Living here is like living in my own home. The proprietress is attentive and gentle. She prepares breakfast for us every morning. Because one day the trip is to go to Gaoligong Mountain for a hike, she deliberately went to the town in the morning to buy rain shoes for us. She has always asked us to eat local specialty thin bean powder. And ask us what we like to eat for breakfast. The picture is the fruit prepared for us. We all like to eat that green mango, so we have been giving it to us. In short, if I still come to Heshun Ancient Town, I will still choose this one.

The host was very nice and helped us with our luggage, even though we had a lot of luggage. The courtyard was particularly beautiful, with a lovely ginkgo tree and a large swing. However, when we booked the room, we mentioned that breakfast was included. When we woke up in the morning and asked about it, the host said they didn't offer it because there were too few people, but they hadn't informed us in advance. Everything else was fine and clean. Nuangui Homestay I sent emails to Nuangui via trip.com on 24 Nov and 30 Nov to arrange for complimentary pick up. I got no reply to my 2 emails. I telephoned Nuangui via trip.com on 1 Dec before flying out to TengChong, a lady answered the phone, she insisted she didn't receive my 2 emails, but promised to arrange pick up. When we arrived in TengChong we were picked up and dropped off at the entrance of HeShun and given a gps map sharing location and told to find our own way to the minsu after eating because their staff/boss refused to meet and greet us at the HeShun entrance. At the time it was around 9.30pm. Despite the gps map sharing, we spent a long time walking around dark, narrow, quiet streets of HeShun looking for something to eat and then later the minsu location. In the end we couldn't find the minsu. There was no one around to ask for durections and it was quite dark and very cold. By around 11.15pm we finally gave up looking and called the minsu to come and find us and take us to the minsu. They only answered after a few minutes of calling. It was lucky we insisted on calling, we would never have found the minsu by ourselves. The minsu itself was great, comfortable and clean. The location is convenient (when u know where it is and how to get there). The minsu staff took our luggage all the way, from the airport to the minsu, which was very helpful, I wouldn't have made it to the minsu if I had to carry my own luggage because a lot of the HsShun streets are uneven, uphill and many steps. The only hic up was the bath, originally we thought it wasn't working because there was no hot water coming out from the hot water tap. After 3 nights of stay, we later found out that the taps were installed incorrectly, C water tap meant hot water and the other way round. Also, even though staying in minsu in HeShun, you still have to pay entrance tickets, that wasn't pointed out on the minsu details.

The view from the B&B is amazing. It's so enjoyable to just lie in bed or sit on the sofa and gaze at Wild Duck Lake. The hot springs are real hot spring water too. I had a few allergic reactions on my first night, but I slept so soundly that night. I absolutely loved the private hot spring bath on the large terrace. On my first night, I soaked in the hot springs, drank plum wine from the small restaurant downstairs, listened to music, admired the beautiful view of Wild Duck Lake, and watched the clouds drift across the sky. ⛅️ It felt like life was worth it. On our last night, the helpful manager remotely filled the hot springs. Suddenly, it started to rain heavily. I couldn't let the water go to waste, so I suddenly had the idea of ​​soaking in the hot springs under an umbrella. ♨️ What an unforgettable experience. When I checked out today, the handsome front desk guy drove me to my hotel downtown. His service was so thoughtful and deserves a five-star rating. Shanghai was 40 degrees Celsius, but Tengchong was only 18 today—such cool weather. Tengchong is perfect for a lazy person like me to just relax. See you next time.

At the end of breakfast, I slipped to the Wild Duck Lake and the scenery was beautiful. It was very pleasant to stroll on the bluestone road. This is the life I yearn for. The room was quite spacious, but the bathroom facilities were a bit outdated. It's located on the edge of the ancient town, a bit far from the main area, so it's not recommended for elderly people with mobility issues. It's fine for young people, and you can even take a walk around Wild Duck Lake. The hot springs were okay, but perhaps because we went during the off-season, there were only two pools available, so the experience wasn't great when it was crowded. I highly recommend the nearby ”Mama's Taste” restaurant – it's incredibly delicious!

The guesthouse location is really right at the centre of the morning market. All the good food are within the area. Even though the accommodation location is within the morning market, room sound-proofing is still good. Room is clean n big. Newly renovated with all the amenities, except fridge n aircon within the room. But you still can cook or store items at the common kitchen at 2nd floor. Owners are friendly n helpful. Willing to share info when you have queries. Got a cutest black cat in the premises. Will stay there again if I ever travel there again.
