"We arrived after 10 PM. I was a bit hesitant about taking a taxi, as I'd seen previous guest comments mentioning safety concerns. However, the area around the airport metro station was quite lively, and the hotel was just a short walk, a few hundred meters, off the main road. The front desk staff were lovely and made us feel very comfortable. Once we got into our room and saw the Acropolis lit up at night, all my worries completely melted away."

"Dave Red in Athens is definitely a hotel with character! If you want to stay somewhere not so ordinary, then this is your choice. The hotel's public spaces and rooms are extremely clean and very tastefully designed with a nod to the building's historical past. The colour palette is in contrasting dark/red tones which gives it unique atmosphere. The main highlight of my room was the super comfy bed and the balcony with a street view. In terms of the size, the room wasn't the biggest but more than enough for a single person. I would like to especially emphasise the staff of the hotel who were extremely helpful, spoke fluent English and gave valuable recommendations. It felt like they really care about their guests' comfort and want them to have best experience in Athens. All the amenities were top notch: breakfast, gym (small but functional), iron and ironing board on request, and a little rooftop space with a communal hot tub😍"

"Fantastic location! We stayed for 6 nights and explored different parts Athens each day. A reasonable spread of breakfast is provided and a wide variety of food is available near the hotel. "The hotel boasts an excellent location, situated on Women's Street. It's just a 13-15 minute walk to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. With many delicious restaurants and jewelry stores in the vicinity, it's perfect for shopping. Getting to the hotel from the airport is straightforward without needing a taxi. Simply exit the airport and ask for the X95 bus, which takes you directly to Syntagma Square in less than an hour, costing 5.5 Euros per person. From Syntagma Square, walk down through the square onto the central street, and the hotel is just a 3-5 minute walk further, located down a small alley next to Mango. A minor drawback is the lack of complimentary bottled water. However, the rooms are quite spacious, and with a comfortable 1.5-meter sofa, there's ample space, even if you have a lot of luggage. The hotel breakfast was standard, with a limited selection. Nevertheless, the hotel's 7th-floor cafe offers stunning panoramic views of the Acropolis. It's particularly beautiful to visit around 7 PM to witness the Acropolis at sunset. The prices for food and drinks there are also reasonable."

"The hotel is quite far from the center, so you’ll need to rely on public transportation regularly. There’s a bus station on the street that takes you to the nearest metro stop and into the city, but buses only run every 20–30 minutes. As for the room itself – when I booked the basic room, there were 36 photos that made me think the room would be larger. Maybe that was my mistake (or maybe intentional marketing?), but either way it felt misleading. The room was very clean, but the bathroom soap was the bright pink mall-style kind, and in the shower there was a bottle of clear liquid that honestly looked like bleach. I really hope that wasn’t meant to be shower gel. The room had no window, only a large door to the balcony, which makes it tricky if you want fresh air at night. The AC froze the small space (and I normally love sleeping with AC), but there was no blanket, only a very thin sheet. So the choice was either freezing or no air. There was no desk or chair in the room – if you want to sit, the only option is the bed. There was a washing machine, but no detergent tabs provided. I actually bought a box of 40 at the supermarket and left them there, but I have a feeling they didn’t stay for the next guest. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again."

"The location is pretty good, about an 8-minute walk from the subway station, and you can get there directly from the airport. There are plenty of food options nearby, and it's very close to the street BBQ place. I arrived quite late that day and was assigned an upper bunk. I mentioned that I had requested a lower bunk when booking, and they ended up giving me a four-person dorm room all to myself! Although someone did check in in the middle of the night. The room is spacious, has a private bathroom, and even comes with a complimentary beer or soft drink. The rooftop bar is excellent, offering direct views of the Acropolis. The room's cleanliness is also very good. It has lockers, hangers, and a balcony, so drying clothes is not an issue."

"Booked this hotel for a friend, and they gave it excellent feedback. It's directly accessible from the airport by metro, and just a leisurely ten-minute walk from the subway station. There's a bus stop right downstairs, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. The hotel has been recently renovated, and the rooms are fully equipped. The front desk staff are very capable and speak good English. The breakfast provided by the hotel is quite good for European standards, and tastes great too."
