"I had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Qufu. The hotel is elegant, very clean, and what impressed me the most was its beautiful traditional Chinese-style design, which perfectly matches the cultural atmosphere of Qufu. All of the staff were professional, welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout my stay. Their kindness and attention to detail made me feel very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, with a great variety of high-quality food. I would rate it 9.5 out of 10. Manting Garden Hotel in Qufu Sankong Scenic Area | Meeting Manting during Urban Vacation The Manting Garden Hotel, located on the west side of the Confucian Temple, is only a hundred meters away from the Wanren Palace Wall. Stay at Manting and experience a true 'urban vacation' amidst the morning bells and evening drums.

"This was the only hotel we stayed at in Qufu that we were really satisfied with. It's a 3-minute walk from Wanren Palace Wall and right next to the Confucius Temple, and a 10-minute taxi ride to the Confucius Museum. The hotel's courtyard-style environment is very comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided a fruit platter upon check-in. Their restaurant is quite a popular spot in Qufu, and we had a decent lunch there. It was so pleasant to enjoy a meal by the pool in the summer heat. The hotel's breakfast buffet was also very impressive, with some delicious Shandong specialties. We booked a two-story duplex room with two bathrooms, which was incredibly convenient for two families. Everyone absolutely loved it!"

Hotel near Sankong Scenic Area (Kong Family Mansion/Temple of Confucius/Cemetery of Confucius),Qufu
The hotel is located within the Qufu Ancient City, adjacent to the Confucius Mansion and Confucius Temple, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which are just a 6–10 minute walk away. All first-floor rooms feature private courtyards, while all second-floor rooms come with viewing balconies, and some guest rooms offer direct views of the Confucius Temple. Built in a traditional courtyard architectural style, the hotel incorporates rich cultural elements including multiple water features, an openwork ginkgo tree design in the lobby, and themed relief sculptures. The hotel houses JW Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant serving buffet with local Qufu specialties; Zouyuan Confucius Mansion Cuisine Restaurant, offering authentic traditional Confucius Mansion dishes and Shandong cuisine; Jiamu Hall Teahouse, an independent tea-tasting area; and the Lobby Bar, providing delicate Chinese-style afternoon tea. It is equipped with comprehensive leisure and recreational facilities, including a constant-temperature indoor swimming pool with a domed natural skylight, aerobic fitness facilities, as well as cultural experiences such as the traditional Chinese First Writing Ceremony for children, Six Arts parent-child activities, and stone-milled tofu making. An ideal choice for both business travelers and leisure tourists alike.

"The hotel has a predominantly Chinese resort-style vibe, and I'd give top marks for its location, facilities, amenities, and service. Most importantly, the hotel's atmosphere is fantastic. The hotel is just a wall away from the Three Confucius Sites scenic area, but compared to the uninspired tick-the-box sightseeing, a staycation at QuFu JW Marriott completely blows it out of the water. Before coming, I checked some online reviews, and some mentioned the hotel's hardware was subpar. I actually think that's a bit unfair. Firstly, the room's layout is excellent, giving a very well-designed feel. The bathroom features Kohler fixtures, and for a hotel opened in 2019, it even has a Kohler automatic toilet. My only two minor criticisms are that the night light isn't very bright, and the water temperature fluctuates during showers. The hotel's soft furnishings are also very interesting, with many books of ancient Chinese poetry (Shijing) in seal script and bamboo carvings. The decor is very Qufu-esque, incorporating many local elements, which is truly wonderful. Regarding amenities, I tried the hotel's Chinese restaurant and the barbecue restaurant. Both offer great value for money, and the service quality is excellent, with the dishes receiving top marks. At the Chinese restaurant, I recommend the stir-fried shrimp with cabbage, and at the barbecue restaurant, the pork belly skewers. The Chinese restaurant's decor also has a very Confucian feel, and the barbecue restaurant even has a live singer, making the atmosphere truly superb. As for breakfast, guest services actually provided a complimentary one, but they stop serving at 10 AM, and I only woke up at 10:01 AM... This is probably my only minor regret, but it's not a big deal and gives me something to look forward to for my next visit! Here's a small suggestion: for a resort hotel, breakfast should ideally be served until at least 10:30 AM. In terms of guest services, both the concierge and the WeChat butler were excellent, with very prompt responses to requests. I'm very grateful for them making me feel right at home. The welcome fruit delivered in the evening was ginseng fruit, and although there wasn't a huge variety, it was unique and tasted particularly good. Finally, a huge thank you to: the manager of the Chinese restaurant (I actually gave a small suggestion regarding the food presentation, and because of their excellent service attitude, despite a minor issue, they even sent me a fruit platter – truly embodying Qufu hospitality's humble approach), Sun Na and Zhang Xue from housekeeping, and Xiao Yuan and Xiao Gao from guest relations. Thank you all for providing me with such a 'home away from home' experience."

"Huge thanks to Butler No. 56 for the warm and thoughtful service! The Analects of Confucius souvenir was also a practical touch. The hotel's decor has a beautiful traditional Chinese style, with quotes from the Analects and displays of intangible cultural heritage throughout, which was delightful to see. Our trip was even more enjoyable thanks to all of you."

