"On my way home, I decided to stay at this hotel again. I've stayed here in previous years, so it's familiar and reliable, reducing the chances of a bad experience. It's pretty average:
1. The breakfast, perhaps due to fewer guests, had a reduced variety and quality compared to my last stay.
2. There's a small children's play area (a simple slide) next to the lobby front desk. My child excitedly put down their luggage and rushed downstairs to play (it was already past 9 PM). After playing for just a minute or two, they were told by staff that it couldn't be used due to some government fire safety inspection, as it would obstruct the fire doors.
Here's a suggestion: It would be better to put up a sign in advance next time, or simply dismantle it completely until the inspection is over. Otherwise, isn't it ridiculous to go through the motions of an inspection, claiming strict adherence to standards, when the play area is still there? Firstly, it was already 9:30 PM, and secondly, the issue was that the items themselves affected the opening and closing of the fire doors, not that someone playing in the area was the problem. Please get your logic straight."

"Choosing this five-star hotel for my May Day holiday was a delightful surprise! The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and efficient, and they even upgraded us to a suite for free. The room was well-maintained and felt very new, and the hotel had excellent facilities. The sea view was beautiful, and the breakfast buffet offered a fresh and wide variety of food. "The hotel is a decent five-star standard. The front desk staff were great, very warm and attentive. What really let it down was the housekeeping. The room smelled strongly of a damp, fishy odor. Housekeeping came and just 'half-heartedly' flushed the drain and opened the window. When I returned in the evening, the smell was still very strong, to the point of being nauseating. It was clearly caused by a dirty, damp mop. I called housekeeping again, and they asked me how I wanted it handled. That's when I also noticed the duvet cover smelled fishy too. After a long hassle, I was finally able to sleep, barely. Also, the room included afternoon tea from 2:00-5:00. We went at 4 pm, and they said the cake would take another hour and a half to be ready, which was too late. You could have easily prepared it and delivered it to the room instead of making excuses not to provide it, as tourists aren't going to stay in just to wait for your afternoon tea."

The bedding in the room was very clean, and the cleaning lady was wonderful. We were traveling with a child and asked her for extra bottles of water both days, and she was always very enthusiastic.
Don't bother going to the restaurant across the street. The pictures look great, but it's a huge rip-off. The Zhanjiang chicken wasn't even cooked through and was impossible to chew, and a plate of vegetables cost 28 yuan..."

"I chose this hotel for my trip and overall, it was a wonderfully comfortable stay. The room was clean with no strange odors, and the air conditioning, TV, and other amenities worked perfectly. I very much liked my stay here, the room was clean and peaceful, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had everything I needed, and the hotel location was good as it was near Dingsheng Plaza and also along a north-south main road that many major routes in the city travel on. The front desk staff spoke no English, and I only speak very basic Mandarin, but they were able to still fully assist me and help me check in and check out, especially Yun Zhan (云湛), who explained everything with hand gestures and simple words and demonstrated how to do some things too. Thank you very much! This was the first time I stayed at an Atour hotel but I was impressed and would definitely stay here or at another Atour hotel again. There was also free laundry but I did not know how to use it and it was outside the room and down a busy elevator so I never tried it in the end. :D
There are very few negatives and most of them are not fixable. One is that I did not like that the toilet was in another room from the bathroom, as I use all of them together and so I had to go back and forth between the two rooms a lot. A second that can be negative for some people is that there was a lot of honking from vehicles, 24 hours a day. However, I actually liked this because the sound was muted, so there was a ”far away busy city” vibe that made me happy. Lastly, the free night time porridge was very watery and not nice at all when I tried it.

I recently stayed at the Berman Hotel (Zhanjiang Dingsheng Plaza, Seaside Park) while visiting Zhanjiang, and it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Every interaction was friendly and made me feel truly valued as a guest.
The room was immaculately clean and comfortable and had all the essentials for a relaxing stay. I was impressed by how well-maintained everything was. After a long day of exploring the city, it was the perfect place to unwind.

From the moment I arrived, the reception staff made me feel welcome with their attentive and friendly service. They were always on hand to answer questions and assist with any requests I had. The room itself was impressively spacious and well-appointed, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. I was delighted to find complimentary fruits and desserts delivered every night, a lovely thoughtful touch that added to the overall experience. ChitianbuchikuFacilities: None. You have to wait for a table to have morning tea in the morning. We waited for half an hour for more than 20 tables. The food was served very slowly and we waited for an hour.
Environment: The main entrance is the door of the restaurant. It is reported that the hotel front desk has no location. It has to be walked for a while, which is inconvenient.
Service: average
Hygiene: Not good. There are many stains on the table and no one has wiped them. The sheets are not very clean. There is a strong smell in the bathroom. The bedside table and wardrobe smell of urine. I don’t know if I encountered unqualified guests. It’s terrible.
Others: Breakfast is only available until 9:30, and basically all room types require breakfast. It’s too early to get up, and it’s noisy at night so I can’t sleep well. And because of the lack of breakfast, I have to go and have tea by myself.

The staff is friendly, and the room is comfortable and safe. The front desk staff is very gentle. The location of the hotel is also very good and very convenient. The room is upstairs in Wanda Plaza. Downstairs is the food street, night market, shopping mall and casino. The room is fully furnished with appliances and furniture, the overall is great, and will stay again next time. Very satisfied!

This is the best value hotel I've ever stayed in, but you should just think of it as a ”guesthouse” since the price is really cheap.
Upon entering the room, it seemed well-maintained, but some corners and more secluded areas had a lot of dust (as shown in the picture).
The room wasn't very large, but it was sufficient. The bathroom and shower were surprisingly spacious, and the rain shower was very comfortable.
The only downside was that there were no chairs in the room, only a high stool. If two people bought takeout and ate it in the room, one person had to stand or sit on the edge of the bed to eat. It would have been more comfortable with two chairs (with backrests).
The location is its biggest advantage; it's not far from the pedestrian street, the old street, and major attractions, and there are many places to eat.

Very difficult to know where to park in parking garage beneath the shopping centre building. After driving around, found a sign to hotel, but not at entrance to parking garage.
Morning staff as unfriendly as evening staff. Just shouting at me! I kept on saying ”Weixin”. Lateron she registered...
