Perfect location in the centre near to lots of shops and restaurants. room was spacious, clean and had all the facilities you could need. The best part was the kindness of the staff, who helped me a lot with anything I needed. I really enjoyed my stay - amazing place and a warm welcome to Chengdu, I felt very at home. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I visit Chengdu!

GGuest User1. Located just a few hundred meters to the right of Chengdu East Railway Station exit, this place is perfect for catching trains, for example, if you're heading to the Leshan Giant Buddha.
2. It's clean and tidy with a pleasant environment. You can do laundry, and they provide detergent, dish soap, hand soap, etc.
3. There's a dedicated dining lounge, and plenty of hot water for drinking and showering. They also have a special area for hanging clothes.
4. The room is quite spacious; the 8-person dorm had no problem accommodating all our luggage.
5. You change your own bedding (sheets, duvet cover, pillowcase) which is replaced for each guest. The bed is quite comfortable, and the bedside charging and night light are convenient. The curtains provide good privacy and block out light effectively.

RRahnosPositive: Cool Hostel in a great location, near the river, not far from Metro stations, lots of food options, and places to drink tea. Several floors, with lots of toilets and shower facilities.
Very friendly and helpful staff, thanks to Helena especially.
Negative: The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, and I guess there were a couple of people smoking (the top floor rooms open out onto a central balcony) a lot by my window, so i kept getting the smoke.

AAnonymous UserThe emplacement is rather nice, it's in a narrow street that allows for a more peaceful environment. If you want to call taxis though, they won't get in, you will have to walk to the bigger road (very close by)
To get to the reception, you will have to climb stairs.
If you get a room with shared toilets, just be sure you can handle squat toilets.
The walls are rather thin but earplugs are being provided.
The shared shower area only has heads that can't be moved from the wall.
The shared room has thin mattresses, if you can't handle it, I would recommend a private room instead. If the room is full of luggage, it's possible to put some under the bed.

FFeitianlanpangziFound a hidden gem of a hostel in Chengdu, seriously didn't want to leave! The vibe here is amazing. The first floor is a retro-style bar with warm lighting and wooden decor – perfect for photos. In the evenings, there's chilled-out music, making it a great spot to grab a drink and chat. The atmosphere is just fantastic.
Big shout-out to how clean it is! Whether it's the dorms or private rooms, everything is super spotless. The bedding is soft and cozy, and the bathrooms have separate wet and dry areas. There were no water stains or odors on the sinks or floors, completely unlike the typical messy hostel experience. It was incredibly comfortable to stay in.
What's most interesting is how many foreign guests there are! People from all over the world are really friendly. In the common areas, you'll see everyone chatting, drinking coffee, and having a few drinks together. It has such an international social feel. Traveling solo here isn't lonely at all; you get to meet so many interesting people.

NNadia D.I enjoyed so much this hostel that i extended my staying. Good position close to the metro (4) station. In the nearby a lot of different possibilities for street food and supermarket (just across the street). Bed comfortable and clean with bed plague and light. No street noise. Numerous toilets and showers with all kind of needs: soap, shampoo, hairdryer and even hand laundry soap. Hot running water. Common spaces are plenty and cozy in the inside and in the beautiful patio on the outside. Top note for all the staff: friendly, gentle, smiley and helpful with sufficient English spoken.
I spent a pleasant time here.

GGuest UserI stayed at Chengdu XiangPi Inn for one night (April 14–15, 2026) and booked a bed in the 6-person male-only shared room. Overall, it was a solid budget-friendly option, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what you’re looking for.
The biggest plus is definitely the price—you get exactly what you pay for, and for a short stay it does the job. The room itself was fairly basic but functional. The bed was decent enough for one night, and the space didn’t feel overly cramped despite having multiple occupants. That said, privacy is minimal, as expected in a shared dorm setup.
Cleanliness was okay, though not perfect. The shared bathroom was usable but could have been maintained a bit better, especially during busier hours. If you’re particular about hygiene, this is something to keep in mind.
The atmosphere was quiet enough when I stayed, and most guests were respectful, which made it easier to rest. Staff interactions were limited but smooth—check-in and check-out were straightforward without any issues.
Overall, Chengdu XiangPi Inn is a practical choice if you’re traveling on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep for a night or two. It’s not luxurious, but it’s functional and reasonably comfortable for short stays.
