Mountain view Hotels in Baoshan

The owner was delightful. We connected via WhatsApp--she contacted me while I was on the train to Baoshan and arranged a shuttle service for the 3 of us to come directly to her hotel. A hotel staff member met us at the gates of the Ancient City and brought us and our luggage down to the lovely hotel. Very clean, great view, and a charming guest house. She and her mother in law made AMAZING breakfast meals--I think I gained a pound and it was worth it! She generously arranged transportation for us to Beihei Wetlands. At every turn she, her daughter, and other staff offered us fruit, tea, coffee, directions, travel support and more. One of the staff members has a lovely baby boy, whom we enjoyed seeing! I cannot say enough about this facility--clean bathrooms and common areas, comfortable beds, with top notch bedding and linens. We are from the US and our son speaks Chinese but we do not. The owner communicated very clearly with me via WhatApp (with translation services) which was no problem at all. Great restaurants and shops very close by. Lovely hotel owners, fantastic service, and a quaint town off the beaten path. If I could rate higher than a 10, I would!

Nuangui Homestay I sent emails to Nuangui via trip.com on 24 Nov and 30 Nov to arrange for complimentary pick up. I got no reply to my 2 emails. I telephoned Nuangui via trip.com on 1 Dec before flying out to TengChong, a lady answered the phone, she insisted she didn't receive my 2 emails, but promised to arrange pick up. When we arrived in TengChong we were picked up and dropped off at the entrance of HeShun and given a gps map sharing location and told to find our own way to the minsu after eating because their staff/boss refused to meet and greet us at the HeShun entrance. At the time it was around 9.30pm. Despite the gps map sharing, we spent a long time walking around dark, narrow, quiet streets of HeShun looking for something to eat and then later the minsu location. In the end we couldn't find the minsu. There was no one around to ask for durections and it was quite dark and very cold. By around 11.15pm we finally gave up looking and called the minsu to come and find us and take us to the minsu. They only answered after a few minutes of calling. It was lucky we insisted on calling, we would never have found the minsu by ourselves. The minsu itself was great, comfortable and clean. The location is convenient (when u know where it is and how to get there). The minsu staff took our luggage all the way, from the airport to the minsu, which was very helpful, I wouldn't have made it to the minsu if I had to carry my own luggage because a lot of the HsShun streets are uneven, uphill and many steps. The only hic up was the bath, originally we thought it wasn't working because there was no hot water coming out from the hot water tap. After 3 nights of stay, we later found out that the taps were installed incorrectly, C water tap meant hot water and the other way round. Also, even though staying in minsu in HeShun, you still have to pay entrance tickets, that wasn't pointed out on the minsu details.

The view from the B&B is amazing. It's so enjoyable to just lie in bed or sit on the sofa and gaze at Wild Duck Lake. The hot springs are real hot spring water too. I had a few allergic reactions on my first night, but I slept so soundly that night. I absolutely loved the private hot spring bath on the large terrace. On my first night, I soaked in the hot springs, drank plum wine from the small restaurant downstairs, listened to music, admired the beautiful view of Wild Duck Lake, and watched the clouds drift across the sky. ⛅️ It felt like life was worth it. On our last night, the helpful manager remotely filled the hot springs. Suddenly, it started to rain heavily. I couldn't let the water go to waste, so I suddenly had the idea of ​​soaking in the hot springs under an umbrella. ♨️ What an unforgettable experience. When I checked out today, the handsome front desk guy drove me to my hotel downtown. His service was so thoughtful and deserves a five-star rating. Shanghai was 40 degrees Celsius, but Tengchong was only 18 today—such cool weather. Tengchong is perfect for a lazy person like me to just relax. See you next time.

The B&B has a beautiful environment, and the room is clean, tidy, and very spacious. The shower, toilet, and vanity are all separate, which is very convenient. They even provide thoughtful touches like eye masks, earplugs, and toothpicks in the room. We booked a room with a private hot spring bath, and it was so comfortable and relaxing to soak after a day out. There were welcome fruits, afternoon tea and coffee, and even bedtime milk in the evenings – just a quick call to the owner and they'd deliver it to our room. The owner always greeted us when we left and returned, making us feel truly at home. You can tell they put a lot of effort into making every guest feel welcome. When we left, the owner even gave us sulfur essential oil soap as a gift and arranged for a pick-up to the airport. We're so grateful! If we ever go back to Tengchong, we'll definitely choose this B&B again and recommend it to our friends.

