Hotels near Old Lighthouse, Puducherry

The room is large, the swimming pool is beautiful, and the breakfast is rich, fresh and nutritious. It is located in the central area, and the building next door is being renovated. Those looking for quiet may be disappointed. However, the front desk allowed us to check out one day early, and we received a refund after many communications. Great!

The staff were really nice and attentive to all our needs, organising taxis, tours, Ayurvedic treatments and the free activities which included Chef. It was a great experience except with the hot season, the restaurant was hot even with the fans. However that’s also part of the experience in an old mansion

The Radisson Pont du Chery is a hotel of no more than four stars, and it is very far from the main (white) part of the city. It is about 13–14 km away, and the hotel charges USD 20 each way, USD 20 to go and USD 20 to return. So, if someone wants to visit Pont du Chery, the hotel is extremely far. Moreover, there is nothing around the hotel at all—zero, a desert. It is suitable only for those who want to stay isolated from the city and close to the beach (about 500 meters away). Otherwise, it is not suitable for a tourist who wants to visit Pont du Chery🛜🛜🛜 The staff is excellent. The breakfast is good. The reception staff is exceptional

Lovely oasis of calm, boutique hotel in the heart of the White Town. We stayed for 2 nights. We dined at the restaraunt on the first night, the food and ambience was excellent. We also dined twice at their sister restaraunt” La Villa” which had a 7 course taster menu that was excellent and great value for money. They are also affiliated with the bar/restaraunt ”The Spot” which we really enjoyed visiting during the day for a drink and spot of lunch in a nice courtyard. Breakfast at Villa Shanti was also good and the staff were all very polite and friendly. Our room was charming and comfortable. We felt the roof terrace area could have been a more attractive area to sit out on than it was it was quite basic and felt a bit neglected but otherwise we found the hotel a great place to stay.

Came to celebrate my birthday and had a nice time. Everyone smiles at you. Got a cake from them too.. Pro: -Service is super fast and feel like luxury. -Indoor pool was great and very clean. -Gym had trainers in the evening i guess. -Breakfast spread was huge with both veg and non veg. English breakfast was also wide. -centre of the city yet so quiet -Bed is huge and rooms are okaying spacious - iPad with lot of high tech - expresso was had to make but they give help u. - good Wi-Fi - valet parking Con: Asked for room cleaning late evening but didn’t do it. Tv controls in iPad for other entertainment apps are hard .(can provide normal tv control extra too

The hotel is nestled in the French town part of Pondicherry which is within walking distance to the promenade and the numerous cafés and restraints scattered around. The staff are cordial, the place neat and spacious. The hotel does neither have a parking no area for cars nor facility for drivers. Overall an enjoyable stay.

The Hotel is very nicely located in the middle of white town many attractions and beach is at walking distance. The staff is very supportive and polite.

I loved the hotel services! The majestic look make you feel great & important! All their staff are super helpful and humble! They constantly check on you to see if you need any help! Their breakfast provides variety of choices including cook to order! We went to ‘Villa Shanti’ bar & restaurant in pondicherry! The ambience & food are superb that we really had great family bonding! Something not to missed when you travel to pondicherry! How to miss their beaches!!! And sir aurobinda ashram? Such as divine place & you’ll instantly feel connected & peacful
