"Had a fantastic stay! 👍 As expected from the hometown of Confucius and Mencius, a land of etiquette, every staff member, from the front desk at check-in to the restaurant during meals, was attentive, thoughtful, and full of enthusiasm. Both the overall layout of the hotel and the design of every little corner made for a comfortable and pleasant experience. Thumbs up! 👍"

JW Marriott Hotel Qufu ★★★★★

📍 No. 99 Banbi Street, Qufu

"Traveling to Qufu with kids? Look no further! Our second stay at the Marriott was just as delightful as the first! I had an excellent experience when I first redeemed Marriott points for a stay on the 18th of last month, so I specifically booked another two nights this time. Honestly, this is absolutely the top choice for families visiting Qufu with children! The hotel's indoor swimming pool has clean water and is well-maintained, and my child had a fantastic time. The transportation to nearby attractions is also incredibly convenient, offering a great balance of activity and relaxation. What truly impressed me were the hotel's service details. During both of my consecutive stays, the cleaning staff, Hao Zhaojun and Chen Xia, were incredibly warm, observant, and attentive. They always noticed even the smallest needs of the guests. Additionally, the buffet is really impressive, incorporating so many authentic local specialties. The noodle dishes are comparable to those in Japan and Korea – not only are they exquisitely presented, but they also taste delicious! During our meal, Dansy Hu, the buffet manager, led by example, demonstrating high professionalism and a warm attitude that made us feel right at home. Both the facilities and the service are impeccable. Highly recommended!"

JI Hotel (Qufu's Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and Kong Family Mansion, Confucius Temple)
9.6 (947 reviews)

JI Hotel (Qufu's Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and Kong Family Mansion, Confucius Temple) ★★★★

📍 No. 19-1 West Gate Street, Qufu

"On our family trip to Qufu, we opted for the Ji Hotel Confucius Temple branch (one of the three Ji Hotels in the city). Its prime location is a major plus, being just over a 10-minute walk to the Confucius Temple. The courtyard-style room design was very impressive, and the room itself was well-laid-out and impeccably clean. Our children absolutely loved feeding the fish in the hotel's courtyard pond. The front desk staff were incredibly warm, thoughtful, and efficient, always responding promptly to any request. Breakfast was also quite good; while the selection wasn't huge, it was more than adequate for our needs. All in all, we would definitely return."

"The hotel has an elegant style, is clean and hygienic, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and a wide variety of breakfast options. Its location is very close to the Confucius Temple, just a few minutes' walk away. There's a city gate opening ceremony every morning at 8 AM, which is worth seeing. The K01 bus from Qufu East Station goes directly to the hotel, making it very convenient."

Rujia Business Hotel (Qufuni Mountain Holy Scenic Area Branch) ★★★

📍 No. 8 Nishan Shengshuihu South Road, Qufu

"This trip to Nishan digs to the Treasure Hotel! The courtyard-style environment is quiet and elegant, and there is a campground in the courtyard. The location is excellent, close to the Holy Land of Nishan, you can enjoy the gorgeous fireworks show at night without leaving the hotel, and look at the statue of Confucius. The room was clean and tidy, there was no smell, and the living experience was great. The front desk and service staff are gentle and meticulous. The breakfast dishes are rich and varied. Self-driving travel is very convenient, oversized parking lot plus charging piles to solve charging problems. The environment, service, hardware have exceeded expectations, and there are campsites to play. This is the first choice for visiting Nishan Holy Land. I really recommend it!"

Small Town Story Boutique Hotel ★★★

📍 No. 6 Humiao Street, Qufu

"This guesthouse is a real gem! The room design is superb, the double sofa by the window creates such a cozy atmosphere—perfect for enjoying a cup of tea and watching a movie in the evening. The value is phenomenal; at this price, it even includes a Tmall Genie smart home system, instantly elevating the stay experience. The best surprise is the elevator—no effort at all when carrying large luggage! The room was impeccably clean, spotless; the mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The location is also amazing—just a 3-minute walk to the attractions, making travel incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were exceptionally welcoming and even recommended a local gem for breakfast buns—delicious and affordable. Overall, a perfect experience, incredibly high value, a true hidden gem—I'll definitely choose this place again next time!"