I originally came to see the ginkgo trees in autumn, but I couldn't see a single yellow leaf >_< ::: Luckily, I stayed at a warm and welcoming inn. Not only was the environment comfortable and the facilities complete, but there was also a hot spring to soak in. I could have checked in without bringing anything ^o^ The innkeeper would also regularly invite me to drink tea brewed over a charcoal stove and eat freshly baked tofu/fried dough sticks in the courtyard... And there were guests from all over chatting together. Even without seeing the yellow leaves, I felt fulfilled. Living a slow-paced life in the ancient city, meeting new friends, and experiencing the warmth and humanity of everyday life.

Appreciated for the airport pick up & sending us away to the old town main entrance on our departure. It would be very difficult to come & find the hotel if no one picked up. Room is clean & bedding is comfy… nice & quiet area. Just a bit far from the old town center. Driver + guide offered us a day tour around the city with reasonable price. However, she took us to a tea store for tasting & we finally purchased some tea… which was very overpriced! We wasn’t realized at that time & found out the next day when we walked around other tea houses in the old town. We were charged a bit more than double the price! So never trust any stores recommend by driver or tour guide. Sight seeing is good enough but don’t made any purchase which are recommended by guide or driver. Tengchong is a nice area , I may come back.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this place was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Tengchong. The location is absolutely beautiful. It’s tucked away in the mountains, surrounded by greenery and open fields, so it feels peaceful and secluded without being too far from the main attractions. Waking up to misty mountain views every morning was such a treat. The biggest reason I booked this place was the private hot spring, and it did not disappoint. The hot spring water comes directly from Rehai and is available 24/7. Having a private soaking pool in the courtyard was amazing—completely private, quiet, and perfect after a long day of exploring. After visiting Rehai and the surrounding attractions, soaking in the warm mineral water felt incredibly relaxing. My muscles felt less sore, and I slept so well afterward. The room itself was spotless and very comfortable. The bed was soft, the bathroom was modern and well-maintained, and even the toiletries felt high quality. Everything was clean and thoughtfully prepared. What really stood out was the service. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with fresh local fruit, and they took the time to explain how to use the hot spring and recommend places to visit nearby. They were always quick to help whenever we had questions. Breakfast here was delicious, with local Tengchong specialties like freshly cooked rice noodles and eggs. There’s also a nice spot to grab coffee and relax around the property. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with family, or bringing your parents for a relaxing wellness getaway, I would definitely recommend this place. If I ever return to Tengchong, I’d stay here again without hesitation.

The hotel has a great location, very close to the library. The rooms are spacious and clean, with separate areas. You can also soak in the hot spring at the hotel in the evening, which is a very pleasant experience. The breakfast is also good, and it's just a 3-minute walk from the ancient town.

This time we came to Tengchong for a hot spring getaway, and my friends and I booked three rooms. We stayed in Heshun Ancient Town for the first two days, but the experience was quite average, so we decided to switch hotels and chose Angsana based on reviews. It turns out that was a great decision. The lobby was bright and clean, making a very good first impression. The entire resort grounds were well-landscaped with lots of greenery; walking around, the air felt incredibly fresh. The toiletries in the room smelled lovely, not like cheap artificial fragrances, and the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Manager Bill proactively contacted us to discuss our needs before check-in, and during our stay, he was very responsive and helpful whenever we had requests. His service attitude was excellent and attentive, truly commendable. For dinner, we went to the Banyan Tree restaurant next door, and the hotel provided a car to pick us up afterward, which was very convenient. The breakfast restaurant had a great view; sitting by the window enjoying breakfast was very pleasant, and the food was good, with some local specialties. On the second morning, I accidentally twisted my ankle coming out of the Budu Teahouse. I called for the shuttle, and it arrived very quickly, which was reassuring. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay; the service, environment, and attention to detail were all excellent. If you're coming to Tengchong for a hot spring vacation, Angsana is an excellent choice.

Following the check-in instructions, I circled the complex four or five times but couldn't find Unit 19. After calling and adding them on WeChat, I had to contact another person to transfer the room. The customer service representative immediately told me the room I had booked was unavailable. I reluctantly went to see another unit and was shocked to find it was practically unfinished. When I asked, the representative replied, ”Whether you stay or not, this is the price. You can either get a refund or not.” They even asked why I hadn't seen the room before. I insisted that I had never seen a room that didn't match the order photos at all. The representative replied, ”It's just advertising...” My family was exhausted after seeing the second unit, so we reluctantly checked in. The experience was terrible, like swallowing flies. It felt like I would be treated badly if I hadn't stayed in a villa. Because I booked early, the price was slightly cheaper, and they were eager for me to get a refund. They prefer to sell at a higher price when they have plenty of resources. It seems that even in small places with abundant natural resources, people only care about short-term profits, lacking integrity and respect for customers. The poor service of the Tengchong homestays doesn't match the scenery at all. It's not worth recommending and is not a good choice for a vacation.
