But the bathroom was tiny with very little space and felt out of place with the rest of the hotel. Bath was very narrow and small Overall: Very good location and modern hotel. Bathroom just stopped it from getting perfect score"

"The hotel is a 4-minute walk from the station. It's clean and quiet, and the lobby offers a great selection of high-quality toiletries. The bed was really comfortable, and the bath towels were soft and absorbent. The breakfast was especially delicious, with soba noodles, Niigata rice, and a variety of Japanese dishes. There's also a washing machine, dryer, and microwave on the first floor."

"The hotel was dated, using the physical key system for the room. Amenities were lacking compared to many other hotels. Room heating worked well but the water temperature was unstable. The room was dark even with all lights switched on."

"Nice hotel withe rooms of various sizes. For me it was spacious enough. Bed was comfortable, would have liked one more cushion. Room was clean an I liked that i could open the window. It was quite hot in the room because the heater was turned on. Even if i turned it off hot air came out. Room was clean and had everything i needed. You can also get things at the front desk. Breakfast was buffetstyle and really very good with a lot of choises, both Japanese, local and western. Location was very convenient near the train station. About max a 5 minutes walk. Near the hotel there are a lot of places to eat or have a drink. At the station is a shopping mall."

"Quite an old hotel, air conditioner is centrally controlled. Would be nice if the ventilation is better. Location is good, near Bandai City and Niigata station. The view from Bandai City facing the river is great."

"I often stay at Livemax when I travel to other regions. It's very close, about a 3-minute walk from Niigata Station after taking the direct limousine bus from the airport. The return bus stop for the airport, number 18, is also nearby, so it's easy to move around even with a suitcase. The front desk staff are very polite in their explanations. Since it was just one night, the room was spacious enough, most amenities were included, and the facilities had been newly replaced, so it was comfortable. Also, there is a microwave here, so it's great to be able to heat up the local food you take home! The elevators are crowded at check-out time, as mentioned in the reviews, but I checked out at 9:50 and it didn't affect me. I think it's fine as long as you check out a little outside of peak hours. If I have the chance to come to Niigata, I'll use it again."
