one of the best and price worth hotels I have stayed in Taiwan. We had a family room and it was spacious. huge toilet. It was clean and comfortable! Will definitely be back. It is good for business traveller too. The breakfast was surprisingly quite good! Free parking and coin laundry to use. The facility is well maintained! The lobby was welcoming, clean and spacious with marbled flooring!! Staff was extremely friendly because I left my items in the fridge and they took the initiative to email me to inform!

This time, I stayed at Yiqi Yiqi (formerly Daxin Hotel), located near Dongdaemun Night Market. The transportation is very convenient, and there are plenty of restaurants and entertainment options nearby. The first-floor lounge has a snack bar, biscuit stand, and tea buffet, a tradition inherited from Xiaolu Bunkyoku, where you can relax. However, the interior facilities are quite old and need renovation; mold on the walls is clearly visible. The room is very small, similar to a youth hostel, except the rooms have private bathrooms. Given these specifications, the nightly rate is simply not worth it. For the same price, there are many better options. I do not recommend staying at this Bunkyoku.

It is more beautiful, and it is very suitable for groups or family and friends to travel.

The hotel is located at the back of the station, but because of the name of the hotel, I thought it was near Dongdaemun Night Market when I booked the room, but it's not far to the night market by bike~~ The room was clean and very comfortable.

So happy to see Hualian Charming Hotel as I walked out of Hualian Train Station, and the main bus stop is between the two buildings. Despite its proximity it is surprisingly quiet. Superb location for intercity travelling plus exploring the city by bus and to Taroko. Lots of eateries, souvenir shops and Family Mart and 7 Eleven. Can't ask for more. Hot and cold breakfast has meat and vegetarian selections, coffees and teas, and salads. No fuss check in and out, complimentary biscuits and hot drinks in the lobby until 8.00 PM. Rooms are spacious and clean, good range of shampoo and shower gel; can't ask for more.

GGuest UserUpdates: I had a great stay at Fullon Hotel Hualien. The room was spacious, comfortable, and has awesome view of the harbor. The location is ideal for me—close to the coast, at the start of the bike trail, and in a peaceful area. I loved being able to borrow a bike from the hotel, making it easy to explore the bike-friendly town. The staff was friendly and attentive. Even those who didn’t speak English used Google Translate to communicate, which I appreciated. The only downside was difficulty reaching the hotel before my arrival to confirm the station pick-up, which wasn’t sorted out and confirmed until the day before I arrived. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this hotel. Most likely will stay here again next time I'm in Hualien. Hopefully, I can reach them easier next time. ==================== 2025/01/13: Impossible to contact as a foreign visitor. I tried to send messages to the hotel via both email and LINE that were listed on their website since I don't live in TW. I tried to arrange for their pick up service from Hualien Station which is included with my stay. I have sent my inquiry for the details. I finally managed to get messages back one time via LINE after a day with a website that's not in English and a picture showing only a phone number for booking. At least the hotel didn't ask me to do international phone call and finally said I can request the booking with them via the LINE channel. So I sent the booking request with details. That was 3 days ago. And I have not received any message back or heard a peep from them. So I assume the service is still not booked. Not that the free ride matters since I should be able to get a cab easily, but the service, especially what's promise and the helpfulness of the staff, is quite underwhelming and on the side of not hospitable. For the same trip, I also had to reach out to Tango Hotel Taipei. They were very helpful with my inquiry and very fast. Hopefully the stay is nice. I'll come back to update my review then.

GGuest UserThis is a nice hotel. It is clean and welcoming. I did not try the food there. The seaview is not really worth as it is too far from the sea, but the rooms are a good size. The staff were friendly. Just make sure you message the staff 24 hours in advance to book a free transfer. They would not provide a same day service. Overall, a good hotel. About 3km from downtown. I did not mind walking, but taxis are cheap.

GGr3gBI stayed here for a few days and can only recommend it! The train and bus stations are just a few steps away, and the city center is within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable, with many thoughtful touches such as free coffee, snacks, and even ice cream!
