"The hotel is quite large, and during my stay, I saw Chinese tour groups checking in every day. The soundproofing is very good, and the breakfast offers a really wide variety of fruits. The room is also spacious enough. The only downside is that the location is too remote; I often waited over 10 minutes for a taxi, and it's quite far from the city center."

"The Esplanade Hotel scores big on location — it's perfectly situated and hard to beat for exploring the area on foot. The beds were genuinely comfortable and made for a restful night's sleep. That said, the rest of the interior is showing its age. The furniture and furnishings are visibly worn and could use replacing. It doesn't ruin the stay, but it is noticeable and brings the overall experience down a notch. Overall a solid choice if location and sleep quality are your priorities — just be aware that the room itself has seen better days."

"Easy to find. Tram ride to hotel from train station so it was super convenient. Newr all attractions! You can decide to walk or take a tram which is right around the corner of hotel. Quite at night and big rooms! Coffee shop in the lobby is also good. People are nice and pleasant. Will definitely stay in this hotel again. Woke up with birds singing everyday :-)"

"Me and my friend had an amazing stay at your property. Reception staff named ‘Dari’ was very friendly and very helpful on our check in. Room was nice and has a very comfy beds. Breakfast was so delicious, plus very friendly and very accomodating Filipino staffs. Big thanks to the tall guy on the breakfast(sorry we forgot his name) for the excellent service. We will definitely come back."

"I only now stay at this hotel when I am in Zagreb. From the moment you walk through the main doors and into the reception area, you are warmly acknowledged and greeted. You are a valued guest and are treated like one. Check in process is smooth and seamless. The room is well-appointed and given the time of the year, cosy and warm. The bed wa super comfortable and the pillows offered enough support to ensure a good nights' sleep. The bathroom was spotless and the heated towel rail was much appreciated. If you are so inclined, the mini bar is stocked and there is also excellent room service. The buffet breakfast is sensational- the best in Zagreb. Something for everyone and for all dietary requirements. The one thing that always impresses me here is the fact that all employees and acknowledge their guests- from the room attendants to the kitchen staff. I will alway come back to the Astoria Zagreb. Thank you for looking after me."

"In need of refurbishment from a cosmetic perspective, as the carpet in my hotel room was worn and tired. No body wash and had to ring housekeeping for refill… perhaps this should be checked regularly with cleaning. Cannot fault the care demonstrated towards guests and breakfast quality. A grand old lady of Zagreb that will always draw me to her. Fantastic location. Highly recommended."

"The apartment was nice enough for a couple of nights. Large bedroom but uncomfortable pillows, modern bathroom, very small kitchen and living room. The downside to our stay was that we didn’t receive check-in instructions from the property. I tried to contact them on three separate occasions, but to no avail. In the end, my daughter, who was already staying there, managed to speak with someone. Also, the address listed on Trip.com is incorrect, and once again, we were able to access the building and the apartment thanks to my daughter—I don’t know what we would have done otherwise. We never received a response from the manager, the owner, or whoever was in charge of check-in."
