"I booked this hotel because I found online the owners feed stray cats. Owners/staff are very helpful and friendly. I even rebooked an extra night on the spot since I decided to stay in Yanji a bit longer and that was all sorted smoothly. I also asked for a different pillow, as the one on the bed was quite large and I got a new smaller pillow right away.
Cleanliness of the hotel is OK.
The room itself is fine, but even in February it was very very warm. So I ended up sleeping with the window open.
Location is fine, I personally don’t mind walking and taxi’s in Yanji are relatively cheap.
Regarding amenities, there are two washing machines but one dryer. So I took some useless trips to see if the dryer was finished yet so I could dry my clothing.
Breakfast is also OK."

"This trip to Yanji, I chose to stay at the Orange Crystal Hotel near Yanbian University's famous 'influencer wall', and it was a great experience. The hotel's location is excellent, just over a kilometer from the Yanbian University influencer wall, easily reachable by foot or public transport. Across the street is People's Park, which is especially beautiful at night. There are many Yanji delicacies around the hotel; the original Heba BBQ restaurant is only 200 meters away. The hotel facilities are very new and clean, and the breakfast was incredibly rich. The staff service was also impeccable; they not only gave us a Yanji travel guide but also upgraded our room. We even received a souvenir upon check-out. All in all, I'm very satisfied with choosing to stay at the Orange Crystal Hotel for this trip."

"Facilities: Excellent! The location is super convenient. It's right next to Seomun Market, and only about a 10-minute walk to the Water Market. The famous 'Instagram wall' isn't far either, so you can easily stroll there. There are also well-known restaurants nearby, like Hanjeong Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup).
Hygiene: The room was very clean and tidied frequently.
Service: The service was truly outstanding. They would escort us to the elevator when we left, and helped us with getting water. They even gave us frozen pears and frozen persimmons to eat, and the persimmon and frozen pear juices were delicious. Breakfast was also very hearty. I'm genuinely impressed! The room was spacious too. I was traveling with my mom, and they remembered that she likes hot tea and coffee, which was a lovely touch. I was so pleased. We initially only booked for one night, but decided to extend our stay immediately after arriving."

"This is a hotel that is nearly 30 years old. It is far from the station. When I booked it, I thought it would be safer because it is an old hotel. The facilities are not so new, but the service quality is good. The small gifts prepared with care are all good. The most important thing is that the sound insulation is good. They are all solid walls, but the sound of the corridor can definitely be heard. Even if there is a sound outside the security door at home, it can be heard. Breakfast is self-service. There are many people staying here. Their requirements are quite strict. As long as you extend your stay, they will take the initiative to clean the room unless you actively tell them not to clean. I would like to give a small suggestion to the business. I hope there is a sign in the hotel that says ”no cleaning” that can be hung on the door outside."

"Yanji left such a strong impression on me, I'm still thinking about it half a month after returning! And this hotel, in particular, exceeded my expectations! As soon as we arrived in Yanji, the hotel called us to guide us to the parking lot. Later, because of some renovations in the back, the manager came out to help us park and even carried our luggage! The service was truly heartwarming, and the hotel environment was excellent too! The facilities were complete! They were so welcoming to my child, even giving them a small gift! What really stood out was the hotel breakfast. Out of all the hotels I've stayed in, this one's breakfast was the most to my taste. The beef soup and rice was even better than what you find outside, and the warm noodles were delicious too! All the aunties in the restaurant were incredibly friendly! Truly fantastic, I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!"

"The facilities are brand new, modern, and very functional, easily comparable to some designer hotels in major cities. The location is also excellent – right outside you'll find the famous 'influencer wall,' and because it's not directly on the street, it's wonderfully quiet! The owner is incredibly nice; they gave us great recommendations for delicious local specialties. The room was spacious, and the value for money was outstanding. Highly recommend for anyone traveling!"

GGuest UserThe hotel service was excellent, and the location couldn't be better! There's Jeonju Bibimbap, Service Building Naengmyeon, and Yoogane restaurant nearby. We ate well and slept soundly. Even though it was a family room, it was perfect for three friends traveling together, and the room was very spacious. I'll definitely recommend it to other friends!

