"After seeing so many negative reviews, I was a bit hesitant about booking Lakeside Pavilion, but my actual experience was surprisingly good. First, the service was warm and proactive; I didn't encounter any of the alleged discrimination against Chinese guests. Second, the rooftop onsen was excellent, and the room had a great view. Even though there was a bed, we asked for three futons to be laid out, which was very comfortable. As for outdated facilities, you barely use the in-room bathing facilities at an onsen hotel anyway. While dinner and breakfast weren't exceptionally refined, there was a wide variety of options, so you're sure to find something delicious. I'm very satisfied with my choice this time."

The dining options were equally impressive—both the buffet breakfast and dinner offered a fantastic selection of delicious, high-quality dishes, making the culinary experience the stand-out feature of our stay. However, the room facilities and housekeeping details fell far short of expectations. The room amenities felt quite basic and lacked proper pre-arrival checks. For a hotel with hot spring facilities, it was surprising that no basket was provided to carry items to the bath, and there was a clear shortage of towels in the room. Considering the high price tag, the overall experience did not feel proportional to what we paid. While the location and food were outstanding, the hotel needs to improve its room standard and service details to truly justify its rates."

At night we could see fireworks from the room, zero crowds needed. Felt so special. *Highlights:* 1. *Private onsen option*: Booked a private family onsen and it was worth every yen. Clean, spacious, and relaxing with lake views. No rushing with others. 2. *Fireworks*: Room faced the lake so we watched the nightly summer fireworks from bed. Hotel staff even told us the timing. 10/10 experience. 3. *Room*: Spacious Japanese-Western room, tatami + bed. Clean and well-maintained. 4. *Location*: Right by the lake + short walk to shops. Buffet dinner had local Hokkaido food too."

At night, as soft lights illuminate the room, lying on the plush bed, the world feels wonderfully peaceful and tender. Waking up in the morning, brewing a cup of coffee and enjoying it with the lake view outside – a simple yet profoundly blissful moment unfolds. I particularly remember a young female staff member with glasses who, with her fluent English and attentive, thorough explanations, made me feel incredibly comfortable and respected. Encountering such dedicated individuals during a trip is undoubtedly a rare stroke of luck. And the hotel's facilities are full of surprises! Outside the large public bath, complimentary drinks are available, along with table tennis and arcade games, adding a playful touch to your relaxation. The lobby features Japanese snacks and board games, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere; the relaxation area on the second floor is even more serene and comfortable – once you sit down, you won't want to leave. The dining experience here is simply sublime. Various alcoholic beverages are kept in ice buckets, freely awaiting wine enthusiasts! Dinner is exquisite and innovative; each dish is a stunning work of art, so delicious that it makes you want to return just for the food. Breakfast is delicate and abundant, awakening your taste buds and setting a wonderful tone for the day. The shiso soda thoughtfully provided in the in-room mini-fridge is incredibly refreshing after a hot spring soak, leaving a lasting, pleasant aftertaste. The toiletries have a delicate fragrance, leaving the skin soft and comfortable after use – even these small details are not overlooked. The overall service is friendly and sincere, without being overly familiar, yet maintaining just the right amount of professionalism. It truly feels like a 'just right' luxury experience! The hotel's surroundings are quiet and pristine, and transportation to and from the lakeside is convenient. Whether taking a taxi or using the hotel's shuttle service to JR Toya Station, it's effortless. It feels like Hotel Premium Lake Toya is not just a hotel, but a cherished memory of a journey. Here, the scenery is more than just scenery, and the service is more than just service – it's a reason to return to square one and rediscover the beauty of life."

"A dated place. Old fashioned tap mixer and door set. Toilet very small and the door cannot even open fully. Worst, there's still a step to it. Have to be very careful, specially with the wet floor after the shower. They claimed it's a mountain view, it's just trees actually - cannot even see far! Bed was uncomfortable with only a small pillow. The floor at the men onsen is very disgusting! It's a far cry from the photos here. Don't recommend at all!"

"The views from this beachfront villa are truly unbeatable. The balcony offers a breathtaking panoramic sea view, and watching the sunrise in the morning was incredibly stunning. If you're driving, you can park right in front of the villa. However, we stayed on the first floor and had to carry our luggage upstairs ourselves. The interior space is incredibly spacious, with a fully equipped living room, dining room, and kitchen. Listening to the sound of the waves from the balcony at night really completed the whole vacation experience. Compared to hotels in the city center, this place offers a completely different kind of enjoyment, perfect for travelers looking to escape the hustle and bustle and relax at a slower pace. If you're planning a road trip to Hokkaido, I genuinely recommend staying here for a night or two."

"Stayed at the Deluxe Villa in WE Hotel Toya Dusit Collection and it was honestly one of the nicest stays during our Hokkaido trip. The villa was extremely spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a very modern Japanese style. What surprised us most was how big the villa actually was — it came with 3 bedrooms, 3 toilets, a large living room, dining area, laundry room, and even 2 floors. It truly felt more like staying in a luxury private house rather than a hotel. The atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a getaway near Lake Toya. We especially loved the warm wood interior, tatami-style seating area, huge windows, and cozy living space. The bedrooms were comfortable and the entire villa was very well maintained."

"The hotel surroundings are lovely, perfect for simply relaxing. The front desk staff were very helpful, providing detailed explanations as the hotel is divided into the East, Main, and West wings. We booked the ”one night, two meals” plan and were satisfied with dinner. However, the breakfast didn't quite live up to the price point of over two thousand. Also, it was unexpected that bath towels weren't provided in the onsen area, even though they were in the room. I haven't encountered this at other onsen hotels in Japan."

"Conveniently located with clean and tidy rooms. The welcome bar in the lobby is great, offering drinks and some desserts. The hot spring is decent, but it seems to be segregated by gender with different time slots for evenings and early mornings. There are two shuttle buses to Toya Station every morning, which need to be booked by scanning a QR code at the hotel. Breakfast is also pretty good."

"Though small, it has everything you need. As a solo traveler, finding accommodation in Lake Toya is a big challenge, let alone one with such an excellent location. It's truly impeccable ❤️. I enjoyed the fireworks over the lake and strolled under the cherry blossom trees."
