Hotels near South District, Tainan

Stayed here last year and thought I'd come back to the same place. Wasn't quite as good as I remembered, but good for the price. First impressions of the room was that it was great except the cleaning wasn't quite on point - first thing I saw in the bathroom was a used tooth pick on the side next to the sink and the big chair had 2 dead insects on it. Facilities are otherwise good, but I didn't remember the TV being this bad. Booked up via some old school antenna and not a single channel was HD. Even the ones with an HD logo were SD and blurry. Everything else is great and handy that they have 2 washing machines and 2 dryers (free apart from $30 for detergent) although one person had hogged both dryers so I had a long wait before I could use a drying machine. Location is fantastic. Easy to walk to most of the sights, and right in the middle of loads of cool food places, even if most of them always seem to be shut!

The hotel was clean. I had a little trouble finding the hotel because the map was showing the wrong address. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was very clean; the blankets, bedding, and pillows were all clean and comfortable. Hot water came on quickly in the bathroom, and the showerhead had adjustable water pressure. It was a great hotel. I'll definitely book this hotel again when I go to Tainan for the Lunar New Year.

I recently stayed at the Lakeside Hotel and had a mostly wonderful experience. The room was sparkling clean with incredibly comfortable beds, making it a perfect place to relax. The breakfast was amazing, with a great selection of delicious options. The hotel also offers a pool, sauna, and gym, which are great amenities, though it would have been nice if robes were provided for the sauna and pool. The location is fantastic, and parking is excellent, which made getting around super easy. The staff were helpful and friendly, always available when needed. However, there were a few downsides. In the hotel lobby and restaurant, you are required to order something if you want to sit, which was disappointing as there was no area to work or meet without buying something. It would have been nice to have a comfortable common area. Additionally, during breakfast, the staff were a bit overzealous in clearing dishes. It felt rushed, with them swooping in to take plates as soon as you finished your last bite, which made the otherwise amazing breakfast feel uncomfortable. Overall, despite these small issues, I would definitely stay here again.

Location of the hotel is very good. Walkable to a lot of places and eateries. Preferred to have coffee and tea in the hotel room.

It has everything you need, including a fridge. The room is spacious and well equipped. You can leave your luggage if you arrive early. The staff is very friendly. They also offer a free snack area that opens at 7 pm and stays open until midnight.

Damn cute, breakfast was damn good also! It’s a family or child friendly hotel very good for kids although I didn’t go with any kids but my mum. Location is well for shopping mall and accessible to everywhere! Highly recommend!

Everything was great. I loved the location, it’s very close to the train station and bus stops, with a FamilyMart nearby. There isn’t much to eat or see in the immediate area, but a 15-minute bus ride or a 15-minute walk can take you anywhere you need to go (west central district, or any night market!), so we were fine with that. The room was clean, and the service was great. Nothing to complain about.

Clean and comfortable, convenient dining and shopping facilities

Good location where few attractions are quite nearby especially 永乐市场 where several nice foods are available from morning to night. Net clothing shop is just few steps away. Paper slippers and water bottles are still available but need to take it at the check in counter. You can refill drinking water and take some snacks at 2nd floor.
