The Vertical Boutique Taganskaya Hotel is a unique boutique hotel perfectly integrated into the historical context of Taganka, one of the most remarkable districts of Moscow. The hotel has a great location and visuals. It's less than 10 minutes from the metro, and there are shops and cafes nearby. The staff is excellent. The room is nice and clean, but the lighting is poor – it's extremely difficult to do anything with your face (shaving, etc.) near the mirror next to the sink because the light falls from above and doesn't illuminate anything below – the mirror's backlight doesn't help. The stairs to the second floor (in the room) are inconvenient; you have to be extremely careful when going up and down. You should communicate with reception through the hotel app, but it's quicker to go there yourself. The bathroom has an unpleasant odor, but it's clean. The breakfasts aren't particularly varied, but they were perfectly adequate for me (maybe this will be important for others). Despite a few ”buts,” I would stay here for 1-2 days again.

The hotel is in a quiet location, and the staff is very friendly. Everything is clean. The room has a suitcase storage area, a closet, and a desk, which is very convenient for storing things. There is a refrigerator. There is no kettle or slippers, but this wasn't a problem for me. There is a cooler with hot and cold water on each floor. You can also get boiling water and use the microwave in the dining room on the ground floor. The breakfast is quite filling. After checkout, I was allowed to leave my suitcase for a few hours. Overall, my experience was good.

Outstanding
IINTAN HASLINDADAVISI had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. I had clearly booked and fully paid for a Suite room in advance through Trip, but upon arrival, the staff gave me a small room. They initially claimed that their system did not show my Suite booking and even said that I had not made any payment, which was very frustrating since I had already paid in full before my arrival.
After some discussion, they finally confirmed that my payment was received. However, I was too tired to continue arguing about the suite room, so I ended up staying in the smaller room.
What made things worse, I had already tried to contact the hotel one month before my arrival via Telegram and email to confirm my booking, but I never received any response.
The only positive point is that the staff were personally kind and still helped me carry my suitcase upstairs, since there is no lift in the hotel.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a fantastic downtown location, super close to the subway. Our room was really spacious, comfy, and sparkling clean. The bathroom was quite roomy, though the shower stall itself was a tad small. My only real complaint is that the fridge was broken – my ice cream melted! Also, the closet door was a bit saggy and scraped the floor, making it hard to open and close. On the bright side, breakfast was plentiful and varied, and I loved the Chinese signs; that was a nice touch.
QQuandichenghouThe efficiency was really low, and communication was difficult.
We were three people staying. The description said there was a 1.8m bed and a 1.2m sofa bed, but there wasn't one. I went to the front desk at 5:00 AM to explain the situation and they asked for one, but it still hadn't been added by 9:00 AM. I called guest services and they gave me a quilt and pillow to sleep on the floor.
The second floor we were assigned had no privacy, and the street noise was so loud that I couldn't sleep.
2206293****The location is quite good, right next to the subway station, making it convenient for getting around. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs building is right next door, and it's also close to the river. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, which is very convenient. The room is a bit small, but the cleanliness is decent. There's a full-length mirror and a dressing table. The only downside is that there's nowhere to hang laundry, and there's no place to put clothes in the bathroom. There's a water dispenser near the elevator with hot water, which is very convenient.
GGuest UserHello to the esteemed management of Novotel Moscow, I am guest Saja Al-Mutawa. I would like to inform you of my extreme dissatisfaction with the receptionist Varvara's treatment of me upon check-in. My reservation was from 6/18/2025 to 6/22/2025, two rooms for four people, reservation number (). The full amount of the stay was paid via Trip.com. My flight was delayed, so my check-in was delayed that day. This was a delay from the airline, and I bear no responsibility for it. I arrived on 6/19/2025. I contacted the reception before that, and informed them that I would be delayed about four times, and the employee told me that it was fine as long as the reservation was paid. I also contacted the Trip.com app, but upon arrival at the hotel, I was told that the reservation had been canceled!! How I contacted you several times and each time I was told that my flight was delayed and my reservation was paid for. After many attempts that lasted for hours and I explained my situation that I was with an elderly person with cancer who was receiving chemotherapy and was very tired, our passports were taken and we were given rooms. I am very upset with this unprofessional treatment and will not give the hotel a good rating despite my great satisfaction with the place and rooms.
GGuest UserThis place is perfect for solo travelers – it's affordable, and the location is great, right by a subway station. I actually came here on a recommendation. The mattress is really comfortable and springy. Just make sure not to disturb other guests during your stay. The only downside is that the washer and dryer are really inconvenient to use, especially if you don't understand Russian and haven't used them before. Plus, you only get an hour and a half to use them, which feels a bit rushed.
KKeleisaisijiaxuRecently, due to interference from Ukrainian drones, GPS near Red Square has been nearly ineffective and stuck. I wandered around several times before finally reaching the riverside, where I found this single, two-story yellow building based on the pictures in the comments section. It's easy to find Red Square from the hotel; just a few blocks away, you can see the Onion-domed Church in the distance. On the way back, I didn't even need to check my phone's navigation because it was broken!
First, the front desk lady spoke English. While waiting in line to check in, I wanted to see the hotel's amenities, but she immediately stopped me, raised her hands, and greeted me with a ”Hello.” Actually, I had to wear shoe covers to enter the hotel area. When it was my turn to check in, I spoke very little English, but she slowly explained the hotel rules to me and showed me the bathrooms, showers, and shared kitchen. Even with my limited English, I understood most of what she said. When I checked out, she was very welcoming and smiled, welcoming me back in English.
Second, the hotel was much cleaner than I expected, with many attractive young people staying there, and everyone was very polite and didn't bother anyone.
GGuest UserFacilities: This is a well-established hotel. While it offers all the essential amenities, its style and decor definitely show their age.
Cleanliness: The hygiene conditions were excellent, and daily housekeeping was very thorough.
Location: Situated very centrally in Moscow, it boasts convenient transportation and lovely views. The only slight drawback is the occasional noise from motorcycles roaring past outside the window, but I understand this is often unavoidable in such a prime location.
Service: My interaction with the service staff was limited due to a language barrier and not having opted for breakfast, so I can't comment extensively on their service quality.
PPbcuyI recently stayed at Izmailovo Delta Hotel in Moscow and overall I found it a solid and affordable base for city travel — with several elements that made the stay worthwhile.
👍 What stood out
• The hotel’s location is very convenient: it’s a short walk (just a few minutes) from the metro (Partizanskaya Metro Station), which makes it easy to reach central Moscow and all the major sights in around 15 minutes.
• The rooms are generally well-equipped and comfortable, with essentials like a comfy bed, air conditioning, a desk or seating area, and complimentary WiFi.
• For the price — especially relative to many central-Moscow hotels — the balance of amenities and location offers very good value. Many guests highlight the reasonable room rates compared with convenience and comfort.
• The hotel complex is large and well-equipped: there are multiple restaurants, bars/cafés, a gym/spa/fitness centre, and facilities such as currency exchange and underground parking — handy if you’re staying several nights or travelling with heavier luggage.
🌟 My honest take
Izmailovo Delta works especially well if you:
• want to stay somewhere budget-friendly, without compromising too much on comfort or convenience.
• plan to use public transport (metro) to move around Moscow — it’s efficient and keeps you well-connected.
• value a hotel that has plenty of amenities and services in-house (restaurants, spa/fitness, shops), which can help if you don’t want to navigate far after a long day of sightseeing.
It’s not a “luxury boutique” stay — the décor and furnishings feel functional rather than lavish — but if you’re looking for reliability, comfort, and good transport links, Izmailovo Delta delivers
GGuest User
