Hotels near Rossio Square in Lisbon

The host didn't email the door code to me and there was no one answering the doorbell for the first three times my friends and I tried when it's raining heavily outside that day. I called the owner and they said they would open the door but they didn't and I had to call another time so that they would actually give us the door code to get into the building. The environment around the stay is very dirty, the road is full with dog poops everyday since morning and it smells very bad. My belonging is missing in the apartment when I'm very sure that it was still in the bathroom before we left the room. I'm not sure if the cleaner broke it or something else, but I asked them and they say there's nothing they can do about it. I don't mind if they broke it i just want an explanation about why is it missing and they just ignored me, instead they just say they couldn't find the item. The cleaner cleans the room everyday, the room is clean and is a nice place to sleep overall.

We stayed here for 4 nights , the location is fantastic right in the center near to every thing. The roof top pool is beautiful and a lovely place to sit. The apartment we had was small and basic not very well decorated old furniture but it was spotlessly clean. It was very quiet and all round lovely place to stay, The reception staff are lovely and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This hostel is operated like a 2-star hotel, providing cozy room with private bathroom and comfortable bed. The business must've undergone major renovation in recent years as everything looks new, practical and comfortable. It is also conveniently located close to the Rossio Metro station and all attractions including Castelo de S. Jorge Castle, the Lisbon Cathedral and Praça do Comércio.

The location of the hotel is very convenient in the tourist area. Although the room is relatively thin, the decoration is very new. The only drawback is that many amenities have to pay, and the waiter said that he has to go to the front desk to pick it up, and there is no service to send the room.

I was satisfied because the location was good, but there were bed bugs. This is the accommodation that made the last trip the worst. I found it before check-out, and when I told the hotel during check-out, I didn't give any compensation, and the response to the boss asking me to send an inquiry email was over.

It was a good hotel to choose if I visit Lisbon again!! I booked a double room, but since I was visiting with a friend, I asked for a twin bed if possible, and I was really grateful for the change. First of all, the location is really good. I came in in the middle, put my luggage, charged my phone, and went out! The breakfast was varied and very tasty. The people who work are also kind, so I was grateful that they listened to my requests. The only regret is that they didn't change the towels every day, and they hung up the towels they used. Also, the floor of the room is not clean like Europe, where people wear shoes inside. However, there were no separate disposable slippers. Next time I go, I think I'll bring slippers.

I booked this hotel before, but this time I changed the itinerary because of a temporary event, so I couldn't cancel it. Fortunately, I bought insurance before, and I could reimburse a part of it, which reduced most of the losses.

One of the best hotels we've stayed in, with some of the friendliest employees we have ever encountered. Cristina and David were two of the most amiable and helpful Front of House staff members we could have wished for; always cheerful and often going out of their way to help us. Nelson and Rachel were also polite and efficient on the reception and our house-made Annabel kept our bedroom spotlessly clean and tidy. Situated almost directly in front of Rossio Square, the hotel has an immaculately restored traditional Portuguese façade with an ultra modern interior and is ideally situated a 5 minute walk away from the train station. This proved ideal for day trips to beautifully picturesque Sintra and the beach at Cascais. A luxurious King Size bed in a spacious, super efficiently air conditioned bedroom ensured a refreshing refuge from the hotter July temperatures and a very good night's sleep. What a wonderful, but entirely individual, experience. The set up is one side is a hostel (quite a nice one), where reception, casual tapas restaurant and breakfast are served. The other side is the suites, with a rooftop bar and smart restaurant. The character is faded elegance, shabby chic - entirely purposely and is so authentic. The vibe is superb service from a young, friendly and efficient staff. If you want a suited and booted experience, go elsewhere and probably get worse service. The rooms are of average size, although mine, in comparison with my friends’ had a HUGE bathroom. High ceiling make the rooms feel airy. Proper antique shutters make for a proper blackout experience. The rooms do have areas with peeling paint and could be described as rustic for some - but they are clean and charming and we were delighted. If you want a quiet venue - do not come here - it is noisy, it is in a central location with bars and restaurants around. That said, it is perfectly located to get everywhere in Lisbon. The breakfast which you attend with the hostel residents (who were all lovely) was super, with a good selection - would have liked a little prepared fresh fruit - you can order specialist coffees and hot food as included in the suites rate (these extras have to be paid for by the hostel residents). The same area, with its terrace, houses a tapas restaurant which we visited on the first night. Superb food and service. The rooftop bar is a real treat. AMAZING views with excellent vibe and service. The restaurant beside it we did not visit as did not appeal, but no reason to suspect it wasn’t anything other than fab - as v busy! Lastly, the young chaps on the reception desk were soooo helpful and friendly - perfect English and the wonderful lady in charge of breakfast has to have a mention - what a character and such a super person to have there for the younger travellers. Looking at the reviews, some people just don’t “get it” - it is a different experience from a modern, chain hotel - but we found it wonderful. We heard they are going to be opening other places, but judging by the descriptions, they will be different to this - we would love for them to open things JUST LIKE THIS in other European cities - it is a one off currently and we would like to see more.

It was a great stay overall, the manager was wonderful as were all of the staff. They went above and beyond - so massive shout out to them all. They were very inclusive and welcoming. It’s really well located. Knocked off one star due to the noise (not well insulated from it) and the fact the rooms were tiny! Including the bathroom, but loved the Rituals product though. Additionally, the breakfast wasn’t to my taste albeit plenty for most to enjoy. Otherwise I was super happy with the location, we had amazing food places nearby and tourist attraction close by. The train station was located a short walk away. Despite Lisbon being a very steep walk everywhere, and our hotel was on a steep road, it wasn’t that difficult to get around at all. All in all, a great place to stay in Lisbon! Perfect location for a quick weekend getaway.
