"Whenever I visit Japan, I tend to book a Daiwa Roynet Hotel. Over the past few years, I've traveled to many cities from south to north, and there's almost always a Daiwa Roynet. This particular one is a bit of a walk from Aomori Station, about 7-8 minutes, but it's conveniently located on the main street. We booked a Deluxe Double Room and stayed for 3 nights. The room size was perfect; there was plenty of space near the entrance to open up our large suitcases. It was a corner room, so we even had a window with a sea view. On our second night, we were lucky enough to catch the warm-up fireworks display for the Nebuta Festival right from our hotel room, which was an incredible experience. Another highlight was the massage chair in the room – that was a huge bonus for us! It was easily the most-used amenity during our 4-day stay. Highly recommend! We'll definitely book this hotel again on our next trip to Aomori."

"This is our second time staying at this hotel in two years. The location is excellent, right above the train station. The facilities are new, clean, and upscale. They also offer laundry service, which is a paid amenity. On the 6th floor, there's a hot spring, as well as private hot spring baths, and various beauty treatments. There's also a lounge where you can enjoy views of Aomori Bay and drink your fill of complimentary apple juice."

"The hotel is about 600 meters from Aomori Station. It's a bit inconvenient if you're dragging luggage, but it's very close to the product館 (local specialty center). The room rate isn't expensive, though the bathroom facilities are a bit old, and the hot and cold water taps on the sink are separate. The breakfast is decent, but I feel it's not as extensive as it was a year ago. The worst part was the electric kettle in the room. It didn't automatically turn off when the water boiled, so it boiled all my mineral water dry, which was a waste."

"The room was spacious enough. It's a bit far from the JR station, about 150 by taxi. There are also buses, so if it's not snowing, taking the bus is an option. There are plenty of local eateries within a 10-minute walk. I recommend Tengu Yakiniku; their food is excellent."

Hotel breakfast is delicious and many choices. We also appreciated the practical amenities provided. The laundry machines are free to use, with a 30-minute wash cycle. The dryer costs only 100 yen for 20 minutes, which is very convenient for longer stays. The room also features a large, modern TV, and the hair dryer provided is a premium Refa brand, which was a nice touch. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay with great onsen facilities and thoughtful amenities. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Aomori."

"Excellent location, only 1 minute from the bus station. Staff was very helpful by checking in and out, but the English language was not the best. Amenities were missing, but after asking they provided some extras. Big minus, from two sets of washing and drying machines, only one set was working and that was a really big issue. So, for one night is ok."

"We stayed for 5 nights and were very satisfied with the value for money. We experienced the family bath and hot springs, and booked two rooms that included breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed delicious Japanese food every day. The problem arose on the last day during breakfast. About 10 minutes before the 9 AM closing time, my mother, trying to be considerate of the restaurant staff, poured her remaining coffee into a paper cup, intending for our family of four to clear our dishes and leave. At that moment, an old man, leaning with both hands on the kitchen counter, loudly shouted something unintelligible at us. Our entire family was startled, confused, and didn't understand what he was saying. As foreigners who don't speak Japanese, we couldn't comprehend him. After hearing him repeatedly shout loudly, we guessed we should pour the coffee back into the cup and left. Other guests were present, and this experience was the worst, ruining our family's impression of Japan. Shortly after, we tried to ask the old man about it, but he pretended not to understand English and avoided conversation, retreating into the kitchen. If there's a communication barrier, they should use a friendly translation app or clearly guide guests with actions instead of a kitchen staff member standing like a king with arms outstretched, shouting. Also, it was uncomfortable to have restaurant staff constantly watching how many plates people took, probably because individual dishes were served one by one. It's been a while since our trip ended, but that incident still pops into my mind. My family also talks about it. I hope they don't ruin tourists' enjoyable trips with rigid and inappropriate behavior. We felt disrespected as foreigners. I briefly explained this to the front desk using a translator, and a female staff member repeatedly offered polite apologies. Due to our departure schedule, we couldn't speak with the old man again or receive an apology, which is probably why we won't be returning to Japan."

"I stayed here to see the Hirosaki cherry blossoms. It's incredibly convenient, only a 5-minute walk to Aomori Station. The hotel has a charming Showa-era vibe, and the breakfast was unexpectedly delicious. Excellent value for money!"
