"The location is super strategic and convenient, just a few walking steps to airport, bus station to Christchurch city and place to pick up & drop off our car rental. Their receptionists are very polite and always put a big smile when we approached them. We arrived the hotel in the earlier morning and went for city walk before check in. They helped us put all our luggages inside our room before we back and a little “kiwi” soft toy was surprised for my little kid. Highly recommend!!!"

"Very nice common area, the kitchen is very clean aswell with good ventellation. The room is nice and so is the service. Very convinient with self checkin-checkout especially if you have morning flights. Parking was available however it was 15nzd/day. Only a 10-15 minute walk away from the airport, it was nexr to a walkpath straight to the airport so it was very convinient"

"This was our second time back at The George. Service is as always, top notched and we know we are always well taken care off. The concierge was friendly and very helpful with our bags, maps, restaurant recommendations, etc. When our car windscreen was frosted, he even helped us to remove the frost and clear up the windows for us. Night time turn down service was great excellent as well - they give you a little teddy bear to bring home, and chocolates on the table. 10/10 we would recommend this to everyone."

"The hotel is fairly centrally located (about a 15 minute walk), but at the same time in a quiet area. The room was huge, for lack of a better term - it's basically a lounge, a twin room and a double room. Not sure if that's actually the room I booked or an upgrade. At any rate, it was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The outer design is also very nice. There's also afternoon tea for free from 15:30 till 16:30. The price is not particularly low, but all things considered it's value for money (only 25-30% more expensive than a private room in a hostel), especially if more than one person is staying. All in all, a great option, if your budget allows it."

"Beautiful old building and needs a bit of TLC. The upstairs room wasn't in the trip.com description so this was difficult to manouvre with a heavy suitcase. Finding the front entrance was also difficult and we had to call the front desk to figure out how to check in. Perhaps a clear sign outside will help."
