Hotels with Gym and Fitness Centre in Biscay

The hotel's location was great, close to the old town and within walking distance to the museum. There were also a few supermarkets nearby, which was convenient. The room was reasonably spacious, enough to open two suitcases. The kettle and refrigerator in the room were also a big help! The breakfast selection was quite extensive, and everything was delicious! I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

Whilst the facilities of the room are good the communication is absolutely woeful. We tried for 3 days to contact the property after they sent the pre-registration email through ALL of their channels - email, Whatsapp and phone call with not one response. It came to the day of arrival and with no response we had to try via Trip.com and finally got to live chat with a person who then followed up with the hotel. Needless stress for us that could have been avoided with a simple reply. Whilst we had an enjoyable stay the public areas are very dark (the walls and ceiling are painted a very dark grey) and similarly in the bathroom of the room - seemed a very odd colour choice. Also, we could smell what others were cooking in their rooms. Finally, (not the hotels fault) but we had noisy neighbours in the room above and as the floors are timber we could here them (or their kids) making noise til 1 am. Overall, disappointed.

Rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable. Location is perfectly located to easily walk to the Guggenheim, old town and a metro stop very close by. Plenty of shops and coffee/breakfast/brunch places close by. Staff are also lovely.

The room was small for the price. The bathroom is a glass box inside the room, but the problem was there was no ventilation, and after a shower, steam would fill the room and linger. The location is excellent in the old town (on the perimeter), overlooking the main square and the theater. Tram, bus, and subway stops are just a few steps away. Excellent in this regard. The breakfast was monotonous (you'd notice after 3 nights), and the selection was questionable for 15 euros per person. I must mention the courtesy and kindness of the staff, from the reception to the bar and breakfast team.

We had such a great time this year for Semana Grande. And the Axel Hotel was in the perfect location for us. Right on the river next to a great spot for drinks and food. The rooftop pool is also a great spot to watch the fireworks! The staff was so helpful and friendly. And although we didn't need housekeeping while we were staying there they offered every day to clean our room or swap out towels or necessities for us. What a great experience. We will definitely be back!

The location is very convenient, only around a 10-minute walk from Bilbao city centre. Breakfast was excellent, with both made-to-order options and a buffet. There was also a great variety of fresh fruit. The front desk staff and breakfast team were all very friendly and welcoming. Although my room faced a residential area, it was surprisingly quiet with almost no noise at all. The room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and I had a very pleasant stay here.

Beautiful hotel, amazing facilities to work from, one of the best gyms that I’ve been to, it would have been so much more seamless if parking, gym etc were included in the price. Especially if the pool provided by the gym is not available, not having to pay for the gym one would make more sense

Choose the hotel for its proximity to the Intermodal bus interchange. We walked to all the main tourist attractions from the hotel. Bilbao is a very walkable city. What sets this hotel apart is the friendliness of the staff. The front counter team is genuinely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Noemi who went out of her way to help us and gave advice on airline lost luggage. The room is spacious for our needs. The king bed is super comfortable, with just the right firmness. Linen is plush and pillows are fluffy. It has a simple yet functional tea-making facility in the room. The room came with USB charger by bedside, which is essential for today's travellers. We love the bathroom. Well-lit, full-size shower with strong water pressure. You will find the basic amenities (Toothbrush etc) in the bathroom. The cleaner did a good job with the room. The hall and public areas are all spotless. Judging based on the interior, the hotel might have been refurbished not that long ago.

I stayed in a room on the first floor this time. It was very clean and quiet at night. The front desk staff were very helpful, and you could borrow umbrellas from the reception. Breakfast was just okay, with not much variety. Parking was 20 euros a day.

Everything was perfect, especially considering it was one of the cheapest options available. The hotel offered great value for money, with clean rooms and good service. It is located a little distance from the city centre, bus station, and train station, but it was still manageable and worth it for the price. Overall, a very good stay and I would recommend it for budget travelers. ⭐👍
