"Overall the stay here was lovely. It’s a lovely resort with two pools, restaurants, activities and on the beach front. It’s the kind of place you come to stay in the resort. The location isn’t great as there’s only two or three local restaurants within walking distance and if not you have to eat in a hotel. Everything was well maintained. When we were there there was very heavy rainfall in the evening and the roof to the room did leak. Not anywhere that bothered us but would need to be fixed. Also the cleaner came and left our door open - hopefully just a one off occurrence."

"This is an old Balinese-style hotel with a bungalow system. The service is friendly, and the hotel atmosphere is quite comfortable and quiet. The location is in a quiet area of Senggigi. You have to rent a motorbike to get around. Breakfast is standard with not many choices. What I like is the fairly spacious room, bathroom with an old-fashioned bathtub. It's still comfortable and pleasant."

"* If I'd let everything pass smoothly in my review, I wouldn't let this resort pass the 5 stars claim because it's not 5 stars as they claim! The satff are the heroes there. Without them I'll give 1 star review to everything. It really sadness me not to leave 5 stars for this resorts. I have to be honest to all the people who follow my reviews here and other platforms. I visit 30 - 40 different locations around the world annually and review them honestly as a professional reviewer. - The start: We're couple, we arrive 2 hours eatly not to check in but to drop our 2 small bags there and come back later in the day to check in. The lady at the front told us they only have a room with 2 single beds! A very bad start, especially since I booked 1 queen bed for a couple (where'sthe common sense?). The lady later said the room will be available after 3pm (I said, I'm only here to leave my bags for a few hours and check in later). She gave a a room with 1 queen size bed. The room was absolutely atrocious. A big gap in the door, a few geckos left poo on the bed (as seen in the photos) and it's a very old room (level 2, siff stairs, not for anyone with back problem or any type of injuries) and you have to walk literally 7 minutes with rough ground that will break the wheels of your luggage. I went back to the front desk and explained the situation. They gave me another room (Bangalow). - The new room: The room was ok (definitely not 5 stars hotel/resort). The bangalow consists of two rooms adjacent to each other with a door in between can be unlocked from both sides for a family (can be one room and two rooms at the same time). I could here the neighbours conversation clearly including their toilet time! So, no privacy if it's your priority (luckily I had people next door only for one night). The bathroom/shower is outdated and needs renovation. No pressure in the shower and had fast drips instead of stream/spray. The toilet seat was hard stained glue or someone's shoes, and the outdoor shower is even worse with the moss growing on it (as all can be seen in the photos). Gym: No gym, no fitness room or any of that sort. They said they are planning to have one... then how did they get 5 stars ranking since they never had a gym on site? It's a requirement to have a gym to obtain 5 stars hotel ranking. Their 5 stars was received through a local body (we all know how things work here). Their 5 stars isn't your global 5 stars. - Breakfast/Dinner Breakfast is below average as in quality and presentation (not 5 stars). A 3 stars hotel must have 4 continental dishes. This resort/hotel had only 3. This would place it below even 3 stars. However, the staf there are absolutely amazing and super helpful. They are the best you can get anywhere. I pointed a few things to the breakfast manager and she handled everything like a champion. All staff are excellent except the reception (they are good but needs some training). - The hotel/resorts in general: Good, interesting, staff are amazing. I understand it's the first resort in the area, but it's outdated and aged badly. The walk from your room to lobby is 5 -12 minutes walk depending on where you are (I measured everything). The walk from your room to outside it took me 18 minutes (and I'm a fast walker and athlete). I don't mind the walk but try to walk in the rain and heat (it rains every day here). - The view: One of the best views you'll get around sunset. The resort has some breathtaking corners where you'd appreciate nature and culture. That itself deserves my credit. - Would I book here again? It's a tough one. Maybe I'll go eat there especially dinner but I don't think I'll sleep there. During my visit to Lombok so far I've tried 5 different resorts (real 4-5 stars) and for the price I've paid here isn't worth it. I hope this review helped you my fellow traveller, and i wish the hotel/resort get their things better to pay them another visit and give them a better rating."

"We had a lovely stay at Aruna Senggigi. The hotel staff were amazing, especially Rijal, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. All the staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We did have a small issue with cleanliness, but Rijal immediately made sure it was rectified, and the rest of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you to the team for the wonderful hospitality!"

"This hotel is a real gem! I believe it's a local establishment, and everything from the ambiance, size, unique features, cleanliness, and service was top-notch. I especially loved the resort-style vibe – it's truly an 'art' hotel. There are so many artistic installations and paintings throughout the property, all with excellent taste. I stayed in a garden view room this time and particularly enjoyed the semi-open-air shower area. Dinner was absolutely superb at the beachfront restaurant, which offers a different theme each night, creating a wonderful atmosphere. My only complaint would be the breakfast. While there are many options, it's a 'choose one out of ten' system. For many, especially those who prefer a Western breakfast, it's simply not enough food. Even the fruit portion was tiny – 'three types of fruit, 6 small slices in total, very delicate, but not satisfying.' And you only get one glass of juice and one coffee."

"I requested a room with one large bed instead of two singles when I booked, and again at check-in. They nodded at reception and then ignored it, even though half the hotel was empty. Everywhere, they try to force extra commissions on you when you order anything in the restaurant. The menu should always show the final price; all costs (taxes and so on) should be included. For example, I take a ready-made coffee to go for $4, and they try to tack on a service charge... What service? I'm taking it out, they're not cleaning my table, not giving me a massage. They don't provide an answer. We're not buying coffee beans that they need to prepare and turn into coffee with a service, are we? Let's then charge a land tax, the chef's health insurance, and a disposal fee for the toilet. Are you kidding me? I've visited several cafes in Bali, and nowhere was this the case! One time I encountered it, I called the police and they immediately cancelled all extra charges! Keep this in mind. It's not about the money, but deception is unacceptable."

"The room was quite spacious but very basic, just a chair and no sofa. I didn't even bother taking pictures. It's on the ground floor, but not too damp. There's an outdoor shower on the ground floor. The service was excellent, always greeted with smiles! This is something Indonesia really excels at! The main restaurant was also delicious. The cliffside restaurant had a nice view, but it was very windy at night and not as good as the main restaurant. Breakfast with the ocean view was stunning, buffet style, not as good as Bali hotels but sufficient. The two trees at the hotel gave it a nice vibe, and the beach sparkled at night, perfect for stargazing! Both pools were very photogenic. We stayed for two nights and went island hopping both days. Overall, it was decent, but not as good as the one in Komodo."

"A modern and cozy hotel just cross the road to famous senggigi beach. Easy to find cafes and resto. So many tour operators along the road. Just pick any one you love and meet your budget. I rent a scooter to go around senggigi, mangsit, nipah and further up to bangsal harbour. Many nice view ports to stop by along the road from hotel to bangsal harbour."

"The resort is located next to pier which is very convient for travellers to and from other island in Indonesia. The site was huge and nicely decorated. The pool was equipped with a volleyball net and water slide which is perfect for everyone. They have daily activities arranged to entertain guests, eg yoga, fun golf etc. A lot of Breakfast options and the food was delicious. The only problem we got was a bit of drainage smell at the toilet and the drainage was slow. All the all, we would love to visit again."

"I was extremely satisfied with every aspect of my stay from the service to the facilities. My room came with a private pool and a breathtaking sea view, which was the absolute highlight. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying a swim in my own pool while overlooking the ocean felt like pure luxury. The room itself was beautifully designed, spacious, and perfectly clean. The atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a getaway. I also appreciated how well-maintained the entire property was, and how everything was thoughtfully arranged to ensure guests had a comfortable and memorable stay."
