Amazing
Ccherry2106133The hotel is conveniently located right behind a shopping mall, and the internal facilities are quite good, making for a comfortable stay. Although the hotel isn't large, it has everything you need. The small bar upstairs is also nice and has a small pool. The only downside is the elevator wait times can be a bit long, as there are many guests. However, once you leave the mall, there isn't much else to explore in the immediate vicinity. On the bright side, it's very quiet at night.

TTaMaReThis is a good basic stay fir the money paid, I think around £25 per night? I feel kind of lucky I had bungalow 36 which was right opposite the reception but having said that I didn’t have any privacy because the double glazed patio doors only had curtains which when open everyone could see in meaning when I was there I had to have the curtains closed and the lights on. Which was a shame as a simple set of sheet curtains would have solved this issue. Having said that the noise was limited I expected it to be noisy but Toks bars did keep the music low and I think it went off quite early too. I had a terrace eith bench exterior lighting and table, bin and broom to sweep up sand and a thick bathroom mat towel to dust sand off feet when entering the bungalow. Inside the bungalow was a fridge a safe wardrobe kettle urn two mugs two glasses, 2 dental kits, shampoo conditioner shower gel, 2 x towels, 1 small roll of toilet roll, 1 x bar of soap. You get towels, wash kit loo roll left on your terrace each night of your stay except the night before you leave. I think if you want your room done over you ask reception. The room was clean though the bathroom appeared clean but could do with a deep clean as sink overflow was black and the air con piping was dusty as was the extraction fan. You also got a bath mat in the bathroom and a bin. The loo had a bidet facet. There was a slight sewage smell in the morning on my second day but it’s an island and sure their sewage collection piping is probably quite fragile. I walked to the hotel when I arrived and I think you walk past the sewage works/garbage tip it smells horrendous 🤣. Overall I would stay here again as it’s a good location not sure if I would want to be in a bungalow at the top of the hill though. the beach is across the road, taxi open vans pick up from outside, there’s a cafe, snack places, restaurant bar across the road Toks on the beach and in front of that is a set of beach loungers run by Ed she charges 100 baht. The beach is beautiful a little litter here and there and around the island as a whole but I think you’d find that a lot of places these days, it’s very sad.

RRay2233Traveling with kids and elderly parents, we booked two rooms for two nights. At the time of booking, only deluxe rooms were available, and the price wasn't great. The rooms were arranged in a row of three, quite far inside, and a bit small with poor soundproofing, but they were clean. The hotel has its own pier, and the ferry to and from the island is free. Our luggage went directly to the island's front desk, which was very convenient. We were charged a 200 Thai Baht per person island fee at check-in, but it was refunded at check-out, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff, both at the pier and the hotel, were very friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast was also plentiful. Next time we visit Koh Samet, we'll definitely book a deluxe cottage closer to the beach.

NNipoditangxianzuStayed for 2 nights and 3 days. You can snorkel directly in front of the hotel, and there are more fish near the coral reefs, but I wouldn't recommend going there if the waves are big. It's best to wear long pants and diving socks to avoid scratches. The sand right outside is very fine and soft. Breakfast is served by the sea with ocean views. The bar street can get a bit noisy at night, so it might not be suitable for light sleepers, but since we usually go to bed late, it didn't bother us. A major plus is that the bedsheets are changed for every new guest. The room has many windows, making it bright and airy. The only downsides are that the shower only has a handheld showerhead and the water pressure is a bit low. For shopping, try to go to the 7-Eleven on the main street, as the supermarket here is about a third more expensive. Overall, it offers great value for money and is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

SShiliujieyaFirst off, the environment is nice, and the staff are all very good, especially the one who helped us with the small boat for snorkeling. Secondly, the pier is extremely far from the hotel, and there's no shuttle service – no pickup, no drop-off. A songthaew costs 500 Thai baht one way. There are no convenience stores nearby, so you're stuck at the hotel for all your food and drink, but the hotel food is really bad. There wasn't enough conditioner in the room. I called the front desk, and they told me they didn't have any conditioner. How can a hotel costing over 2000 RMB a night not have conditioner??? Good environment, but service needs improvement.

