"The hotel is very close to Huangguoshu Scenic Area, about a five-minute drive away, and offers a free shuttle service. The rooms are newly renovated and reasonably clean. However, it's right next to the road, so it's very noisy. There's a pool and parking lot downstairs, which is convenient for self-drivers. There are many late-night snack restaurants nearby, so you won't have to worry about food, but it's easy to pick a bad one, and I felt the reviews were misleading. My main complaint is about the service; it significantly detracted from the overall experience: The front desk staff was cold; they didn't offer a single greeting during check-in. When I called for a pen and paper, they agreed but never sent it. If I pushed, they became impatient and showed their annoyance. Room service was incredibly slow. There was even an opened bottle of water in the room. When I called the front desk, they told me to go downstairs and buy it myself, refusing to deliver. At night, the air conditioning was extremely loud; if I didn't turn it on, it was stuffy, but if I did, it was deafening. Opening the window meant noise from passing cars. In short, the stay at this hotel was extremely poor! The breakfast selection was mediocre with not much to eat, and items weren't refilled promptly. Dishes were cleared slowly, and the dining area wasn't tidied regularly. If you're solely looking for proximity to the scenic area and a clean room, you might manage for one night. But if you value attentive service and quick responses, I don't recommend this place. Other guesthouses in the area offer better service at the same price. Moreover, the price is higher than surrounding hotels, making it very poor value for money!"

"I brought my family to stay in the deluxe parent-child suite at Kaiyuan Manju Huangguoshu for two nights, and we were thoroughly satisfied with the experience. The suite was spacious and well-designed, specifically equipped with children's amenities, and decorated in a warm and playful style. The smart home system was convenient to use, and the room was meticulously cleaned. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The hotel also has a children's playground and a pet park, which my kids absolutely loved. It's very close to the Huangguoshu Scenic Area, making our travels effortless. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and Ms. Winnie, a staff member, provided warm, thoughtful, and prompt service. After visiting the waterfall, we could return to the hotel and rest assured. It's perfect for family trips, and definitely our top choice for a parent-child vacation in Huangguoshu. We'll choose to stay here again on our next trip."

"This hotel is not far from Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The overall facilities are well-maintained, and the service attitude is good. The dedicated concierge was responsive. The breakfast was simple but filling. However, the shuttle service was a bit lacking. Since the hotel usually only has one vehicle for round trips between the hotel, the scenic area, and station transfers, the shuttle duties are quite heavy. Therefore, it's even more crucial to arrange the transfer order logically, especially for station drop-offs. On the morning of my second day, I had a reservation for Shuilian Cave from 8 am to 10 am, so I pre-booked the shuttle to the scenic area. But when I went down to get in the car, the front desk told me there were guests who needed to be dropped off at the station, and asked me to wait a moment, which I agreed to. On the morning of the third day, I had to catch a 10 am bus to Xijiang, so I specifically booked the shuttle for 8:20 am the night before. The concierge also confirmed my reservation. At 8:10 am on the third day, I contacted the front desk, and they replied that the driver was currently dropping off guests and would call me when he returned. At 8:15 am, we went downstairs early. The front desk then told me that there was a family ahead of me who hadn't booked but wanted to go to the scenic area, and because they were waiting earlier than me, I would have to wait. I informed them that I had booked the 8:20 am shuttle last night. The front desk acknowledged this but said they couldn't turn away guests who showed up. At this point, the problem was already evident. The hotel's website clearly states that shuttle service requires a two-hour advance reservation. Given this, shouldn't booked reservations be prioritized? The front desk then said that our two families could fit in one car and asked if we could go together, which I agreed to. However, because we were going in different directions, the other family clearly had no intention of letting us ride with them. The driver actually returned past 8:40 am. As soon as the car arrived, that family immediately rushed in and took the front seats. We had luggage, and the elderly person had difficulty walking, so it was impossible for us. The driver knew we were in a hurry to get to the station and tried to negotiate with them to let him drop us off first, but they refused to get out. At this point, the manager came out. After understanding the situation, he found another driver who finally took us to the station. He dropped us off at the Huangguoshu Tourist Center, and we arrived at the station around 9:50 am. We rushed over anxiously, only to be told we needed to go to another station to catch the bus. All this rushing left the elderly person exhausted. I had originally planned to arrive almost two hours early precisely because the elderly person had difficulty walking and I needed to factor in luggage and security checks, but I almost missed my bus due to the shuttle issue. I have two suggestions: 1. Since your website clearly states that shuttle service requires a two-hour advance reservation, this rule must be followed. You can prioritize booked guests and then have unbooked guests wait in line for the next available shuttle. 2. The front desk should allocate reservation times reasonably based on the round-trip duration of the vehicle, instead of telling guests the car is still en route when their reservation time arrives."

