"This was the second hotel we stayed at on our birdwatching trip in Menglun. It was originally a backup plan because we booked the Wanglian Hotel late, but after staying there, we found it to be a hidden gem. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the west gate of the botanical garden and the suspension bridge, which is very convenient. We walked there from the botanical garden.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were immediately greeted by warm service. The landlady was incredibly welcoming, and there were complimentary candies, snacks, and fruits for guests to enjoy while they waited – a very thoughtful touch. After check-in, you can add the service WeChat account to let them know the breakfast time and location, nearby restaurants, and the Wi-Fi password. The service response time is also very fast; my room had a problem with the TV's internet connection, and it was resolved within 10 minutes. I think that's impressive for the town.
The hotel facilities are relatively new, with a mahogany interior and ethnic style. The facilities are quite complete, and surprisingly, it even has a small gym – great! It's nice to get some exercise after a long day. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's sufficient. If you don't want to eat breakfast there, there are many snack shops and night markets nearby. For example, there are many Dai-style restaurants in the village within a 500-meter walk of the hotel, offering authentic local flavors that are worth trying. The hotel has a relatively large parking lot, making it convenient for tourists arriving by car. A small gift is given upon check-out, which is also a nice touch.
Overall, we stayed here for two nights, and our biggest impression was how incredibly welcoming the owner was. We were always ready to chat and provided a lot of information. If you're not particularly keen on the botanical garden night tour, this is a very good value accommodation in Menglun."

The hotel also offered daily lantern-floating activities, and there were plenty of engaging activities for kids. On top of that, the complimentary travel photoshoot was fantastic! We got some amazing shots right on the hotel grounds. The makeup artist, photographer, and photo selector were all very professional, and the package price was reasonable, leaving us with wonderful memories from our trip. I have to especially commend the hotel's SPA! It was so incredibly relaxing, it felt like I was back in Thailand for a second! The therapists had expert techniques, and the products are supposedly made with ingredients imported from Thailand. I even bought some facial products after my session – a truly unforgettable experience! The riverside infinity pool is another highlight of the hotel, and our child absolutely loved it!"

"This was the first hotel we stayed at after arriving in Xishuangbanna. The environment was very quiet and the greenery was beautiful. It's a pity we arrived late at night and had to leave the next morning; my family said we should have come earlier to visit the local markets, see the Buddhist temples, and go rafting. There were some small flying insects in the wooden villas, but in a tropical rainforest area near a river, I think it's quite normal and acceptable. If you can't accept this, I suggest not coming to Mengla; this place is all about returning to nature. So I don't quite understand people who give negative reviews about small flying insects; these insects fly in the air, they're not crawling on the bed. The hotel breakfast included local specialty rice noodles, which were delicious."

GGuest UserI had planned to go to Banna for a few days during the Spring Festival. When I booked a hotel on Ctrip, I found that the room rates had doubled. The 7 Days Inn chain, which usually costs only over 100 yuan, also soared to over 1,000 yuan a night (the people of Banna want to make back the money they didn't make in three years in 7 days). What I hate most is these places that rip off customers like crazy during holidays. So I decided to change my plan and go to Luang Prabang, Laos. Since it is not possible to buy D87 transit train tickets during the Spring Festival, you can only buy tickets in sections, first Kunming-Mohan, then cross the border in Mohan to Boten, Laos, and then Boten-Luang Prabang. I took the train to Mohan on February 13th and booked this homestay on Ctrip. It has a high score of 4.8 on Ctrip, so it must be good. I contacted the hotel before arriving in Mohan, and the hotel guy said that he would pick me up at the train station and send me to the border the next day. Sure enough, as soon as I got out of the station, the young man was waiting on the road in front of the train station. After checking in, I was amazed by the intelligence of the hotel, including smart curtains, smart toilets, and showers with digital temperature display. The room was spacious and tidy, and the bedding was clean and fresh. Although I have stayed in many B&Bs, this one is definitely the ceiling among B&Bs. Moreover, the guy is very handsome, and I’m worried that the girl will continue to stay! The only regret is that the hotel does not have breakfast, it would be perfect if there was breakfast.

Hotel location is very good, located in the new district, nearby are all beautiful single-family buildings, there are several hotels, there are few people and cars, very quiet. Behind the hotel is the Nanla River. In the evening, you can take a walk along the river and walk to the Star Night Market. The hotel went out and turned left. It took about ten minutes to walk along the road. There was a rice noodle shop that was very delicious for many years. It is very convenient to take a taxi to other places for ten yuan.
The hotel staff are also very good, warm and friendly. In short, stayed for three nights very comfortable and very recommended.

SStanley The Travel ManThe hotel is closed to the bus station . It is also close to the hotel where you can take a direct bus to 望天𣗳. The food option is quite limited. The area appears dead. It is better to stay near the night market which is about 3 km away . That area is livelier and full of activities.
The hotel offers no breakfast which is a negative for me. The room is pretty basic. There is a low cocktail that you can’t use it as a table to have a meal.
There is not much to do in Mengle without a car. i checked out 1 day earlier because I think 2 nights is more than enough for a sleepy town.
The staff is helpful though . They offered good information about 望天樹.
The room is clean.I don’t remember if it offers any tea but definitely no coffee.
Overall, for the price that it charges, I don’t have a lot of complaints.

Breakfast is very rich, with a good variety of 'Western' style food, and the rice noodles are fragrant and delicious. The restaurant staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. The hygiene is clean and tidy, and the room service is prompt. I'd suggest more training for the front desk staff; it takes a long time to get information from them, and their answers often beat around the bush and miss the main point, making communication a bit difficult. The shuttle service is very convenient; a quick phone call in advance and they'll pick you up promptly.

Next, the front desk service was exceptional. Upon our arrival, the hotel owner personally helped us with our luggage, and the front desk staff were very professional. The check-in process was smooth and seamless.
The breakfast was quite good too. For a hotel located near the botanical garden, it offered a surprisingly substantial spread.
Finally, we mistakenly booked a room without a window. When we inquired about switching rooms, the hotel generously offered us a complimentary upgrade.
Overall, if you're planning a trip to the botanical garden and intend to stay overnight, this hotel is definitely worth considering.

The opposite is the garrison, next to the police station, the boss sleeps in the living room, very responsible, so that the guests feel safe; I have stayed twice, and the boss personally picks up the station and sends it off. The bed is soft and warm, and you can sleep well all night; the independent bathroom is clean and tidy, hot water is available at any time, and the supplies are exquisite and complete.
The most intoxicating thing is the surrounding environment. In the morning, you are awakened by the crisp bird song. When you open the door, fresh air with the fragrance of plants and trees hits you in the face. Strolling along the rainforest trail, you can see lush greenery, encounter rare plants and smart small animals, which is fun.
The service is even more heartwarming. The staff is enthusiastic.
