This place is a gem - convenient location in a safe/quiet neighborhood close to the city centre, clean and spacious room with kitchen and cooking utensils, free and secured parking, helpful and friendly owner, affordable rates. The place has no reception counter. To check-in, the guest has to arrange with the owner via phone or email prior to arrival. As I was on a long flight and I had no phone/data roaming in Namibia, I didn't see the owner's email and I was stuck outside the place without a way to get in. Luckily I drove to a nearby hotel and borrowed the phone to call the owner, and the owner (who actually lives elsewhere) came to open the door for me within 10-15 minutes. Next time if I come here again, I should contact the owner 1 day before arrival, so that the owner knows my arrival time and sends me the check-in instructions in time.

Breakfast is very good, a wide variety, most like hot milk and cereals, the hotel's environment is superb, the location is next to a golf course, the environment is very good, the hotel has ATM machines can directly use the credit card to pick up the local currency, but there is a fee This is also more cost-effective than changing the US dollar at the counter. A cash withdrawal fee is about 3 knives, but you can basically buy the card and use less cash. There is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel, it tastes good.

Standard facility. Great location. Near to the international airport road. Breakfast was disappointing. Not advisable to include breakfast when booking. Otherwise, all other facilities were okay.

The location of the hotel is very good, only a few minutes away from the shopping center. Excellent service, first-class restaurant, delicious food. The size is good and the room is clean. The biggest black spot is the brightness of the room all night, this is because the outside light of the hotel enters through the windows, there are no blinds. So there are lights...

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Uhland during my visit to Windhoek. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, a refrigerator, and reliable Wi-Fi. Although the furnishings are somewhat traditional, everything was well maintained and functional. The bed was comfortable, and I had a good night’s sleep every night. One of the highlights of my stay was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with transportation, local recommendations, or any questions I had. Their hospitality made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Breakfast was another enjoyable part of the experience. The buffet offered a good selection of fresh fruit, bread, eggs, local specialties, and coffee, providing a satisfying start to each day. I also appreciated the hotel’s beautiful garden and outdoor swimming pool, which created a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, Hotel Uhland offers excellent value for money. It may not be a luxury hotel, but its cleanliness, friendly service, convenient location, and comfortable facilities make it an ideal choice for travelers visiting Windhoek. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and affordable place to stay in Namibia.