"The room was nice, clean, and had no strange odors. The duvet wasn't too thick, which was perfect for the season. It's about a 10-minute walk from the Huangguoshu ticket office, which is also the main archway/third visitor center. If you don't feel like walking, the hotel offers a shuttle service. Breakfast was simple but had everything you needed, and there's a dedicated parking lot. Just a few minutes' walk away, there's also a street with unique local restaurants."

"Here in this very pretty and clean room for one night! It would be nice to stay here for another night but there was nothing nice around except 黄果树 scenic area. There was pick-up service using the home stay's car to and fro the scenic area. The driver was very flexible about it. He was also a nice person to chat with! The homestay also had their own restaurant at level 1. Food was quite good. I got takeaway so I could enjoy my dinner while watching drama. Room facilities and toilet were good. Breakfast was provided too. Those going to the scenic area, I will recommend you to stay here! The driver and workers were very nice."

"This hotel boasts an excellent location, less than a 5-minute walk from the No. 3 sightseeing bus stop, which is the closest stop to the scenic area. The hotel facilities are very new, and the management style resembles that of a large chain hotel. Room service is handled by robots. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the bed is very comfortable and spacious. The hotel has its own underground parking lot, making it very convenient for those traveling by car. There's a food street right across from the hotel, so dining is super easy. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Huangguoshu. On our first day, we entered the park around 3 PM, avoiding the peak crowds. We visited the Great Waterfall, Doupotang, and even got a bird's-eye view, and there weren't many people around. On the second day, we woke up early and took the sightseeing bus to Tianxingqiao around 6:40 AM. It was very uncrowded, and there was no congestion at all. We had finished our visit and returned to the hotel by 9:30 AM. This off-peak travel strategy was fantastic. Huangguoshu Waterfall is definitely worth a visit; it's truly magnificent. The hotel's excellent location also contributed greatly to our experience."

The bedding and smart features are on par with what you'd find in a chain hotel. "Having worked in the hotel management industry for many years, I found this hotel to be excellent in terms of environment, cleanliness, and service. It was inconvenient to take my child to the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area, so the owner arranged for a car to pick us up and drop us off. After returning to the scenic area, we didn't want to go back to the hotel to retrieve our luggage, so after discussing it with the hotel front desk, a hotel staff member personally drove it to us. The service was truly excellent."

"The hotel is quite new, and the room was lovely, with a pleasant scent upon entering. The pillows were very comfortable, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options. In the front desk area, there's complimentary fruit tea, coffee, hot water, and oranges. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to the Tourist Center, which you can book at the front desk (it's just a few minutes away from the Huangguoshu Third Tourist Center). There's a gym and a laundry room (though it gets busy with people washing and drying clothes in the evening; you can check availability on the room TV and scan a code to see your laundry's status). This is my second stay at an Orange branded hotel, and overall, it's been a great experience. Highly recommended!"

"The rooms were decent. I booked two rooms, but didn't check in until after 11 PM with my kids. We went out for a quick meal and by the time we returned, it was past midnight. The hotel lobby was completely dark, and I couldn't find anyone on duty. After finally making it upstairs, the key card for one of the rooms wasn't working, and the number on the card was out of service. I had to contact the hotel through Ctrip to get the card reactivated before I could open the door. The guy who came to help was nice and polite. However, once we got into the room, there were no slippers or bath mats. It was too late, so I didn't want to bother anyone again, and just grabbed a pair from my kids' room. Later, I also discovered the doorbell was broken, and the sink drain was a bit clogged, so I couldn't let the water run continuously 😓. There was also hardly any hand soap left!"
