providing temporary assistance, they were efficient and warm, truly making us feel at home.
From airport transfers and butler service to restaurant care, the Shangri-La Hotel's exceptional dedication protected our entire journey, making our high-altitude trip warm and smooth.

It's really worth the price; there's a laundry room and a separate shower and toilet. They even gave us a welcome gift of fruit and a breakfast voucher. My friend said it was the best noodles he'd had on his trip to Lhasa. We were supposed to order food from our room that day, but we realized we were late. While we were making a call in the lobby, a front desk staff member proactively poured us a cup of hot tea! They were so attentive and helpful—I loved it! If they had this in other cities, I'd definitely stay here everywhere. Much better than Hilton!
