GGuest UserThis hotel in Mengla is a real hidden gem! The location is fantastic, and I love the minimalist yet stylish decor. It's fully equipped with smart facilities, and everything is super clean. Even the toiletries are from premium brands – they really pay attention to the details. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was drawn to the beautiful tea room. Before I even checked in, the owner warmly invited us to have some tea. The owner is incredibly kind; while we were drinking tea, they gave us recommendations for local food, where to go, and how to get around. They were so enthusiastic and thoughtful throughout. Staying at this hotel in Mengla is absolutely worth it, and I've already been raving about it to all my friends!

MM247991****This was probably the biggest surprise of our Yunnan trip – we stumbled upon this village by accident. For city dwellers like us, it felt like a paradise. From an extremely impoverished village to one where everyone has an income, the villagers said it was Professor Li Xiaoyun's team (I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling) who helped the village generate tourism revenue. We booked a three-bedroom room for 1730 yuan a night. It was the second day of the ***** New Year, so that's understandable, but seeing in the reviews that it was a poverty alleviation project, we immediately placed the order. Since we were going to book a guesthouse anyway, it wouldn't hurt to do something good. Driving from the Wangtianshu Scenic Area, there's only one road into the village, and the winding roads scared me half to death! Definitely check in during the day! The one-way street makes passing difficult, especially since we were in a campervan. When we arrived, we were truly shocked. It was a village with only one small shop. To be honest, that might not be accurate; there were no restaurants, no milk tea shops, no convenience stores, no coffee shops – absolutely no commercial establishments. Honestly, I was a little shocked because I didn't expect such a pristine, authentic village. Each guest room was in a different family's home. The village has over 60 households and more than 200 people. You can pay the family you're staying at to have their meals prepared, using vegetables they grow themselves and pigs and chickens they raise themselves. I haven't written this review yet because I really wanted to sit down and write a proper review. If my initial impression of the village was surprise, astonishment, and a little regret, then afterwards it was pure joy, delight, and regret for arriving too late. In the evening, I watched the village girls dancing on the basketball court. The owner of the house I stayed at, Brother Deng, was born in 1984. My husband and father ate and drank with him, and he even took my father and husband to visit other villagers. Everyone in the village was simple, honest, and warm-hearted. Although I couldn't understand their dialect, I could feel everyone's kindness and welcome. Even though the rooms weren't very soundproof—after all, it's a wooden village, part of the Yao culture—it was very clean. You could tell they were putting effort into making this a good tourist destination. I hope Hebian Village continues to thrive. See you next time! If you're willing to put down your phone and experience nature, to escape the city and enjoy a day of simplicity, believe me, it's worth the trip, unforgettable, and truly a return to nature. This special trip perfectly embodies that feeling.

TTakemeeverywhereIt was a perfect stop before passing the border of Lao. The employees are great and helpful. They could even provide us with some cash to be able to pay our visa at the border.
The breakfast buffet was delicious, they even made something special for us as they thought we don't like chinese breakfast.
The room was beautiful and very clean with a very nice view on a lushy green scenery. The bed was very confortable. They had already turn on the AC before we enter the room, that shows such a good service. There is a very good restauraurant ”Jinsong...” just 5 min walk on the main road.

GGuest UserThis hotel was amazing. It’s only a year old but the amenities look like it’s brand new and inside of the room seems no different from a five-star. The only thing missing was a bathroom scale. Nice courtyard pool below just big enough to do some short laps and a kilometer from the night market. Interesting little area and they have street side eatery outside with a good view. The best part though is the manager Mr. Wu was exceptionally helpful. When he saw me arriving by bicycle, he did everything he could to make my stay more pleasant and even offered to go the extra mile with extra service and help. An unbelievable bargain, and a nice end to my journey.

