"Halfway through the year, I still want to give this hotel my worst review of the year. 1. I booked a loft king room, but the air conditioner controller was downstairs, and the bed was upstairs. I tried to sleep with the air conditioner on at 1:30 AM, and it was as loud as a tractor. I had to go downstairs to turn it off. After several trips, I still couldn't sleep. 2. I told the front desk they could arrange a lower-priced room, and they sent security to take me there. The first thing the old man said was, "What's wrong?" I was furious. I had to patiently explain for ages. 3. After being moved to a lower-priced room, the front desk didn't arrange a refund. They didn't even offer a word of concern when we met in the morning. I even reminded them to get the air conditioner fixed and install a remote control for the upstairs room, otherwise it would be unbearable. 4. I borrowed an umbrella when I checked out, and when I returned, one corner of the fabric was frayed. The front desk girl politely asked if it was like that when I left. I said I couldn't remember, but I noticed it when I came back and hoped they could sew it up. The girl turned away and sighed twice. 5. After returning my umbrella, I sat down to rest for ten minutes near the front desk, completely soaked. The three women and one man at the front desk didn't offer any concern or a cup of hot water. One of the women simply made herself a cup of green tea and enjoyed it. I was utterly disheartened. 6. I've never given a hotel such a serious negative review. This hotel's facilities and service are so bad; they seem to have complete control over their customers, leaving them with no recourse. They should learn from Atour Hotel; at least they ask a few more questions and offer a bottle of water after guests leave."

"The room is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The hotel is within the old town and walking distance to all the scenic spots and temples. When we checked out, they gave each of us the Analects of Confucius and a bamboo bookmark which was very memorable and meaningful."

Lavande Hotel (Qufu Sankong Scenic Area)

"🏢 : The outside is a bit old but the reception place is bright and clear, easy to get around. 🏙️ : the location is absolutely amazing, very near to all that should be visited in QuFu 🚬 : although public areas are smoking free, it smelled terribly bad cigarettes. Even inside my room, it smelled strong odor of tobacco which was unpleasant. 🧹 : cleanliness is average and could be improved as I found some ashes and one or two peels of sunflower seeds. 🥞 Breakfast served is Chinese cuisine, very rich and delicious. Very much liked it ! Nice music during shower time which is put automatically. Good quality bed, very enjoyable sleep. Overall nice service from people working there."

"This hotel's location is truly unbeatable. It's practically right next to the Confucius Temple, just a short walk to the scenic area, making it super convenient for exploring the Three Confucian Sites. The room was also very clean and comfortable, and the price was quite affordable. I might have accidentally torn a big hole in the bedsheet while I was sleeping, but the owner was incredibly understanding and simply said it was fine and I didn't need to pay for it. They were truly genuine and kind. When you're traveling, it's really heartwarming to encounter such reasonable and accommodating hosts. I was very satisfied with my stay this time, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Qufu!"

"If you're visiting the Three Confucius Sites, this hostel is really in a prime location. It's affordable, and the owner is very friendly. The only minor issue is that the dorm beds don't have curtains, so there's a bit less privacy, but it's not a big deal!"
