This quiet and elegant guesthouse on the outskirts of Huizhou Old Town was where I spent my first night during my trip to southern Anhui. The moment I stepped inside, I felt instantly soothed; the hustle and bustle outside seemed to disappear. The room was a good size, and all the amenities I could think of were provided, and most importantly, they were very functional. The staff service deserves a huge thumbs up. The housekeeper contacted me two days in advance and was waiting at the designated location to greet me; when I checked out, they escorted me out and stayed until we got into our car; during my stay, they proactively asked if I wanted afternoon tea or bedtime milk; they answered every question politely and attentively. The service was on par with high-end hotels. The breakfast was average; it would have been even better if it had been made to order. This was something I made up for at the Xidi Boxin Yunshe guesthouse where I stayed later, where I had freshly stir-fried vegetables for breakfast. I may not return to Huizhou Old Town in the future, but I'll remember the Boxin Yunshe brand. If I travel elsewhere and happen to stay there, I'll definitely consider it.

We chose this B&B just for the ancient Huizhou architecture. The B&B is located in the ancient city, very close to Xuguo Stone Archway, Huizhou Government Office and Huizhou History Museum, and very quiet at night. The room is clean and hygienic, and the facilities are basically complete. The boss is warm and thoughtful. Because you can't take a taxi directly to the ancient city, contact in advance to inform the taxi arrival location and let the hotel service staff pick you up at the drop-off point. The drop-off point is also very close to the hotel. The boss also upgraded the courtyard room for free. The Huizhou specialty wontons and topping noodles made by the auntie for breakfast are also delicious. In short, it is a pleasant travel experience.

We brought the kids to play in the water during summer vacation. After spending two days in Jixi, we came to this guesthouse. The road up the mountain is a bit winding, and there aren't many entertainment options nearby, but it's a great choice for water activities. The owner took us to a water park about a 15-minute drive away. It was quiet and not crowded, giving us a private experience – so much fun! The owners, a husband and wife, were very nice, and their two kids weren't shy at all. We went on a weekday, and we were the only guests, so they upgraded us to a room with a view for free. The room was well-equipped, clean, and quite spacious. We'll definitely come back next year!

WOW! What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. A true authentic experience combined with an amazing guide for cycling routes and hiking in the area. I will be returning many times in the future for more mountains to climb! I recommend this place to anyone who likes to ride and enjoy a peaceful local experience. It was the perfect weekend away for the busy city of Shanghai and I met fellow travelers that were all very friendly and we shared meals together.