The Atour Hotel (Kong Family Mansion) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Qufu will find that the Atour Hotel (Kong Family Mansion) is a fantastic accommodation choice. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Qufu Railway Station located approximately 3km away and Jining Da'an Airport roughly 29km away. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Kuiwen Pavilion, National Park and Ming Ancient City. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. Guests of this Qufu hotel can make use of the parking facilities. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"The main reason for our stay in Qufu was, of course, Confucius, and this hotel has a good location: we could easily walk to the Temple, envy as in with the mansion, then ride a horse pulled cart to the cemetery. Contract fulfilled. The sport place, across the street had fun night activities, and there were a lot of eateries, cheap and delicious, on the block The hotel itself shows its age with some deferred maintenance, such as a rusted parts in the bathroom, a sub-optimal laundry room, and some lacking service: for example, the tea and coffee bags in the room, an Atour highlight, were not replenished, and we were not offered water upon departure. Great breakfast, as always."

The distance to Nishan Holy Land is short, and it is very comfortable to rest after playing. You can see the fireworks show at the entrance of the hotel and will come again next time."

"This guesthouse is a real gem! The room design is superb, the double sofa by the window creates such a cozy atmosphere—perfect for enjoying a cup of tea and watching a movie in the evening. The value is phenomenal; at this price, it even includes a Tmall Genie smart home system, instantly elevating the stay experience. The best surprise is the elevator—no effort at all when carrying large luggage! The room was impeccably clean, spotless; the mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The location is also amazing—just a 3-minute walk to the attractions, making travel incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were exceptionally welcoming and even recommended a local gem for breakfast buns—delicious and affordable. Overall, a perfect experience, incredibly high value, a true hidden gem—I'll definitely choose this place again next time!"

"I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's courtyard design. It would be even better if they could add a clothes rack or some outdoor seating to the courtyard. The hotel boasts a superb location, right next to the Confucius Temple. The site itself was once a granary, and it's now flanked by a Party School and a Marriott hotel. Interestingly, no buildings in the city are allowed to exceed the height of the Dacheng Hall at the Confucius Temple. Breakfast offers a wide variety. The room's bedding is comfortable, and the bathrooms are spotless. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful; on hot days, they'd always ask if we needed water before heading out. The thoughtful touch of a postcard in the room, paired with a pot of tea, provides a perfect way to unwind after a long journey. From here, you can easily walk to the Confucius Temple to witness its morning gate-opening ceremony, evening gate-closing ceremony, and nightly light show. Food delivery services are readily available nearby, and it's only about 1.5 kilometers from Qufu Normal University."

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Confucius Temple, just a few steps away. It was incredibly convenient for watching the gate-opening ceremony in the morning, exploring the Three Confucius Sites during the day, and enjoying the light show in the evening. The breakfast was very plentiful, and we had dinner at the hotel, which was both delicious and reasonably priced. The room had a unique character, and the butler even upgraded our room type, allowing my whole family to stay more comfortably and spaciously, which was very thoughtful. The complimentary small gifts like the fan and ruler were also very practical and special. The cats and rabbits were adorable too. The only slight downside was some issues with the toilet and shower, but the butler resolved them promptly.

1. **Service Experience** I have to give a special shout-out to our butler, Dai Shanshan. Her service was attentive and thorough throughout our stay. After we checked in, she proactively recommended itineraries, local eateries, and transportation options based on our plans. She was also incredibly responsive to all our questions. The hotel also provided complimentary fresh fruit, special Dragon Boat Festival gifts, and even thoughtful late-night snacks. The service far exceeded that of hotels in the same category, making for an excellent experience. 2. **Location** The hotel is located in the heart of Qufu, right next to Ginza Mall, offering easy access to dining and shopping. It's only 1.3 kilometers from the Three Confucius Sites, just a few minutes by taxi, making it very convenient for sightseeing. 3. **Hotel Environment** The overall decor follows a Confucian cultural theme, providing a tranquil escape from the bustling city. The rooms are quiet and tidy, and the garden-style environment is serene and comfortable, ensuring a high quality of rest. 4. **Facilities** The hotel's facilities are well-maintained, and the guest rooms are fully equipped with thoughtful details, maximizing comfort. **Summary** Considering its prime location, excellent facilities, and warm service, this hotel offers great value for money. I highly recommend choosing it for your visit to Qufu.

The bathroom was tiny, and the toilet looked quite old. The sink wasn't particularly clean either. Mobile reception in the room was poor, and the hotel's Wi-Fi signal was weak; it was okay for watching videos but not recommended for gaming. The room wasn't very spacious, with two beds and a narrow aisle. Parking was available right in front of the hotel with free spots. The hotel is very close to the Confucius Temple, just a two-minute walk. The only upside was the very friendly owners; they answered all our questions, and the elderly couple was very welcoming. It was alright for a two-night stay while taking the kids to school, especially considering the much lower price. Can't expect too much for what we paid, this is an honest review.

🏢 : The outside is a bit old but the reception place is bright and clear, easy to get around. 🏙️ : the location is absolutely amazing, very near to all that should be visited in QuFu 🚬 : although public areas are smoking free, it smelled terribly bad cigarettes. Even inside my room, it smelled strong odor of tobacco which was unpleasant. 🧹 : cleanliness is average and could be improved as I found some ashes and one or two peels of sunflower seeds. 🥞 Breakfast served is Chinese cuisine, very rich and delicious. Very much liked it ! Nice music during shower time which is put automatically. Good quality bed, very enjoyable sleep. Overall nice service from people working there.

Hotel facilities and equipment are still relatively novel, double-layer windows, sound insulation effect is very good, the eldest sister is very enthusiastic, the questions asked are warm guidance, clean and safe to live. It is very close to the Sankong Scenic Area. It takes 10 minutes to walk. Parking is also convenient. Free parking in the backyard. You can go to the stadium to visit the night market at night. Baiyi Supermarket is adjacent to the south of the hotel. Shopping is also convenient and worth recommending.
