"Newly renovated hotel with spacious rooms and nice river view. Japanese and western style daily buffet breakfast included. There's also a public bath, coin laundry, fitness room and free parking for hotel guests. Excellent location as it's near the train station. The only thing is they blocked the smart TV features so I couldn't watch YouTube, Netflix etc. Hotel staff are nice and offered to change rooms for our friends. I'd definitely come back to this hotel if I visit Kitakami again!"

"The hotel is on the right hand side of the JR station, just a 2-minute walk away. It is an older style hotel. After checking in, you can pick up bath supplies including facial cleanser, lotion and bath detergent at the front desk. The hotel has a washing machine and dryer. Buying laundry detergent at the front desk is the most convenient place for me. The breakfast was nothing short of good and quite satisfactory. What’s worth staying at is that the hotel is opposite the Kitakami National Park. The cherry blossom season is super beautiful, but the cherry blossoms had already faded when I went there in mid-May. I recommend staying at this hotel if you want to see the cherry blossoms."

"Good points: The staff are polite. Free curry rice at night. You can take as many amenities as you like. Bad points: The walls are thin, and you can hear voices, coughs, and sounds of daily life like hair dryers from the next room. The worst is snoring. If you get unlucky with the next room, you won't be able to sleep at night."

"I've stayed here several times, and it's definitely worth a repeat stay. If you're visiting Kitakami, definitely consider this hotel. The biggest draw is the rooftop bath. It has an open-air bath, sauna, cold water bath, and even a massage chair. I stayed in a twin room, but I used the bed as storage, which was convenient. Unlike business hotels, it doesn't have a unit bath or toilet, which I personally really like. I don't use the bus because I use the open-air bath, but I'm happy that the toilet is regular size. I think many people would appreciate it. It's not within walking distance of the station, but they do provide transportation."
