They only provide a private message with a price list (80 yuan per photo, 150 yuan for a retouched one – roughly these prices, as only one friend received the price list) after a guest inquires. This means they snap a hundred photos for your family, and it could cost 10,000 yuan. Of course, this is under the premise of voluntary purchase. But this is essentially price gouging. The hotel uses its resources to attract consumers for a free experience, then uses opaque pricing to charge high fees after the photo shoot is completed. This is a typical case of luring with low prices and settling with high prices, which is clearly regulated by relevant laws and regulations. I discussed it with the photography team on the spot and only received an apology, promising to rectify it. The next morning, we hired a guide and toured the different areas of the West Section. All in all, choosing to stay at the botanical garden hotel made this trip incredibly rewarding.
