"We stayed at the hotel for 6 days. The location is excellent, right in the center of the resort area, with all the cafes, currency exchange offices, and massage parlors within walking distance on both sides of the hotel. We booked a deluxe room; there were only five rooms left at the time, so there wasn't much to choose from. Our room (gloomy, dark, poorly lit, and generally oppressive) was in the building next to the Anam Hotel, meaning we had windows facing each other. We refused the first two rooms there (one was on the ground floor and the bathroom was partially open-air, meaning all living creatures would be getting into the room) and the smell of sewage was quite noticeable. We were taken to a second-floor room without a balcony, but we refused again. Then they suggested we take a walk and wait until 2:00 PM for another room to become available. As an upgrade, we were offered early check-in. We went for a walk... We thought we'd lie by the pool under an umbrella. But no, there wasn't a single free sun lounger! About 10 people were sunbathing, the rest were just occupied by towels... The beach staff doesn't monitor the sunbeds, which are empty for half the day. Towels are provided right by the pool, so you don't have to lug them from your room to the beach. You can get them in any quantity, and you have to sign up for the room you're staying in. Very convenient. The food is very varied, with a wide selection. The national pho bo soup is a rare sham, with ham and sausages, runny, and no beef. Six kinds of fruit, delicious croissants, and yogurts.
The pool is perfectly clean and beautiful, and the grounds are very green and well-maintained. If it weren't for the room and the search for sunbeds on the beach, I would have been very happy with my vacation."
