"Highly recommend this hotel! It's the closest hotel to Shinano-Omachi for catching the bus to Ogisawa bus station, literally just across the road. We only had 20 minutes between transfers but were still able to drop off our luggage at the hotel. After seeing the Snow Wall, we enjoyed a relaxing soak in the on-site bathhouse. Picture one shows the room view from the window. Picture two highlights the large supermarket Delicia, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, and Daiso all attached to the hotel."

"The main purpose is to take the bus to Ogizawa from Shinano Omachi Station for 540 yen. It is just opposite the bus stop. The next morning, take the bus to Ogizawa, which is about 25 minutes and a little closer. The courtyard environment is nice, the interior furnishings are also very Japanese and pay attention to details. The dinner and breakfast are quite rich. The guest's luggage was delivered, and the staff wiped the wheels very carefully. The service is good."

"Good onsen! Location near to Origawa station to Kurobe Dam which is suitable for us as it’s a 15mins drive by car! To town it’s about 15mins drive! Clean and staffs services was excellent! Price reasonable depending on the season! 👍"

"It was raining on the day we arrived, but it wasn't cold and we were able to sleep peacefully in our private room. It would be nice if the shower had a little more hot water, but it was okay. I think it's a good place to stay before climbing a mountain. The staff were kind and explained things to us carefully, which made me feel at ease. Shinano Omachi was a town I had been following on Instagram and wanted to visit."

"I’ve stayed at many ryokans throughout my travels—often making up half of each trip—but this one felt a bit different. It seemed to be run by just one person, who I assume is the owner. Everything was self-service, which might be understandable considering it was the most affordable option among the ryokans in the area. Most amenities required an extra fee, such as towels. Payment was made by dropping coins into a basket and making your own change, which wasn’t very convenient—especially since I didn’t carry much cash. One thing I appreciated was the luggage delivery service. I was able to leave my bag at the lobby before check-out and have it sent to Toyama Station (for about 4,000 JPY, cash only). What stood out was the creativity in the shared spaces. There were several common rooms designed for relaxing and spending time—perfect if you’re traveling with friends. You could play ping pong, read books, watch TV, or use the canteen, which had a microwave and dishes available. They even had coin-operated massage chairs and a small fitness room. However, I must mention two important downsides: 1. Limited nearby dining options – Many restaurants shown as open on Google Maps were actually closed. The only one that was open had extremely slow service—I waited nearly an hour for dinner. 2. Insects—large ones – Unfortunately, I encountered big insects in my room, which made it hard to sleep. (He even provided insect-catch tape for me while introduce the room) I stayed awake most of the night, worrying it might come back—especially stressful since I had to get up early the next morning to catch a bus to Ogizawa. Minds you, stairs only, need to carry your luggage down by yourself. Overall, while it offers good value for the area and has unique communal features, this ryokan may not suit travelers who prefer full service, cashless payment, or guaranteed comfort."

"The location is on the top of the mountain, not very convenient But it's okay for self-driving tours It takes 4.5 hours to drive from Narita Airport to the hotel Check in was already past 12 am The hotel staff checked us in after work But it was snowing, and some mountain roads in the snow were not open and not fenced off We walked in by mistake because the closed mountain roads were not cleared of snow The car got stuck in the snow Luckily it was not far from the hotel The hotel staff quickly helped us tow the car The hotel service was very good, very satisfied There was a cooking stove and tableware in the room Very convenient. The snow outside the hotel is so beautiful that I don’t want to leave"

"This is a truly excellent ryokan in the Omachi Onsen area, with a bus and airport shuttle bus stop right around the corner. (Buses from Shin-Omachi Station or Ogizawa may not be available after 7 PM.) It features two types of baths: a stone bath and a wooden bath, each with indoor and outdoor areas and a sauna. Enjoy two different onsen experiences upon check-in and before check-out. The breakfast is incredibly generous. Due to the large number of group guests, the menu is generous and filling, offering a traditional Japanese breakfast, Western-style hot dishes, cheese and vegetable dishes, drinks, ice cream, and more. Highly recommended!"

"If you're coming for skiing, and prioritize value for money and comfort, this hotel is truly worth recommending. The staff are generally very warm and attentive, and they're very knowledgeable about ski-related details: helping with sending and receiving ski equipment and luggage. The entire check-in process was very reassuring and saved a lot of energy and time. Regarding meals: Breakfast is Japanese style, relatively simple but sufficient. However, dinner truly exceeded expectations: the dishes were varied and tasted excellent. If you stay for multiple days, there will be some repetition in the menu, but the overall quality is very high. For those who don't mind repetition, it's perfectly fine. For this price point, the value for money is really outstanding. Skiing convenience: The ski resort bus stop is right across the road from the hotel's back exit, very close. Even with a lot of ski gear, it's not tiring. After skiing, you can return to the hotel and immediately enjoy the hot springs, which is very comfortable. This significantly enhances the experience for those who ski consecutively. The hotel has hot springs, which are very refreshing after skiing. The rooms vary in age: Japanese-style rooms are relatively older, though some have been renovated. The rooms are very warm, making for a comfortable stay in winter. If you're coming to Hakuba/surrounding areas for skiing and want good value, delicious food, and hot springs, without prioritizing nightlife but focusing more on practicality and comfort, I highly recommend choosing this place."