PPaul from LondonThis hotel is located at the quiet end of the beach Very clean room and maids very sweet and friendly The grounds are clean and well looked after Breakfast on the beach side restaurant with friendly staff Good choice for breakfast The only problem I have with this hotel when you are paying nearly 3500 THB a night is not enough beach furniture When see people not guest at the hotel coming early and reserving their chairs and umbrella by put down a towel and moving furniture around then going away for a few hours coming back with friends There is one umbrella and 3 chairs per set Most people are in couples so only need 2 chairs If have children staff should provide a mat under the umbrella Staff shouldn't let guests move furniture around This way more guests at hotel can get a space on the beach We had breakfast at 7.30am and by 8am we had too rush too get our space on the beach before all gone A nice hotel and nice clean beach Just stop non guests using furniture and moving around When you are paying good money too stay here You want a spot on the beach The other option is too sit in restaurant all day If we come back too Koh Samet this hotel would be a back up option Over all nice stay 👍

SSunéKWe had such a lovely stay at The Salil Hotel Sukhumvit 57 – Thonglor and would absolutely come back again. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Thonglor, close to great restaurants, cafes, and nightlife, but still peaceful enough to relax properly. It made getting around Bangkok very easy. The hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained, and everything was spotless. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, which made our stay feel effortless. Breakfast was definitely a highlight. There was a great variety of options, fresh ingredients, and something for every mood. It was the perfect way to start each day. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and always helpful. From check in to check out, they made us feel welcome and taken care of. Overall, such a great experience. Comfortable, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

JJules66This is a good low budget option to experience island life, but not that low budget £60 per night ( January 2026) We are very familiar with island life in Thailand and appreciate that some things just don’t work as well. The location of Malibu Samed Resort is gorgeous, it’s more or less situated on the beach of the small quaint Wong Duean Bay. There are several beach restaurants available, the vibe is chilled, without the drinking or ******** culture. It’s lovely. Our welcome was warm, the staff were great and happy to help with our luggage. Our room is small 16 m² with 2 single beds, some hanging and storage space. It has a rustic feel to it. There is a fridge which is always welcome, tea and coffee making facilities, which we always appreciate, as well as a safety deposit box & flat screen TV. The bed and pillow are comfortable but not sumptuous. Towels are provided and I would say are of typical island quality. However the shower was an issue, obviously water is limited on the island and taking a hot shower was challenging but actually having a good supply of water either in the evening or morning was very hit and miss. Missed more often, it gets frustrating when you can’t have an adequate shower, that’s one of the reasons we move about frequently. Breakfast is of limited quality but there are a variety of options including cereal, hot food both western & Thai. Toast cereal and tea & coffee. The pool area was hardly used during our stay so a nice quiet retreat from the beach was available.

GGuest UserNice little hotel we stayed in the down stairs room no window and shower over toilet, the owner has spent a lot of money on this place tiling in shower to a very high standard, did have one concern didn’t see a smoke alarm and not having a window and walkway to get out was a bit scary, also if someone is in the loft room with kids above you there is a lot of noise, we had to get up first night to tell them to keep the noise down.

GGuest UserThe location is convenient, just a few meters from the sea, and close to the lively areas too. The hotel itself is in a relatively quiet spot, and I say 'relatively quiet' because it's surrounded by lush vegetation. Many birds start their dawn chorus early in the morning, which is actually lovely – waking up to the sounds of different birds is quite nice. The hotel is a bit old, and the rooms aren't large, but they do clean upon request. The rooms have everything you need for a short stay. We really enjoyed it, though our noisy neighbors who were playing loud music and singing spoiled it a little. However, the hotel staff quickly quieted them down by asking them to keep it down.