Qufu Fuzi Confucian Cultural Hotel

"Qufu was one of our favourite places and so was this interesting hotel! Right opposite the city wall and near the gate for the changing of the guard and lightshow, and of course the famous Confucius temple and mansion. The hotel seems all dedicated to promote the ancient values and arts, the villas are exciting to explore and the furnishings are gorgeous, full of details, at the same time clearly designed to be high quality accommodation, and extremely spacious. Also the restaurant is a delight and breakfast a real treat. Our stay was a highlight in so many ways, not least thanks to the friendly and passionate staff, thanks a lot!"

I will recommend many friends to come and play! Thank you!"

Nishan Luyuan Hotel Hotels in Qufu

Nishan Luyuan Hotel

"Luyuan Village actually comprises five different hotels, and this one, Renshanli, is the largest and most expensive. I highly recommend staying here; it even comes with its own private courtyard. Luyuan Village is beautiful, but after watching the fireworks at Nishan Sacred Land, all the evening events in Luyuan Village were already over. Staying an extra day didn't seem necessary, which was a bit of a shame."

Qufu International Youth Hostel

"The location was exactly as described. Quite central between the temple area and cemetery. I felt like being the only guest! The restaurant and bar didn't seem to be open. Staff is very helpful, but English isn't spoken. Everything worked out well with the translator. The room was clean and perfect for my stay."

Jinjiang Hotel (Qufu's Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and Kong Family Mansion) Hotels in Qufu

Jinjiang Hotel (Qufu's Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and Kong Family Mansion)

"The service was excellent and welcoming. The front desk lady was very nice. The hotel is newly renovated, and the rooms are very modern, with amenities like smart toilets and automatic curtains. However, the rooms are at the end of the corridor, so they can be a bit noisy on rainy nights. The awning outside the window makes quite a noise. The price increase during the National Day holiday wasn't too significant, so overall it was a good stay. It's also convenient for visiting the Confucius Temple and other attractions. Arriving by car is also very convenient, and parking is free."

Manting Garden Hotel, Qufu Three Confucian Sites Scenic Area ★★★★
"The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to the Confucius Temple. It's incredibly convenient for catching the gate-opening ceremony in the morning and the light show at night, making it perfect for sightseeing and a pleasant stay. "Just a short walk to Kong Temple and Kong Mansion. Hotel was in a place boxed in by other building. My room looks out to another building just about 10M away. Room itself was still comfortable enough. Breakfast is ok. Reception staff was polite and greet every time we walk in or out"

Shangri-La Hotel Qufu ★★★★★
"Staying with my child during the Chinese New Year was an absolute delight – this is definitely the top choice for families! Even during the peak Chinese New Year travel season, the overall experience was excellent and well-maintained. The service was impeccable, everything was orderly, and breakfast was completely stress-free, making our trip incredibly reassuring. The hotel's central location is perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the Three Confucius Sites. Surrounding it are plenty of malls and restaurants, making shopping, dining, and getting around incredibly convenient. The Xiang Palace Restaurant comes highly recommended. As a must-try restaurant on many lists, it's the go-to spot in the area for authentic Kong Family Cuisine. The ambiance is elegant, and both the service and the dishes are exceptional, making for a fantastic dining experience. The breakfast area even has a small kids' play area, which is great for families with children. Plus, there's a quiet little courtyard at the back of the hotel, perfect for a stroll with the little ones anytime. The swimming pool was also excellent; even during Chinese New Year, it wasn't crowded. It's spacious with few people, and also features a steam room and hot tubs, making it very comfortable overall. The gym is also large and well-equipped. Even if you don't go out sightseeing, you can easily spend your time enjoying the hotel's amenities. The only minor drawback was that there were too few staff at the front desk, so there was a bit of a wait during check-in. Overall, with its prime location, reliable service, excellent dining, comprehensive family-friendly facilities, and complete recreational amenities, this is undoubtedly the best hotel for families traveling to Qufu with children."

