"I liked the Czar Lisbon Hotel. There are several eateries and supermarkets near the hotel. I could stock up on water and other essential stuff. It is also easy to hire Uber. Burger King and pharmacy is just opposite the hotel. Hotel also provided the travel adapter upon request. Hotel has a restaurant on the same level as the reception with a wide variety of food in the menu. The toilet is nice and huge for two."

"Pros: The public area on the first basement level is huge, and the kitchen is also very large, connecting to a garden, which is lovely. Cons: There are only shared restrooms and showers. The showers are push-button style, so you have to keep pressing them. However, there are several restrooms and showers on each floor, which is quite sufficient, and I didn't have to queue. Location: There are quite a few slopes nearby; you'll need to walk uphill from the subway station. If you have a lot of luggage, I recommend taking a taxi. Cleanliness: Good, very clean."

"The hotel is a little over a kilometer downhill from the old town. While it's a bit of a distance from the main tourist attractions, both the bus and metro stations aren't too far, and the surrounding area is very quiet. Taxis are also cheap and convenient. The young front desk staff were all very warm and welcoming; anything we needed was brought up right away. Every night at 10 PM, the hotel has a 15-minute light show featuring many of Lisbon's sights. I missed it the first night, but I made an effort to watch it the second night, and it was quite interesting."

"The staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was spacious. The breakfast had a great variety, with plenty of meat, eggs, milk, and bread, plus some egg tarts. The only downside was the noise from the street outside; it was quite loud when high-powered motorcycles passed by. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to request a room on the other side of the building. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the city center, or you can catch the metro nearby downstairs. They also have private parking available for 15 euros per day."

"A pleasant stay for 2 nights. Reception was very helpful and pleasant. Room was not ready when I check in at 4pm. And they offer me some nice butter cookies . Room was clean. Mattress was comfortable!  When I had problem locking my room door, they send the hotel guy to help me look into the issue. It was coz I did not use enough strength to turn the knob to lock it. Case resolved immediately. While I did not require my room to be disturbed, they offered to change my towels. Nice gestures. Location definitely excellent, just above the metro station, Marques De Pombal. Very centrally located , near a huge park and near the city!!"

"I stayed at this hostel for a solo trip. As it's a dormitory, I understand there are only two bathrooms (toilet and shower combined), so you have to coordinate to avoid overlapping with others. There were about 4-5 mosquitoes in the bathroom. You don't need to bring your own locker key as it's provided along with the room key. The kitchen had essential cutlery, a kettle, and a microwave. Aside from the bathroom, I felt it offered good value for the price. I assume you've read this during booking, but remember to bring your own towel! And the entrance has a double door, so the security is reassuring."

"The room decor is quite new, simple, elegant, and refreshing. The toiletries, body lotion, and disposable toothbrushes are all of good quality. The pillows come in both soft and firm options. The view outside the window is nice, and breakfast offers a good variety. What truly deserves praise is the exceptional service from the front desk. They helped us check for cleaned rooms before the official check-in time, allowing us to get in early. On our last day, as we were rushing for our flight, they prepared a fantastic takeaway breakfast for us – it was incredibly generous! Picture 4 only shows a part of it; there was juice and other items, plus two types of bread with cheese already in them. The only drawback is that it's a bit far from the old town, but it's super close to the airport, less than a 20-minute taxi ride."

"Dom Sanchio 1 is a charming rustic-style hotel with a fantastic location. It’s well-connected, with plenty of taxis, the train station, buses, and the iconic Tram 28 just around the corner. Victor and Tarsis were absolute gems—always ready with helpful recommendations and suggestions, which made our stay even better. That said, there are some downsides. Housekeeping was very minimal, limited mostly to towel changes and a quick bed tidy-up. Breakfast was repetitive and quite basic throughout our four-day stay. The biggest challenge, however, was the bathroom—it was incredibly small, probably the tiniest I’ve ever come across in a hotel or hostel, requiring you to walk sideways just to get in. Overall, it’s a convenient and welcoming place if location and friendly service matter most, but be prepared for the compact facilities and simple amenities."
