Since we had a baby, we needed a slightly larger room. Most hotels on Trip.com stated that adding a baby crib was not possible, so I searched mainly for accommodations with one large bed and one single bed, which is how I found this place and booked it. The room was spacious, and there were many animal dolls and building blocks, so the baby loved it as soon as they saw them! Usually, they would get bored and ask me to play, but they played well by themselves, calling out animal names like ”You're the Daddy Whale, You're the Baby Whale!” which made things much easier. Since they are still young, I had never booked a kids' accommodation before, but this experience made me think I should consider them in the future. The air conditioning was very cool, and the bedding was nice. There were no rooms downstairs, so it was great for the baby to run around and play. However, for some reason, I kept smelling cigarette smoke coming in from somewhere while trying to sleep. I don't know exactly where it was coming from, but that was the only slightly inconvenient thing. It wasn't coming from the bathroom area, though. I'm not really sure, though I wonder if it's coming in through the air conditioner's outdoor unit 😭 I stayed for two nights, and the smell was only present for about an hour during that time. Since it doesn't happen constantly, I just let it slide. The staff are very kind; they always greet you when you enter and leave :)"

The guesthouse is located on the north side of Linzhou Taihang Grand Canyon, only 5 kilometers from the scenic area, making it very convenient for self-driving. There's a public parking lot about 1 kilometer south that supports EV charging, which is very friendly for self-driving tourists. I stayed in a lake-view king room, which came with a huge scenic balcony offering an expansive view directly facing the beautiful Taihang mountain scenery. The views in the morning and evening were particularly therapeutic. The only minor drawback was that the indoor space was a bit compact, and the bathroom layout was similar to an RV design – fully functional but a bit cramped. The dining experience was a big plus. Breakfast could be delivered directly to the room, with a rich variety of fresh ingredients that tasted simple yet delicious. The guesthouse also offers lunch and dinner, with authentic local flavors and good value for money. What delighted my child the most was a gentle and friendly dog living at the guesthouse, which added a lot of fun to our trip. Overall, it's a cozy guesthouse very suitable for family road trips and getting closer to nature."
