"I booked a deluxe room and the hotel upgraded me to a deluxe garden villa. The room was pretty clean, and the front desk staff at check-in were very welcoming. However, the hotel's room service was quite subpar. The room cleaning staff took the tip but didn't replace my toothbrush or pool towel. I had to call three times before they finally brought them over... The service staff at the poolside restaurant were good, but the breakfast staff were just so-so.
It's worth noting that you need to place a card on the bed for the cleaning staff to change the sheets; otherwise, they won't. We only found out about this card when we checked out 😂.
The breakfast was okay, just average. Eating by the pool with a sea view was lovely, but since it's an outdoor setting, there were a lot of flies around the food. Despite that, I ate there for three days and didn't get sick, so I guess the hygiene is acceptable.
The beach near the hotel is beautiful in the morning; the water is very clear, possibly due to the morning high tide. However, in the afternoon, with direct sunlight, the water isn't as blue, and the waves get bigger with more silt and sand. So, I recommend swimming in the sea in the morning and using the hotel pool in the afternoon."

"The staff are courteous and helpful. As soon as I arrived, I noticed the mattress was sagging and uncomfortable, and they immediately offered to replace it with a new one. The location is excellent if you want to be close to shops, services, and the walking street. The hotel is a bit dated but has a beautiful sea view, though the beach isn't directly accessible from the hotel. The tide goes out, making it perfect for a lovely sunset stroll in the evening.
The sheets were clean, but the pillows less so; they had a very strong smell, and I had to put a towel over them to cover it.
We didn't use the pool because we rented a scooter and explored the island, which has beautiful, secluded beaches. However, we did notice that the pool area was very crowded (the sun loungers), but it was clean.
We understand that the price was in line with the quality of the property.
The breakfast is plentiful and varied. Overall, it's a great hotel if you want to save some money and be close to amenities."

"Really enjoyed this resort. One thing you need to know, for the standard rooms you need to go up by car every time when you want to go back to your room. Not a big issue as they are very fast, really was amazed, in 3-4 days never had to wait longer then 1-2min to go to my room up the hill.
Family loved the greenery, actually pretty OK snorkling in front of the hotel as well if you have trained eyes, lots to see!"

The hotel is perfectly located in Long Beach and makes an excellent base for a relaxing stay in Krabi, away from the crowds. Although the property is quite large, it never feels overcrowded or overwhelming, even when it’s busy. It’s also within walking distance of many fantastic restaurants.
The staff is wonderful, and the lady at the tour desk deserves a special mention. She is incredibly efficient, helpful, and genuinely kind.
A few things to keep in mind:
• The WiFi connection is unreliable, so if you’re planning to work during your stay, make sure you have a good eSIM or mobile data backup.
• The rooms feel a bit outdated, which is especially noticeable in details like worn towels.
• The toiletries provided are of low quality, so you may want to bring your own.

"Just got back from an incredible stay at Long Beach Chalet in Koh Lanta, and honestly, I’d totally recommend it! The location is perfect — right on the beach with stunning views and epic sunsets that made every evening special. The staff was super friendly and helpful, making us feel really welcomed. Room cleaning was always spot on and right on time, which was much appreciated.
We had a blast even in the low season — there’s always something happening, like different shows every night, which kept things fun. The spa was a standout — so professional, super clean, and the massages on the beach were just wow. They also offer yoga classes if you're into that vibe.
Their coffeeshop is a hidden gem — great coffee, tasty sandwiches, and an impressive selection of cheesecakes. And the breakfast options…. Delicious and plentiful, perfect way to start the day.

The staffs were amazing, kind and at times go above to care for their guests. They provide free shuttle to/ from the airport in very comfortable and luxurious minivans, which saves you alot of money and hassle. They can even assist in arranging transportation to other parts of Krabi, this would come with a fee.
If you have any dietary/ meal preference, their chefs will cater to your needs. Requests outside of breakfast will come at a fee. The grilled seafood here is fresh and super tasty.
Frank, their GM, would greet you as you check in, during breakfast and even check out. You just don't get this kind of attention and care anymore.

"If you like mountain this resort is perfect hide away, there was a small beach but there were many rocks underneath. I wouldn’t call it 5 stars maybe I have stayed in 5 stars luxury resort likes Rayana Resort and Spa . I trusted Avani + brand because I stayed in Avani+ Bangkok before that’s why I chose this. The Resort itself was great for hidden away from the crowds however it felt lack of character and didn’t feel touch or wow when I walked in . The staff looked cold and uncomfortable. I didn’t get my room done until evening I guess when low season they didn’t have enough staffs. I didn’t mind but I felt weird when the housekeeper asked me if I wanted my bed done .
If I ever go back to Koh Lanta I wouldn’t stay here again it is not quite relaxing much.
TV is not smart TV and even cable channels were terrible 😂
Breakfast was just okay and little boring after second night.

