"Arrived in Yanji after 1 AM, and the owner was incredibly kind, even helping us secure a parking spot. The environment is fantastic—clean and spacious. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was delightful with congee, side dishes, coffee, soy milk, fresh milk, and other beverages, plus the main courses were delicious and really hit the spot for me. The best part was bringing my daughter, as she got to wear a Hanbok for free and we took so many pictures. There are photo-op spots right outside the hotel, and they have two big, chubby cats, making it a great place for cat lovers. Excellent value for money!"

"Facilities: Excellent! The location is super convenient. It's right next to Seomun Market, and only about a 10-minute walk to the Water Market. The famous 'Instagram wall' isn't far either, so you can easily stroll there. There are also well-known restaurants nearby, like Hanjeong Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup).
Hygiene: The room was very clean and tidied frequently.
Service: The service was truly outstanding. They would escort us to the elevator when we left, and helped us with getting water. They even gave us frozen pears and frozen persimmons to eat, and the persimmon and frozen pear juices were delicious. Breakfast was also very hearty. I'm genuinely impressed! The room was spacious too. I was traveling with my mom, and they remembered that she likes hot tea and coffee, which was a lovely touch. I was so pleased. We initially only booked for one night, but decided to extend our stay immediately after arriving."

"This is a hotel that is nearly 30 years old. It is far from the station. When I booked it, I thought it would be safer because it is an old hotel. The facilities are not so new, but the service quality is good. The small gifts prepared with care are all good. The most important thing is that the sound insulation is good. They are all solid walls, but the sound of the corridor can definitely be heard. Even if there is a sound outside the security door at home, it can be heard. Breakfast is self-service. There are many people staying here. Their requirements are quite strict. As long as you extend your stay, they will take the initiative to clean the room unless you actively tell them not to clean. I would like to give a small suggestion to the business. I hope there is a sign in the hotel that says ”no cleaning” that can be hung on the door outside."

"Room Type: The Ctrip photos accurately reflect the room, what you see is what you get. The room is quite spacious. At first, I thought the price was a bit high for a guesthouse, but after staying, I found it very comfortable.
Location: It's close to Yanbian University, within walking distance. You can stroll around near the 'internet-famous' wall. The dining spots are also close to several night markets. The places the owner recommended were all pretty good and generally didn't disappoint. When traveling, you can choose based on your budget and preferences.
Even though Yanji is a city where you can flag down a taxi anywhere, using Didi to get to the hotel is also very convenient.
Soundproofing: Being close to the front desk computer, it can be a bit noisy, but it's mostly just the owner cleaning in the morning and saying hello. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to request a room further inside.
Cleanliness: The owner does the cleaning themselves, and every part of the room is spotless, down to small details like the odor-blocking mat.
My only, only, only minor comment: The mattress is too soft, which isn't very friendly for those with back problems."

Later, I thought about going to the Folk Custom Park to take photos the next day after arriving, so I decided to stay here on the first night, so I booked one night. Unexpectedly, it was completely beyond my expectations. Although the facilities are old, I have to say that, but they are very well maintained. The room size is OK, but everything is very complete. Since Yanji is not big, it is very convenient to go everywhere, so I booked this hotel for the next two days. The front desk was very enthusiastic, especially on the third night, the parent-child room we originally booked was gone. The hotel not only showed me other rooms, but also let me book the cheapest room. They arranged the floor I wanted for me, and gave me free breakfast. When I left, I gave a small lucky bag. Very considerate. Yanji is suitable for eating, drinking and taking photos, so the room is completely OK. The cost performance is very high. I praise it.

The 'influencer wall' is simply the neon signs of the multi-story shops opposite Yanbian University. Of course, it's quite lively and attractive after dark, and the crowd itself is part of the scenery. As for the hotel, all aspects are pretty average – neither particularly good nor bad. If you can't find anything better, it's an acceptable option. (Mainly because it's a renovated old building, so there are always various imperfections.)

After checking out at around 8:00 AM the next day, I received a call from the hotel around 4:00 PM, saying there was a large, noticeable oil stain on the stool in my room, suspecting it was caused by my stay. I explained that I'd noticed the oil stain on my pants while tidying up, and I assumed it was from the stool. Naively, I thought the hotel would apologize. It wasn't until the staff member explained that I'd probably sat on the stool outside and then returned to sit on it, causing the stain. Then I realized they were implying compensation. I asked the staff if they'd found any oily debris in the room. If not, why were they so brazenly questioning me? Although we mediated the issue through the platform and received an apology on the hotel's behalf, their actions were deeply offensive and completely ruined my afternoon outing. They were questioning the guest without any basis. First, I hadn't eaten anything in the room, not even fruit. Secondly, checking out at 8:00 AM and contacting the guest 8 or 9 hours later to report the stain was extremely unprofessional.

There are also many delicious fried **, seaweed rice, soup restaurant and Xiaoshi classmate milkshake on the side. It is basically a 5-minute walk. Secondly, the hotel is relatively clean, and the contactless self-service check-in experience is good. The housekeeper will call in advance to add WeChat to inform the check-in precautions and door lock passwords. The next morning, he will ask if he needs to arrange cleaning admission. The room was very large. We brought three suitcases, a travel bag and a backpack. Unfortunately, this stay was early and late without taking pictures. MMarsha MarshaI had a great time in Yánjí since I planned a lot of border excursions. I can speak both Korean and Chinese comfortably to navigate this region, which is also known as the Third Korea. The location of this place was great since it was in the city center across from Yanji University. (I was assigned room 1206.)
I'm not sure which photos they're using for advertising, but my room looked far more beat up and outdated. I also killed a lot of small cockroaches that were roaming around the kitchenette area. Again, this was not a big deal for me since they weren't ginormous, but one huge cockroach did appear one day near the bathroom. It's one thing for the room to look somewhat different from the advertised photos, but please at least keep the space much cleaner. (The laundry machine was bonus, but I had to buy laundry soap next door at the convenience store. This should have been provided considering there was an empty soap box on the floor next to the machine.) The reason why I booked this place was to do frequent laundry rather than stay at a hotel...
I traveled from NYC, so it wasn't like I was an average Chinese tourist from a domestic region. This was my first visit to China since 1996.05 and I used my 10-year China visa for the first time since I applied back in 2017.08.
Note: I checked out the other rooms on the floor and they were much nicer than what I booked. I'm guessing those were listed on WeChat and the less attractive rooms are listed on here, etc.
After I checked out by 12:00 noon, I stored my luggage next door at the convenience store for a few hours. They charged CN¥5/per hour… I paid CN¥15 since I knew 3 hours was all I needed before my flight.
