"The homestay is located on the pedestrian street right outside Luoyi Old City. It is easier to access through the parking lot at the back, though most taxi driver will refuse to reach there as the street is pretty narrow. Although the homestay follows old Chinese theme for all rooms and furniture, everything is new and clean. We even had water filter machine. There’s a separate laundry room that you can use for free. We were lucky that our room was at the very back, far from the noisy pedestrian street full of shops and restaurants. Definitely a recommendation for anyone who prefer staying close the to old city to take photoshoot in Chinese costumes."

"Out of the Jinjiang, Huazhu, and Intercontinental hotels we stayed at during our 5-day trip, this Intercontinental was the only one I immediately wanted to give a glowing review to. We were two adults with one child, and at every hotel, we'd ask the front desk for kids' toiletries. This was the only hotel that proactively sent kids' bath towels to our room without us even asking (even though we had our own disposable towels and didn't use theirs). This small detail alone shows how meticulous and thoughtful their service is, and it's definitely made me a huge fan of Intercontinental hotels!"

"Service: The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. It was a hot day, and they thoughtfully turned on the AC in our room before we arrived, which was a lovely touch! Environment: The guesthouse's location is perfect! It's just a few minutes' walk to Luoyi Ancient City and Shizijie. Cleanliness: The room was spacious and spotless! Facilities: The room featured smart home appliances, and the zero-pressure, spine-friendly mattress was super comfortable and helped us relax after a long day. The price was also very affordable, offering excellent value for money. If I get the chance to visit Luoyang again, I'll definitely choose to stay here!"

"This is a good choice when I made my booking to an unknown city. Location wise so near to main attraction such as Louyang Ancient City. It does not sit exactly in the main street so you have to walk a bit roughly 200m inside. With luggage maybe found bit difficulty as uneven stone pathway to the hotel. Though this should not dampen your mood for staying here. I got ground floor. I guess those without balcony were given groud floor. It have high floor to ceiling window/sliding door facing the main pathway. Can't really open the curtain then everyone pass though will see you. Upper floor should not have this issue. There this side upright chair/cusyen where one can just sit and lounge around eating all the snack one just bought outside the street. TV is big I do not have time to watch any. I think tis the subscription version. All necessary amenities is available. 🤷 There's washing machine but only operational 10am to 10pm and I didn't have time to use it. Ground floor may have issue with sound as I can hear upstairs things moving around but I'm so tired from all day walk so this just temporary nuisance. All in all I highly recommend this place if the area you intended to visit is around the hotel."

They also provided detailed and clear explanations regarding room card access, breakfast times, and hotel amenities. When I inquired about transportation routes in Luoyang and parking near tourist attractions, the front desk patiently offered practical advice. Their answers were clear, well-organized, and demonstrated excellent knowledge, with absolutely no perfunctory responses. Throughout our interactions, they remained polite and composed, handling everything with a steady demeanor, which clearly reflected their superb professional training. The room itself was clean and tidy, with both the facilities and amenities up to par. A great hotel experience truly hinges on a highly competent service team, and the professional service from the front desk, in particular, made my stay incredibly comfortable. This Mercure is definitely my top choice for accommodation in Luoyang, and I'll certainly be back!"

"Location & Facilities: This guesthouse is located in an old residential area, tucked away in an alley which made it a little hard to find. During the day, there's quite a bit of foot traffic from local residents, and driving into the alley can be tricky. However, you can park at the alley entrance and walk for about two to three minutes to reach the guesthouse, so it's still quite convenient. The main gate has an electronic lock, and you can only open it with your room card after dark, which made us feel very secure. Free parking nearby is a bit 'wild west' – basically just parking along the side of the alley. If you're worried about scratches or inconvenience, there are also paid parking lots nearby; 5 yuan for overnight parking is a reasonable price, I think. Being in the old city, the guesthouse is very close to attractions like Luoyi Ancient City and other bustling areas. Grabbing a shared e-scooter, you can reach all sorts of delicious food within about ten minutes, making it super convenient for eating and exploring. Service: The owner, a very enthusiastic gentleman, called us right after we booked to confirm if we needed a parking space. After checking in, he recommended many local eateries. We basically followed his recommendations for most of our two or three days in Luoyang, and everything was authentic and affordable! I have to say, the owner’s recommendations as a local were truly authentic; he had our breakfast, lunch, and dinner plans perfectly sorted. Since we rented a car, we'd tell him roughly when we'd return to the guesthouse, and he'd help confirm a parking spot in advance, so we could park directly near the guesthouse upon arrival. He always has a cheerful smile, and when we bumped into him heading out, he'd actively ask how our day was going and how we liked the restaurants he recommended. Overall, he made us feel right at home, very comfortable! Hygienics: The entire guesthouse was impeccably maintained by the owner. Our room was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The bathroom had no unpleasant smells, and the hot water for showers was great and convenient, with no drainage issues. They also provided disposable bath towels and face towels, which was a nice touch. The mattress was incredibly comfortable; combined with all the delicious food in Luoyang, we pretty much crashed as soon as we got back to the guesthouse and slept like logs, haha. No wonder previous reviews mentioned feeling like they were staying in a five-star hotel. Overall, the stay was an excellent experience! I highly recommend this guesthouse to everyone! It's been three or four days since we returned from Luoyang, and I just remembered I had to leave a big positive review for the owner! The value of a retrospective review speaks for itself. Please support the owner's business! Staying in such a comfortable guesthouse made our trip to Luoyang even more enjoyable! "The room was clean, spacious, and bright, with fresh air. The bed was just the right firmness. The hotel is in a quiet spot despite being centrally located, and it's very convenient for visiting Luoyi Ancient City. There are two lovely cats that are super friendly and well-behaved. The staff provided thoughtful, attentive, and detailed service. My son especially loved the smart home features. I'll definitely recommend it to friends."

"Stayed at the Tongque Hotel for two days in Luoyang, and overall it was fantastic. They have their own dedicated parking lot. The most crucial thing is the hotel's great location, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. The service was exceptional. They even gave us a small gift when we checked out. Our room was also very spacious, and we slept incredibly comfortably. They provided four bottles of mineral water daily. The hotel is very quiet because it doesn't have many rooms. I'm really glad I chose this place; I saw other reviews saying this hotel was excellent, and now I'm leaving my own review. Luoyang has low prices and incredibly warm service. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance."

"This stay was fantastic, definitely a top-notch review. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, stable water pressure, and excellent toiletries. The room layout was very practical and spacious. Housekeeping was incredibly thorough, cleaning every nook and cranny. The whole place had high-speed, stable WiFi for smooth communication, and the TV supported screen mirroring. The smart devices were great. In the lobby, there was free ice jelly, self-service cold drinks, and tea. The hotel service was excellent, and its location was superb – right across from a snack street and the subway station, making travel very convenient."