"We were forced to spend six nights at this hotel because another booking fell through at the last minute.
What we can say right now is that we would never want to spend another night there.
We've been coming to Koh Lanta for several years and have tried various hotels, but this one definitely ranks last in our personal list.
The existing, and mostly positive, reviews are incomprehensible to us.
We paid just over €100 per night, which we consider completely unacceptable value for money.
At €40-50 per night, it still wouldn't be pleasant, but the circumstances would be more tolerable.
Let's start with the positives:
The staff were very friendly and helpful,
making the best of what they had.
... Negative:
-Disastrous mattress with protruding edges and noticeable springiness across the surface.
(A topper was provided upon request, but it didn't improve the situation.)
If one person turns over, the other is completely affected by the movement and moves along with them.
Bathroom very dark and worn.
Stinking drains throughout the entire stay.
Wide-smelling sink.
Insufficient water pressure in the shower and at the tap on several occasions.
Refrigerator annoyingly loud, sounding more like a small compressor.
Window/balcony door doesn't close properly, making it very noisy, especially at night.
Sleeping without earplugs was impossible.
Frequently unreliable Wi-Fi.
In summary:
Only the bare essentials at an unreasonable price-performance ratio, but clean, well-maintained, and with helpful staff."

"We had a wonderful time at the Alama Resort. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We loved the pool area the most; we spent several hours there every day, always found a spot, and the water was very clean. The food and drinks were also delicious. The location was great, with the beach just a few minutes' walk away, where we watched the sunset every evening. We would always recommend it and would love to come back!"

Andy Black12349A lovely small, family-run hotel that is spotlessly clean with very friendly and helpful staff.
The room was spacious and well-kept, with a kettle and complimentary tea/coffee replenished daily during housekeeping.
Its location is excellent, with restaurants and shops just outside the door and also only a 15-minute walk into Saladan.
The only minor downside for me was that the bed was a little firm, but overall it was a wonderful stay.

Upon arrival at Lanta Triple Novel, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. His hospitality truly made us feel at home, assisting us with everything we needed.
We stayed in the bungalows, which were spacious and well-equipped. There was a clothes drying rack inside and another on the porch—this was the first hotel where we had ample space to dry our clothes. The porch was furnished with plastic chairs and a table, perfect for relaxing outdoors. The bungalow featured a small kitchenette accessible from the porch through a side door, which is convenient if you're planning a longer stay.
Inside, there was a small plastic wardrobe for storing clothes and a mini-fridge. The only thing missing was a table and two chairs inside the room, which would have added to the comfort. The air conditioning was strong and kept the room cool. The location was very quiet, allowing us to rest peacefully. The only minor inconvenience was during heavy rain when the metal roof became quite loud.
We rented a scooter from the owner at a decent price, making it easy to explore the island. Although there's a restaurant as part of the hotel, we didn't have the time to dine there. Originally, we planned to stay for three days but ended up extending our stay to four because we enjoyed it so much.
The location is perfect—it's close to the beach, and there's a 7-Eleven just around the corner where you can get everything you need for your stay. It's a 4-minute drive to Saladan Pier, so you'll have an easy time catching ferries or speedboats for further travel.
Overall, our experience at Lanta Triple Novel was excellent. The friendly owner, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made our stay memorable.

It's in a great location, nearby to high quality local restaurants, a large shop with food, drink, toiletries but still tucked away in its own little world. There are several communal seating areas with communal board games (Azul, cards) and books to use during your stay.
The bed was big and comfortable, there was lots of space with two seating areas with tables, one inside our room and one outside. We were only provided with a sheet to sleep, rather than a quilt/duvet which was fine for us but some people might not like that. A choice would have been nice
I love the ”eco” feel - toiletries provided are great quality and environmentally friendly, instead of daily plastic single use bottles for water, a glass bottle with a water dispenser at reception is provided.
Breakfast is generously portioned and freshly cooked. Some more options for vegans would be nice (my partner just had toast and jam everyday) such as tofu scramble, peanut butter or non-dairy yoghurt. The coffee served at breakfast is delicious, unlike most hotels you can pick from cappuccino, latte etc that's made fresh with a proper coffee machine. That was a really nice touch that we enjoyed.
The bathroom was nicely decorated and was modern.
My only suggestions for improvements would be there are a lot of lights which made it hard to sleep without an eye mask (the sockets emit lights and we couldn't turn the Aircon display off), and the bathroom has a window with no blind/curtain so the bathroom door needed to be closed. Also there are small gaps around the front door meaning we often had small visitors to our room (geckos, millipedes etc). But overall this didn't affect our stay and are very easy fixes. Also a dimmer switch on the very bright bedside lamp would be nice.

