"Enjoyed every moment in the hotel ,well recommended ,good value for off season. Food buffet spread was delicious n sumptuous.. Loved the onsen ,comfort wise good ,view was awesome.. thou it's was drizzling upon arrival but was able to go to ground n view the fireworks, surprised it was good lights up of 20 mins. Overall ,hotel staff was friendly n welcome."

"This hotel is a hidden gem where I stayed for three nights. It has four floors, with the entrance and front desk located on the second floor, accessible by an elevator. On the first floor, there are separate male and female onsens (hot springs), each with three indoor baths and one open-air bath. The changing rooms are equipped with washing machines and dryers (laundry costs a very affordable 100 yen per wash, and you can buy a laundry pod at the front desk for 100 yen). The hotel offers a set breakfast (included with the stay) and dinner (can be added on arrival for 3300 yen per person), both served individually rather than buffet-style. Breakfast times are 7:00, 7:30, or 8:00 AM, while dinner is at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, or 7:30 PM. There's a friendly Chinese-speaking staff member from Beijing at the front desk. The guest rooms are Japanese-style tatami rooms, offering views of Lake Toya and a popular photo spot. Each room includes a safe, kettle, cold drinking water, sterilized cups, a writing desk, a table lamp, a massage device, and lotion, among other amenities. The hotel also features a coffee bar and a souvenir shop near the front desk. Each room has a toilet and a sink, but no shower. The only downsides are that the entrance door to the room and the bathroom door are quite low, probably around 1.8 meters, and there's no drying room for ski gear (though with permission, you can place your ski equipment on the floor in the front desk area). The air conditioning has three powerful settings, so it never felt cold. The windows are double-paned."

Outside the large public bath, complimentary drinks are available, along with table tennis and arcade games, adding a playful touch to your relaxation. The lobby features Japanese snacks and board games, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere; the relaxation area on the second floor is even more serene and comfortable – once you sit down, you won't want to leave. The dining experience here is simply sublime. Various alcoholic beverages are kept in ice buckets, freely awaiting wine enthusiasts! Dinner is exquisite and innovative; each dish is a stunning work of art, so delicious that it makes you want to return just for the food. Breakfast is delicate and abundant, awakening your taste buds and setting a wonderful tone for the day. The shiso soda thoughtfully provided in the in-room mini-fridge is incredibly refreshing after a hot spring soak, leaving a lasting, pleasant aftertaste. The toiletries have a delicate fragrance, leaving the skin soft and comfortable after use – even these small details are not overlooked. The overall service is friendly and sincere, without being overly familiar, yet maintaining just the right amount of professionalism. It truly feels like a 'just right' luxury experience! The hotel's surroundings are quiet and pristine, and transportation to and from the lakeside is convenient. Whether taking a taxi or using the hotel's shuttle service to JR Toya Station, it's effortless. It feels like Hotel Premium Lake Toya is not just a hotel, but a cherished memory of a journey. "My overall experience at Toyako畔亭 (Toyako Hanatei) was quite good. The hotel is right by Lake Toya, and the views are truly stunning. When I arrived yesterday, the weather was clear, and I could see Mount Yotei clearly in the distance – it was a magnificent sight. This morning, it snowed, and the lake with the falling snowflakes created a very picturesque scene. It was a completely different vibe, and both views were incredibly impressive. The onsen area was clean and comfortable, and soaking in the lake-view hot spring was especially relaxing. Dinner was excellent; the steak was delicious, tender, and juicy – definitely the highlight of the meal. Breakfast had a minor drawback: the serving time from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM felt a bit short. It can get rushed when there are a lot of people. Also, there was no seafood donburi, which would have made the selection richer. However, the overall taste was still good. Overall, it offered good value for money, and the minor issues didn't detract from the overall experience. If I visit Lake Toya again, I would definitely consider staying here."

"The hotel seems a bit old, with traces of time on the corridors and elevators, but it's very clean and comfortable. The Japanese tatami room feels super spacious because there's no bed. The window directly overlooks Lake Toya, offering an unbeatable view. Who wouldn't love the feeling of opening the window to take in the entire lake and Mount Yotei? Oh, and the hotel's food is excellent too; I just loved the exquisite Japanese cuisine!"

"What a fantastic stay! I initially chose this place because I wanted to experience Lake Toya's beauty on a budget, and I was genuinely impressed. While its location isn't as central as some of the more popular hotels, Lake Toya itself is huge, offering unique views from every angle. The traditional Japanese-style tatami room was incredibly spacious – a rare comfortable stay during my Hokkaido trip. The owner was also very kind. I had booked a dinner and breakfast plan for two people, but when they realized I was alone, they doubled down on my dinner portion! The variety was great, and the food was delicious – I ate until I was completely satisfied. Plus, since it's not one of the super popular hotels, it wasn't too crowded. I practically had the hot springs (including the outdoor one!) all to myself in the evening. After my soak, I bought a couple of beers, and enjoying them while watching the snowy scenery brought such a sense of peace. I even went for another dip before checking out in the morning, feeling completely refreshed as I concluded my Lake Toya trip."

"This hotel is very good place, we can take a good view in the morning. The room is very spacious including bathrooms too, but I just have a little bit commend for the bed if possible to change the bed to more comfortable I will appreciate it. Front service is good, they text to remind the time to check-in. This hotel has not elevator but it had only two floors."

"The room was spacious and didn't feel cramped at all. Having a private onsen right outside the door with lake views was amazing. The public bath was particularly great; all the toiletries were Pola, and it was very clean. The hotel wasn't crowded, so it was very quiet. The only downside was the dinner from the two-meals-per-night plan. It was really greasy and not very tasty. You could tell the chef put a lot of effort into trying to make common ingredients delicious, but there were far too many dairy flavors, which made it quite sickly. The staff were all very friendly and polite, helping with sending our ski gear and carrying luggage. Definitely a good choice for a vacation."

"The facilities are a little aged, but that is to be expected in a small town further away from the main city. The room was well heated during winter, and the room itself was clean. The toilet however, had a terrible stench. It was reflected to the staff but there was nothing they could do about it. On the bright side, the stench went away after turning on the ventilator for about 10 minutes. The location is perfect for walking over to the lake and to convenience stores nearby, and the onsen was very good."
