This all-female hostel I stayed at was generally good. Being an all-girls hostel, it was very quiet at night. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was just the right firmness, and the curtains provided excellent blackout for privacy. The bathroom had good water pressure and was well-maintained. Overall, it felt safe, clean, and had a nice atmosphere. It's great value for money, making it an excellent choice for travelers or those needing long-term accommodation on a limited budget. I'd definitely choose this place again if I need a hostel; it's a safe bet.

I had a nice stay here. The facilities were comparatively clean compared to other budget hotels in this region of the world. It is a bit hard to find though, I think this needs to be made clear to future guests. The hotel is BEHIND the storefront in the photo, you must go through the gate to the right of this spa. I would recommend this establishment to women visiting Chengdu on a budget.

The hygiene is exceptional; all areas are clean and tidy, with no strange odors or dirty corners, making us feel very comfortable and at ease. The environment is quiet and comfortable, with a great overall atmosphere and a well-planned layout. It feels very pleasant whether you're here to relax or for business. The service attitude is both warm and professional. The staff are very responsive and quickly resolve any issues, providing an excellent experience. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to everyone, and I will definitely choose this place again in the future if needed.

This hostel's environment is exactly as good as the reviews say, no difference at all. On the first floor, there are several tables, offering spaces for relaxing and working, plus a large table that can be used as a dining area. You can order takeout and eat it there freely. There are drying racks on the first and third floors for clothes. Rooms also have air conditioning, but no toiletries are provided. You need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste for the dorm beds, or you can buy them at the front desk or a nearby convenience store (there's a 24-hour supermarket right across the street). The front desk service at this hostel was also excellent. I stayed for three days, and on my last day, I checked out an hour late, and the front desk didn't say a word. I'll definitely choose this hostel again next time I come to Chengdu!

Good location: local market with cheap fruits nearby, many local food, quite close to metro. Big and comfortable beds with curtains. Everything is fresh and clean. Spacious rooftop. No towel is provided.

The hostel was in a great location, near the metro and chunxi road. The bed was comfortable and you have a locker that you can unlock with your room key. However, the bathrooms were FILTHY. I stayed for 4 nights and every day and every night it was dirty ( counter full of things, old toothpaste tubes, wate splashed everywhere), toilets with overflowing bins ( squat toilets only) and smelly... Was cheap so can't complain too much but probably wouldn't stay here again. Seems to be mostly a chinese crowd who stays there long term as I was the only foreigner there my whole stay.

I chose this hostel for my trip to Chengdu, and my stay far exceeded my expectations. The location is truly unbeatable. It's very close to the metro station, within walking distance, making it super convenient to get to Wenshu Monastery and all the major city attractions. Getting around was a breeze, and it's great value for money. I had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and tidy, and the overall environment was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a good rest after a long day of exploring. The amenities were also very thoughtful, with a laundry room and a gym, which was incredibly practical for washing clothes and getting some exercise during my trip. The biggest surprise was the public area on the ground floor. By day, it's a quiet cafe, and by night, it transforms into a bar with a fantastic atmosphere. There are even live singers performing in the evenings – the 'cafe by day, bar by night' concept was right up my alley. Sitting down to listen to music and have a drink melted away a lot of my travel fatigue. I also met many travelers from different places here, including quite a few international guests. Everyone chatted about their travel experiences, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Overall, my experience was fantastic. It's suitable for both solo travelers and those with friends. I honestly recommend it to anyone visiting Chengdu.

I stayed at Chengdu XiangPi Inn for one night (April 14–15, 2026) and booked a bed in the 6-person male-only shared room. Overall, it was a solid budget-friendly option, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what you’re looking for. The biggest plus is definitely the price—you get exactly what you pay for, and for a short stay it does the job. The room itself was fairly basic but functional. The bed was decent enough for one night, and the space didn’t feel overly cramped despite having multiple occupants. That said, privacy is minimal, as expected in a shared dorm setup. Cleanliness was okay, though not perfect. The shared bathroom was usable but could have been maintained a bit better, especially during busier hours. If you’re particular about hygiene, this is something to keep in mind. The atmosphere was quiet enough when I stayed, and most guests were respectful, which made it easier to rest. Staff interactions were limited but smooth—check-in and check-out were straightforward without any issues. Overall, Chengdu XiangPi Inn is a practical choice if you’re traveling on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep for a night or two. It’s not luxurious, but it’s functional and reasonably comfortable for short stays.

The hostel is in a great location but it looks nothing like in the pictures, there is just one bathroom in the whole hostel and is very dirty so shower is not enjoyable. The room doesn't have a window so there is no ventilation.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel in Chengdu. The location was convenient for getting around, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and I met some interesting people. There were no unnecessary hassles, making the whole trip enjoyable and relaxing. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Chengdu.
