qinqin_7301Chose this stay as it provided breakfast buffet and we wanted to try how it works in Thailand. The stay was just by the lake side, and the environment was calming too. The classic room gives an antique vibe which is super cool, was clean, well equipped, and even had a bathtub inside. The breakfast buffet wasn’t a grand one as in a hotel, but it was prepared in adequate amount and they all tasted good, we had the chance to try Thai prawn porridge and pineapple fried rice on two different days. All the staffs were friendly and helpful. Definitely a good choice if you’re travelling to Songkhla too !

Lung Tsang
The hotel is located in walking distance from Songkhla old town/night market, and refurbished out of an ancient if not heritage building. It showcases the beauty of Thai Chinese interior design: every single display item brings back lots of nostalgia from the good old rosy days. The only drawback is the sound insulation as I could hear the convo from my fellow visitors next doors during my stay and also the sounds from outside (cat meows and roosters singing). Luckily i had my ear plugs so still managed to sleep. It seems the rooms on ground floor are nicer than those at second floor.

Ilja G.Room 4B was insufficiently cleaned at check-in, with hair and lint scattered all over the floor. After we complained, the floor was swept. At our request, the room was eventually mopped as well. However, the corners of the room and the area under the desk remained dirty. The kitchen floor was sticky and disgusting.
Only later did we realize that the entire room was affected by mold, as there was no ventilation and no way to open a window for fresh air. Never again!

I stayed on the second floor of a lovely house. The location is excellent, allowing me to easily walk everywhere. Breakfast was delicious roti with chicken curry. There's a small, chill garden. You have to take off your shoes on the first floor and walk up to the hotel. The floor is wooden, so it can be noisy and there are some small pebbles stuck to your feet.
The room was lovely, beautifully decorated, and the color scheme was nice. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom. It was quite narrow, and the rain shower was difficult to adjust the heat. Other than that, everything else was great.

The hotel is quite close to the beach, so the views are decent. However, it's a bit of a distance from the old town in the city center, which makes it a little less convenient. Overall, it's acceptable.

GaryDGood sized room and bathroom. Small balcony. Plenty of storage space. Kettle, fridge and microwave in room. Good aircon and Wi-Fi. Very nice staff, very helpful. Plenty of restaurants and street stalls close by. About a 15 minute walk to old town. Close to minibus station for Hat Yai and Nakhon.

Very friendly front desk service. I arrived much earlier and thought I would have to wait before checking in, but the hotel quickly prepared a room for me. The bathroom was separate and spacious. Although it's not very close to the beach, it's easy to get there in a straight line. There are many local restaurants nearby.

I had a wonderful overall experience at Oriental Villa ( minibar is free). The highlight of the stay was definitely the cottage's proximity to a massive lake, which offers a truly magnificent view. A great perk for in-house guests is the free kayak rental. Each villa has its own reserved parking. It was incredible to lie by the pool at night and watch the stars. The breakfast sent to villa.
One thing to note: the property is very integrated with nature. If you have a phobia of lizards or cats, this might not be the best fit for you. However, if you're just visiting for the day, you can still enjoy the lake; kayaking is available for outside guests at a reasonable rate of 120 baht per hour.

Dijiutianchang-The room was nice. There's a breakfast place right near the hotel and a 7-Eleven next door. However, there isn't much to explore in the immediate vicinity; you'll need to take a taxi to get to any interesting spots.

Overall, it was okay, but the room didn't have bedside outlets. The hotel provided an extension cord, but personally, I felt the cord was too old and unsafe to use, so I didn't. Another thing was the mirror; it wouldn't close, maybe it was broken or I just didn't have the strength. When taking the elevator down, it got stuck for a moment before working again. I was really scared then, and it was my first time experiencing something like that, haha! The staff provided good service, and there was always a security guard present.
