"This guesthouse seems to be run by Chinese owners, which is nice. My room was right by the entrance. After checking in at the front desk, I couldn't find it until I turned around... it felt a bit like sleeping in a guardhouse. The soundproofing isn't great either. Because of its peculiar location, it gets very noisy in the mornings. And the room next door seems to be a staff office, which also generates a lot of noise. However, the room was warm and clean, perfect for a night's sleep, and the price was excellent. The only downside is that it didn't have a private bathroom. The common areas were clean and there was even coffee available, which was a pleasant touch."

"It's a house with several rooms, a dining room, and a shared kitchen. It's 200 meters from the steam clock square. There's free parking. The rooms are spacious and have a nice bathroom. 100% recommendable. I would stay there again with my family."

"Traveling with 3 friends this time, we booked a private villa. Each room was uniquely decorated. The proprietress, who is from Shanghai, was very warm and hospitable and even treated us to coffee. The butler also prepared bread and milk for us. It truly felt like a home away from home. If we ever go to Otaru again, we'll definitely choose to stay here."

"I had an amazing time at this hotel. You will need to take 15 minutes taxi ride to reach here from Otaru station. It's right by the beach. Room is super spacious and comforting. There's kitchen and dining area. It was snowing so the balcony is filled with snow but the view is just so amazing. The staffs are very helpful. You can check in early with a small fee. Breakfast was simple. Complete amenities."

"The B&B's location is pretty good and convenient, with a convenience store right outside. The interior is beautiful and thoughtfully detailed. The front desk service was just okay, nothing special. The room itself was clean and tidy, but when we turned on the heater, there was a strong, persistent kerosene smell that was really unpleasant."

Comfort is well-addressed with one air-conditioner and a heater, ensuring a pleasant temperature regardless of the weather. The washing machine was a huge convenience, and we had options for drying clothes either on the hanger stand inside the room or on the balcony. The location is a major highlight, being within easy walking distance to both Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street. We also found it convenient to have a Lawson and various eateries nearby, though it's a good idea to check their opening hours as they can vary. Important Considerations for Your Stay While the location is excellent, it's important to note that the road leading to the building is steep. This could be particularly challenging if you're driving, and we would not advise driving during winter due to the road conditions. For those with a car, there are two parking areas available. The closer one has three slots, while a slightly further option offers approximately 12 slots. Keep this in mind, especially if you prioritize a closer parking spot."
