"During my stay, I found the hotel's location to be very convenient, as it is close to malls, markets, and many dining options. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. The bathroom had an unpleasant odor, the room cleanliness could be improved, and surprisingly, there was no iron available for guests. This is the first time I have experienced something like this at a hotel."

"We stayed at Grand Mercure Malang Mirama for our honeymoon for 3 nights and 4 days, and honestly, it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. My wife absolutely loved everything about this hotel, and so did I. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. We were welcomed by Wike from the front office, and she truly made our stay extra special. She was always smiling, respectful, kind, and very helpful throughout our stay. She even offered us free activities and vouchers, which was such a nice touch. The biggest surprise was that we got upgraded to the Executive Suite, the highest room category in the hotel. Huge thanks to Wike for making our honeymoon unforgettable! The room itself was unbelievable. Beautiful views, a huge living room, separate bedroom, and an amazing bathroom with a bathtub overlooking the view. Everything felt luxurious and very comfortable. Since it was our honeymoon, the room was also beautifully decorated and we were welcomed with a fruit basket, which made us feel really special. Breakfast was another highlight. The variety was insane so many options that we honestly didn’t know what to choose. Everything we tried was delicious. One thing that really stood out was the staff. I’ve traveled quite a lot, but the service here felt different. Every single staff member we met smiled, greeted us warmly, checked if everything was okay, and helped immediately whenever needed. You can really feel the genuine hospitality here. We also received a complimentary photoshoot from the hotel, which was such a lovely experience. The photographer was great, and we even got a printed photo in a frame to take home as a memory. The only disappointing part during our stay was the Teppanyaki experience at the Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations at all. The chef only cooked in front of us without any interaction or entertainment, and when I tried making conversation, she seemed annoyed. Considering how expensive it was, it honestly felt very underwhelming. I personally wouldn’t recommend the Teppanyaki experience there. Other than that, everything was truly amazing. Even though I don’t remember everyone’s names, thank you to every single staff member who made our honeymoon so memorable. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back again. "We checked in late and were given rooms 7003 and 7005. Neither room was particularly satisfactory, even though we were just stopping over to continue our journey the next day. The AC in room 7003 wasn’t working, and the door in room 7005 kept creaking. The breakfast selection was fairly varied, and there were a few items that were tasty and suited our tastes."

"The environment here is great, perfect for families with kids looking for a relaxing vacation. We stayed for two days and were extremely satisfied. The room was comfortable, a lake-view room where we could feed the goldfish right from our window. We also enjoyed cycling around the resort with the kids. In the evenings, there were vendors passing by our room selling delicious snacks, which the kids absolutely loved. We all thought it was a fantastic trip!"

"Our family stay was very comfortable. The facilities were complete, from complimentary items to toiletries. The food menu was delicious with many Indonesian and Asian variations, and the desserts and cakes were extensive and tasty. There's also a fishing pond, perfect for a relaxing family activity."

"The location of the house is very good. Walking distance to top attraction in Malang. But the cleanliness of the room could be improved. We found some stains in pillow covers and bed sheets. The weirdest thing about the hotel is their NO SMOKING policy. We really don’t understand why they put no smoking sign but they also provide ashtray on every table in front of every room. They should not allow smoking everywhere if they have a no smoking sign in front of the reception."

"Service can be improved especially for the restaurant staff. Was there for more than 3 nights, every time during breakfast the chef didn’t even look at my face or replied to me when I’m ordering something from the live station menu (I’m local btw), but once there’s a foreigner speaking to him in English suddenly he’s the friendliest guy in the room. Room is spacious and clean, newly renovated room."

"The hotel itself is in the city centre and within a mall which is convenient but it can get very crowded (and jammed) on weekends. The staff are polite and understanding. We had to pay 100k IDR deposit for our rooms but since we were carrying sleeping kids, they let us check into the rooms first. Room is clean but old and basic. The room does not have safe deposit box, unmovable shower head. Basic amenities are dental kit, sanitary bag, shower cap, and lotion. Shampoo and shower gel are 2-in-1 and stuck on the wall. There’s only bath towel (no hand towel). Sound-proofing can be improved since the corridor is not carpeted. Breakfast is free for kids 5 and below. Taste-wise it’s ok. Apart from egg station, salad, waffles and bakery section, the rest are very much Indonesian style."