GGuest UserMy child and I took a private car from Jinghong city to Wild Elephant Valley on the 28th, then checked into Anantara. Anantara, in my mind, is the pinnacle of domestic resorts, synonymous with 'wild luxury,' beautiful surroundings, and excellent service. The latter two, Anantara certainly delivered on. The lobby is grand, and when we first entered the room, it didn't feel dated at all. Lush greenery filled the view from the window – a plant lover's dream! Outside the balcony was a large garden. On the first day, I spent the entire afternoon intently watching trees and birds, spotting red-whiskered bulbuls, oriental magpie-robins, sooty-headed bulbuls, blue-throated barbets, and sunbirds. I saw various fruit-bearing trees, including coconuts and legumes. Even the large bathtub in the bathroom had a view of extensive greenery.
We attended the evening ritual and released water lanterns.
The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and even showed us photos she took of a large gecko.
The restaurant staff and kids' club team remembered us staying for several days. They gave us small gifts and fulfilled our request for pineapple fried rice.
The complimentary travel photoshoot was excellent, capturing some truly memorable 'life photos.'
Every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly.
The two resident musicians from Malaysia, who performed in the lobby bar in the afternoon and by the restaurant entrance in the evening, were absolutely superb and a definite highlight of our trip.
There were some drawbacks, however. The housekeeping staff throughout the resort was noticeably insufficient. We returned to our room at 1:30 PM, and it still hadn't been cleaned. This was the only time we didn't call for housekeeping, and thinking about it, it's probably a good thing we didn't, as the service speed likely wouldn't have kept up.
Perhaps it was due to the off-season before the May Day holiday, but there seemed to be fewer staff in the hotel's public areas.
The children's activities were almost identical every day and mostly concentrated in the mornings, which was a shame as we spent every morning at the botanical garden.
Lastly, the price. It's an hour from Jinghong city, in an area where local guesthouses cost around 100 RMB per person. Yet, the hotel's calendar rate was as high as 2000 RMB. Locals definitely wouldn't go; it only attracts those who come for its reputation. The restaurant food was good, with generous portions, but the prices felt like they were converted from US dollars. We ate four meals at Anantara and spent 1000 RMB. Well, no more talk, I'm off to earn more money!

RrightearI went there around the Spring Festival, planning to visit Wangtianshu Temple and then take the high-speed rail to Kunming. This hotel was surprisingly the best I'd booked on this trip. The location was also great. The room was very modern. There were plenty of things to do nearby. There was free drop-off at the station, and the staff helped me call a Didi taxi, which was quite convenient.

Next, the front desk service was exceptional. Upon our arrival, the hotel owner personally helped us with our luggage, and the front desk staff were very professional. The check-in process was smooth and seamless.
The breakfast was quite good too. For a hotel located near the botanical garden, it offered a surprisingly substantial spread.
Finally, we mistakenly booked a room without a window. When we inquired about switching rooms, the hotel generously offered us a complimentary upgrade.
Overall, if you're planning a trip to the botanical garden and intend to stay overnight, this hotel is definitely worth considering.

JjiazufengMy stay here was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, truly like sleeping on a cloud. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Check-in was swift, and they even thoughtfully recommended some great local eateries. The location is also superb, making it very convenient for getting around. I'll definitely be choosing this place again!
The ambiance was elegant, the room decor felt very cozy, and all the facilities were top-notch. The breakfast spread offered a wide variety to satisfy all tastes. Overall, it was excellent value for money.

As soon as you step into the triangular house, the unique shape is eye-catching. The wooden structure is matched with large glass windows, which complement the surrounding rainforest. The sunlight shines in, and the light and shadow are mottled, which is beautiful. The facilities in the house are far beyond expectations. The bed is soft and warm, and you can sleep well all night; the independent bathroom is clean and tidy, hot water is available at any time, and the supplies are exquisite and complete.
The most intoxicating thing is the surrounding environment. In the morning, you are awakened by the crisp bird song. When you open the door, fresh air with the fragrance of plants and trees hits you in the face. Strolling along the rainforest trail, you can see lush greenery, encounter rare plants and smart small animals, which is fun.
The service is even more heartwarming. The staff is enthusiastic. They will introduce the gameplay in detail when you check in, provide help at any time during the tour, and carefully prepare rainforest specialties. You can also enjoy the gluttony on your tongue. Here, people and nature blend together, and fatigue is swept away. I sincerely recommend it to all friends who yearn for nature. Come here to start a spiritual journey!