GGuest UserThe most satisfying hotel in the seven-day trip. First of all, the location is very good. Next to the West Market, go to the water market for about 5 minutes. The net red wall is about ten minutes. The room is very hygienic. The whole house is smart. I like this small yard the most. It is more perfect to live in summer. There are many foods nearby. You can ask all kinds of food back to the yard, and you will visit again next year to live.

The front desk service was warm and attentive; check-in was efficient, and they were quick to respond to any requests. The facilities are comprehensive, and it offers excellent value for money. WWoyaochuquzouzouzouI was a little confused before coming here because I always like newer and larger hotels. Later, I thought about going to the Folk Custom Park to take photos the next day after arriving, so I decided to stay here on the first night, so I booked one night. Unexpectedly, it was completely beyond my expectations. Although the facilities are old, I have to say that, but they are very well maintained. The room size is OK, but everything is very complete. Since Yanji is not big, it is very convenient to go everywhere, so I booked this hotel for the next two days. The front desk was very enthusiastic, especially on the third night, the parent-child room we originally booked was gone. The hotel not only showed me other rooms, but also let me book the cheapest room. They arranged the floor I wanted for me, and gave me free breakfast. When I left, I gave a small lucky bag. Very considerate. Yanji is suitable for eating, drinking and taking photos, so the room is completely OK. The cost performance is very high. I praise it.

The sugar-free green tea in the fridge was surprisingly good, and they even provided individually sealed disposable cups, which was a nice touch. The toiletries in the bathroom were tamper-proof, adding a sense of security, and there were alcohol wipes for the toilet, ensuring good hygiene. The washing machine left my clothes smelling great, and having a separate dryer was very convenient. The front desk staff were also very helpful; they found me a room with great ventilation and an independent air conditioner based on my needs, making for a very comfortable night's sleep. Oh, and by the way, the Jinmutou BBQ restaurant across from the hotel served the cheapest and most delicious skewers I've had since coming up north – we stuffed ourselves for around 50 yuan per person! This hotel is also surrounded by trendy shops, making it super convenient for getting around. It's also close to the Water Market and West Market, both within a kilometer.

This stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is superb, making it convenient to visit attractions and shopping areas. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming and quick to check in, even proactively recommending nearby restaurants. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, so I slept very well last night. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, both Chinese and Western, and the food was delicious. The hotel gym was well-equipped, and I enjoyed a workout there in the evening. Overall, it's great value for money, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time!

MMLS755So glad we chose to stay at this hotel and area. It’s right in front of the folk garden, walking distance to many restaurants, museums, and dinosaur world park. The staff was very welcoming during our stay, including the cute delivery robot. The rooms are very comfortable and the rooftop terrace has beautiful views. Lots of pillow provided, high end bedding, and big beds even for a family of 4. We hope to be back!

MMarsha MarshaI had a great time in Yánjí since I planned a lot of border excursions. I can speak both Korean and Chinese comfortably to navigate this region, which is also known as the Third Korea. The location of this place was great since it was in the city center across from Yanji University. (I was assigned room 1206.)
I'm not sure which photos they're using for advertising, but my room looked far more beat up and outdated. I also killed a lot of small cockroaches that were roaming around the kitchenette area. Again, this was not a big deal for me since they weren't ginormous, but one huge cockroach did appear one day near the bathroom. It's one thing for the room to look somewhat different from the advertised photos, but please at least keep the space much cleaner. (The laundry machine was bonus, but I had to buy laundry soap next door at the convenience store. This should have been provided considering there was an empty soap box on the floor next to the machine.) The reason why I booked this place was to do frequent laundry rather than stay at a hotel...
I traveled from NYC, so it wasn't like I was an average Chinese tourist from a domestic region. This was my first visit to China since 1996.05 and I used my 10-year China visa for the first time since I applied back in 2017.08.
Note: I checked out the other rooms on the floor and they were much nicer than what I booked. I'm guessing those were listed on WeChat and the less attractive rooms are listed on here, etc.
After I checked out by 12:00 noon, I stored my luggage next door at the convenience store for a few hours. They charged CN¥5/per hour… I paid CN¥15 since I knew 3 hours was all I needed before my flight.