There are many good things about this hotel:
- located close to the Saladan Pier where the boats dock, and just next door to the night market that offers food and shopping
- welcoming and helpful staff (the hotel has no elevator, but the receptionist offered himself to carry my bag to the second floor
- free use of washing machine on the rooftop, all you need is buy a detergent in the supermarket nearby (5 baht)
- small kitchen if you would wish to prepare some food of your own
- vivid lobby brightened up by graffiti, with free water and a small library
- rooftop terrace with a hammock, with sadly not spectacular view (the roof of the market is quite unappealing - some graffiti artist should cover that too ;))
What could be improved?
- big bed is actually two twin beds connected together. Also, they are wrapped in that plastic which you can feel under the sheets :(
- I felt the cleanliness of the room could be on a higher level, especially floors and bathroom
- no handsoap in the bathroom (I used the shower gel, but even that one was fixed for the wall, so it doesnt get stolen, I guess?)
- just two big towels per room (no small towels, or a floor towel)
- even when at maximum, water temperature never gets hot or truly warm
- the hotel looks a bit run down, and could use some facelifting. There are holes in the floor of the common area, the bathroom seems unfinished, with exposed walls and some ventilation openings plugged with - plastic bags?
- i think key deposit of 500 baht is such an unneeded nuisance in these modern times - cant they just charge you if you lose it?

Wonderful find. I spent hours trying to find rhe right place and I did. Rim Khao is a lovely little group of bungalows that back into the forest, but are conveniently on the main road and just a 10 minute walk from the beach. This is a brilliant place for a really good price. I spent hours watching the monkeys, ants, lizards, frogs, birds and butterflies that were very present. As I had no transport and only a walking budget, was limited where I went. But there was enough. The beach is beautiful for swimming and sunbathing. There is little shade, but if you walk to the end of the beach, theres a lot more shade there. If tou are happy to scramble the rocks, there is plenty of wildlife there too....fish, a billion crabs and brazen seabirds.there are plenty of restaurants, both local and tourist all just a stones throw away and the walking street is as good as any.
The room was very quiet with air con and a fan that were efficient. The hot water was plentiful in the shower and cleaners were operating every day.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and English was really strong which of course is always appreciated , but never expected. The pool is more of a plunge pool, but thats all i personally ever need. You may consider it needs a bit of tlc, but it didnt bother me. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the road could barely be heard.just remember that the call to prayer can be heard almost everywhere. Oh, and a 7/eleven right next door. Amazing, and i hope to go back.

Everything was perfect, great value for money and one of the best hotels on our Thailand trip. The view of the sea is simply indescribably beautiful.
We had a villa with a direct sea view. I would book it again anytime. The children loved the sea and the pool.

DsonTSri Lanta is a haven to escape the crowds, while having enough services around to keep you occupied in this corner of the beach. The rooms are classy and clean, save for a dirty kettle, with daily room service.
There's direct access to the beach via a convenient tunnel, which opens up to their pool, restaurant, bar and beach chairs. The bar owner is very friendly and his prices are reasonable to keep you happy for your stay.
Shout out to Lisa, the concierge that made our stay a bit more personal and lovely each day

We stayed here in what was the peak season…many resorts and hotels were sold out in Ko Lanta. The staff are all friendly and genuinely will help and be kind if you are respectful and kind too.
The location is perfect. Right in front of the beach and close to cafes, restaurants and local eateries as well as 7/11.
The hotel itself has so much potential but it is looking very tired and run down. We stayed in a room that should have had a pool view but all we saw was trees. The room did smell a bit musty at first but this soon disappeared with the smell of sunscreen, and personal fragrances. Previous reviews people wrote about the old, musty towels. This is true. They smell musty, old and are tired looking (bring your own if you can).
The beach loungers in front of the pool were perfect each day but it’s a real hit and miss game of who can “bags” a lounger first. Many tourist staying at the hotel would place their towels on the loungers first thing in the morning and wouldn’t even be seen on the loungers until after lunch. In my opinion, the hotel staff need to change this and man it in a different way during peak season. Too many entitled people thinking they own the sun loungers because their shoes were placed next to them 🙄🙄
Overall, if you’re looking for somewhere to rest your head at night, with hot showers, friendly staff, okay breakfast options and mostly clean premises this resort is good. If your more of a person who prefers to spend time inside their resort and looks forward to all the extra amenities then I suggest you try somewhere else 😬

We traveled as a family with young children and stayed at Chomview Koh Lanta. The room was spacious and big enough to comfortably accommodate four people, which was very convenient for our family.
However, there were several issues during our stay. The walkway to the room had no lighting at night, which felt unsafe, especially when traveling with children. We also experienced water shortages, and the room had an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet.
The location is quite far from the main road, so transportation is necessary to get around. This may not be convenient for families without their own vehicle.
On a positive note, the staff hospitality was good and they were friendly and helpful.
Overall, the hotel has good room size and kind staff, but improvements are needed in maintenance, lighting, and water supply.
