GGuest UserThe hotel's location and service were both excellent! Even when checking in late at night, there was someone available to assist, and everyone was very friendly. The room's facilities were all comprehensive, perfectly equipped, and incredibly comfortable and convenient. The bed was, without a doubt, the most comfortable bed I've slept in at any hotel in New Zealand!

GGuest UserThe bed was large and comfortable, and the hotel's location in the city center was excellent. The room itself was a good size, clean, and stylishly designed. I heard it's the tallest building in Christchurch. It's within walking distance to restaurants, shopping malls, and other commercial areas.

WWenhaoyousifangThe room was spacious and well-equipped with amenities like a pot, range hood, and toaster. Booking early definitely saved me some money compared to booking 3-4 days before. The hotel's location is excellent, and the surroundings are beautiful (P2, P3). It's right in the heart of Christchurch, a 5-minute walk from the Avon River, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Botanic Gardens entrance. I also walked to the city bus interchange. To get to the airport, you can take bus routes 8 or 29, which are also about an 8-minute walk away. The front desk staff seemed to be Indian, and communication in English was smooth. I had a booking through Ctrip that suggested I change room types to get the lowest total price for two consecutive nights, which might have required me to switch rooms the next morning. I spoke with the front desk, and she patiently helped me stay in the higher-priced room for both nights (without switching rooms); I just needed to reactivate my key card the following morning. After 10:30 PM, the hotel's front desk is unstaffed. If you check in too late, they will leave your room key in a coded box outside the main entrance and email you the code. The only minor issue is that one of Christchurch's ******* is located next to the hotel (P1), about a 5-minute walk away. However, the security at night is actually fine (P4) – it's livelier than Auckland at night. I wandered around until 8:30 PM and didn't see anyone drunk on my way back to the hotel.

AAnonymous UserBreakfast is good. Location is good. Receptionists are kind and helpful. Hotel booklet mentioned the filter water is available in the lobby area but receptionist asked us to go to restaurant area to get it. However, the restaurant staff were very rude to us and questioned us. We felt we were treated like a the thefts when we just tried to fill in the hot water in our water bottles. The hot water was only available from the coffee machine, which is very inconvenient and the restaurant staff thought we tried to steal coffees when we just tried to get the hot water. Suggest not to put the water machine in the restaurant area to avoid this problem again. Very bad experience to be treat like this.

GGuest UserIt was a rainy and windy New Year's Eve in Christchurch. After a long struggle picking up the rental car at the airport in the rain, we cautiously drove for half an hour to reach the hotel and park. The black gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel's inner courtyard is beautiful. The room decor, as mentioned in other reviews, is indeed a bit dated, but the room itself is quite spacious. We braved the stormy weather to walk back and forth to Amazonita for our New Year's Eve dinner, and my pants and socks were completely soaked when we returned. To my surprise, there was a washer-dryer combo unit, complete with two small packets of laundry detergent and instructions taped next to it. After getting Doubao to translate how to use the machine, I washed all my wet clothes. They came out warm and dry, ready to wear the next day.

LlauritravelsWe came late at night because of our flight. Self check in on the tablet in front of reception was really easy and fast. We booked an additional late check-out until 1pm directly during check-in for $10 extra. However, the automatic reminder mails from Lylo stated 11am as check-out time and also our keycard didn‘t work anymore, when we came back to the hotel at 12pm - should really improve this in your software.  The room was really nice and comfy, had AC and you can also use their really big kitchen and lounge on 1F. There‘s also free coffee/tee and a kettle on 2F, where our room was located.

The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including a comfortable bed and a small kitchenette. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the parking was convenient. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was also great—close to shops, restaurants, and easy access to the city. Overall, it’s a good choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.

GGuest UserMy friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!
