Cheap Hotels in Koh Samui

"This is an exceptional place. The private pool is incredible with a dream-like view. Indeed, the villa was very good! The location isn't an issue if you're getting around by scooter, car, or Grab. The staff is a bit ”cold” compared to many other hotels we've stayed at. Unfortunately, no one asked us how our stay was going, for example. The place would benefit from having more approachable staff. Finally, the quality of the breakfast didn't convince us (be careful, after 10:05-10:10 AM, it seems there's no more refilling). Overall, an exceptional place, but the service aspect needs improvement."

"The room was very spacious and clean, with a large balcony. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of chilled sparkling wine and dessert. The front desk staff spoke Chinese and were exceptionally friendly every month. When cleaning the room, they even replaced the ice in the ice bucket. Every afternoon, small snacks were delivered. One day, I returned to a cleaned room, but I had messed up the bed. During the short time I went out for dinner, the staff who delivered snacks also tidied up the room again and re-made the bed – fantastic! The views at Silavadee Resort are truly amazing, and the pool water is exceptionally clean. As soon as we got to the pool, staff immediately brought us iced lemonade, which was a lovely touch. The hotel breakfast was fantastic, offering both Western buffet and a la carte options, and everything tasted delicious. I especially loved the a la carte lobster rolls and fried rice; the lobster rolls had large chunks of lobster meat, and I easily had at least two every day, haha. All drinks were made to order, including various coffees, teas, and other beverages. Of course, there were also fresh juices at the buffet. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from the main road, but everything else was perfect. Our child had a great time and said they want to stay at Silavadee again next time we visit Koh Samui."

"1. **Check-in** We were greeted with welcome drinks, and all the services available during our stay were thoroughly explained. After check-in, we were taken to our room by golf cart. 2. **Location** There's not much around, but they offer scooter rentals and a shuttle bus service. The shuttle bus goes to two night market areas, but it doesn't run very frequently. It was convenient for tours as the pier for ferries to Koh Tao was only about a 10-minute drive away. 3. **Room** The room was very clean and spacious, and the ocean view was absolutely stunning. The desk, closet, vanity, and refrigerator were all generously sized, making our stay completely stress-free. 4. **Bathroom** The bathroom was very clean, with excellent water pressure and temperature. Having two showerheads was very convenient, allowing two people to shower simultaneously. Amenities were also readily available by requesting them at the front desk. 5. **Facilities & Services** The hotel offers so many facilities and services that we couldn't even use them all during our stay. The gym was impressive for a hotel gym, equipped with 30kg dumbbells, a Smith machine, and 25kg/20kg plates, making it suitable for serious workouts. We had breakfast at the restaurant, which was an à la carte buffet, and every dish was delicious. We also dined there one evening; the food was excellent, and the prices were comparable to restaurants in town. The pool was under renovation for most of our stay, so we only got to use it on the last day, but it was a beautiful pool with a great atmosphere. 6. **Other** All the staff members were kind and attentive, and it felt like they effectively shared guest information among themselves. I fell ill during my stay and felt bad for inconveniencing the hotel, but the next day, every staff member I encountered asked if I was okay. I was extremely satisfied with both the facilities and services, and I would definitely love to stay here again if I visit Koh Samui in the future. I would confidently recommend this hotel to anyone I know visiting Koh Samui. The only minor drawback I could mention is the significant elevation changes within the property, which might be a bit inconvenient for those with mobility issues."

"If you are a light sleeper, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! Soundproofing does not exist. It’s not bad, it doesn’t exist. I can could hear literally everything, even guests 2 rooms away from me talking casually. Also, the planes are landing straight above your head, so if you like to sleep until 9-10am, forget about it. First plane lands around 8am. In the picture you can see the doors from inside of the room. Light from a hallway coming in from all the sides, same as sounds. Apart from not being able to sleep, hotel is decent, nice pool and nice food in a restaurant. Good location if you don’t mind the planes in the morning. Breakfast is fine, but it could br improved.Room floor was dirty, couldn’t walk barefoot. For this money I expected way better soundproofing."

"Best place to stay in koh samui Location is the best! Everything is door step,my husband was shocked how affordable the stay is! , beach is super near too, although u have to go through other people property i think We had no issue passing through. Room is spacious and modern. A bit rundown and cleanliness can be improved. But still quite clean. Daily room service and super white fresh towels and water everyday. Bed and blankets are white, thick and comfy! Receptionist are always smiling and helpful. Swimming pool area to chill and coin operated laundry and dryer machine. If you are thinking where to stay, this place is no brainer! Save lots of money on transportation. Koh samui itself is kind of big island and it is slow and costly to move around with taxi. Overall nothing to complain for the price. Just Minor cons: Hotel itself has musky smell due to.poor ventilation in room and lobby area. No breakfast 😢 I think is Thailand thing, their hotel room aren't well litted. Room lights are quite dimmed. Tip : ask for building 1 room as its nearer to entry!."

"The sea here is objectively very dirty with a silty bottom, so murky you can't even see your feet if you wade in ankle-deep. The villas are in need of renovation; the bathroom walls look like they've been smeared, not painted. The towels, especially the beach ones, are in very poor condition, and the bed linen has holes. Breakfasts are decent with a wide buffet selection. You can also have lunch and dinner at the restaurant; prices are above average, but the food is tasty. The staff are smiling and attentive. There's a good gym with a great view of the pool. The pool water is very warm, so it doesn't offer much of a cool-down. There are enough sun loungers for everyone, and plenty of tables at breakfast. The location is convenient, right next to Big C and a 5-minute walk from 7-Eleven. It's also a 10-minute walk to the Fisherman's Village, which has a wide variety of restaurants and bars."

"The hotel is just a few meters away from the beach. We had the balcony with no sea view and still got to see the ocean. It was beautiful would definitely stay here again. Although I would recommend to air out the room first as we dealt with humidity smell for the first two nights."

"Wonderful hotel! We really enjoyed everything; you feel a true connection with nature here. They have various entertainment activities scheduled at the hotel. There are many thoughtful little touches in the villa. We tried the local restaurant's cuisine and liked it, though the prices were above average. Thank you, I will recommend it!"

"Magnificent hotel! If we could move in there permanently, we'd do it without a second thought. Beautiful views, fresh renovation, incredibly welcoming staff, and delicious, varied breakfasts, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It felt like living in an episode of 'The White Lotus.' You couldn't hear the road, you couldn't hear the neighbors, and the pools were always empty and clean — a feeling of complete relaxation and luxury. We definitely recommend it!"

"Avani Chaweng Samui Hotel & Beach Club has a trendy and vibrant atmosphere, with a beautiful beachfront setting and a great location near shops and food places in Chaweng. The room was comfortable, clean, and stylish, and the overall stay felt relaxing and enjoyable. A special thank you as well for the complimentary birthday room decoration and birthday cake prepared during my stay. It was a thoughtful gesture that made my birthday feel extra memorable and heartwarming. One issue we encountered was that the iron provided was stained and unfortunately damaged my new blouse while ironing. However, I appreciated that the team tried their best to provide service recovery and assist with the situation professionally and politely. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay, and we truly enjoyed the experience at the hotel."