JW Marriott Hotel Qufu ★★★★★
"The hotel has a predominantly Chinese resort-style vibe, and I'd give top marks for its location, facilities, amenities, and service. Most importantly, the hotel's atmosphere is fantastic. The hotel is just a wall away from the Three Confucius Sites scenic area, but compared to the uninspired tick-the-box sightseeing, a staycation at QuFu JW Marriott completely blows it out of the water. Before coming, I checked some online reviews, and some mentioned the hotel's hardware was subpar. I actually think that's a bit unfair. Firstly, the room's layout is excellent, giving a very well-designed feel. The bathroom features Kohler fixtures, and for a hotel opened in 2019, it even has a Kohler automatic toilet. My only two minor criticisms are that the night light isn't very bright, and the water temperature fluctuates during showers. The hotel's soft furnishings are also very interesting, with many books of ancient Chinese poetry (Shijing) in seal script and bamboo carvings. The decor is very Qufu-esque, incorporating many local elements, which is truly wonderful. Regarding amenities, I tried the hotel's Chinese restaurant and the barbecue restaurant. Both offer great value for money, and the service quality is excellent, with the dishes receiving top marks. At the Chinese restaurant, I recommend the stir-fried shrimp with cabbage, and at the barbecue restaurant, the pork belly skewers. The Chinese restaurant's decor also has a very Confucian feel, and the barbecue restaurant even has a live singer, making the atmosphere truly superb. As for breakfast, guest services actually provided a complimentary one, but they stop serving at 10 AM, and I only woke up at 10:01 AM... This is probably my only minor regret, but it's not a big deal and gives me something to look forward to for my next visit! Here's a small suggestion: for a resort hotel, breakfast should ideally be served until at least 10:30 AM. In terms of guest services, both the concierge and the WeChat butler were excellent, with very prompt responses to requests. I'm very grateful for them making me feel right at home. The welcome fruit delivered in the evening was ginseng fruit, and although there wasn't a huge variety, it was unique and tasted particularly good. Finally, a huge thank you to: the manager of the Chinese restaurant (I actually gave a small suggestion regarding the food presentation, and because of their excellent service attitude, despite a minor issue, they even sent me a fruit platter – truly embodying Qufu hospitality's humble approach), Sun Na and Zhang Xue from housekeeping, and Xiao Yuan and Xiao Gao from guest relations. Thank you all for providing me with such a 'home away from home' experience."

JI Hotel (Qufu's Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and Kong Family Mansion, Confucius Temple) ★★★★
"A truly satisfying hotel stay. The hotel was lovely, and the room was large and clean. The service was also exceptionally good. We were always in a rush to head out each day, so I forgot to take photos of the room, but it was very spacious. Despite being on the ground floor, it wasn't damp or musty, and there were no strange odors. Our family of four slept very comfortably on the two large beds. The value for money was excellent. Its location right next to the scenic area made getting around incredibly convenient. Highly recommend!"

"This is a fantastic hotel. They called me a day in advance to confirm my check-in time and informed me it was a windowless room. Upon arrival, they immediately upgraded me to a room with a window for free and even gave me a fruit basket and a small gift. The hotel is full of delightful surprises: the fifth-floor terrace offers a distant view of the Wanren Palace Gate and the night scenery of Qufu, there are tea tables and small snacks outside the elevator lobby, books on the bedside table in the room, and various green plant decorations. The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with excellent, comfortable hot water. The breakfast was rich and delicious. The hotel is also very close to the Three Confucius sites, just a five-minute walk. I especially want to commend the young lady at the front desk; she was enthusiastic and provided excellent service. Not only did she help us find a parking space, but she also warmly introduced us to local attractions and delicious food."
