Hotels with Breakfast in Coimbra

The hotel is next to the university, it is very convenient to play, the hotel is located on the mountain, from the train station to the hotel, it is better to call a taxi!

Located in the centre of Coimbra, near the river and all the main tourist attractions of the city. The room was very comfortable and comfortable (by saying something the coats are of viscolatex are very hard, high) . The shower and toilet recreates the Joanina Library very original and comfortable with crystal mampares. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. We were kept in the baggage until afternoon without cost.

The hotel is very ceremonial and needs to ring the doorbell to open the door. The breakfast was very rich, the room was large and the service was very thoughtful. The garden is worth a visit, with the iconic 12th century arch and a tears spring with a sad love story. There are antique paintings in the corridor, one step at a time.

While the soundproofing was a bit lacking, I was generally satisfied. The front desk staff were friendly and proficient in English, which was a plus. However, be careful as water tends to splash out of the shower stall during a shower (the drainage isn't great). I regret not using the pool facilities, as the water was surprisingly clean. There's a spacious paid parking area with electric vehicle charging available.

We stayed two nights in apartment 2.2 - one bedroom with a small office room which has a desk and single bed. Location was great, being right off the main pedestrian ***** in the old town area, so very atmospheric and convenient for restaurants. Check-in is at Hotel Oslo, about 4min walk away so you will have to walk with your luggage for a few minutes, including up some stairs. The apartment building also does not have a lift, so you will need to be able to carry your luggage up stairs within the building. I don't think you would be able to call an Uber or taxi to the street in front of the building as it is very narrow so bear this in mind. Some other minor points I noticed about the apartment which you may find helpful: - It directly faces another building on a narrow street, so the apartment doesn't really get natural sunlight - There is a washer but no dryer - it took a whole day for our clothes to dry and the rack sat in the living room - The apartment fittings are starting to feel a bit worn down

We very much enjoyed our stay at Coimbra Monumentais.  The location is absolutely perfect being so close to the steps up to the University.  The facilities were fine.  My only suggestion for improvement is to automatically send the check in information rather than asking us to ask for it.  I missed that point in the reservation.  Most of our stays were with Air BnB and they automatically send the information a day or two in advance.  We came to the back door (the 7A address) and had an issue with getting in.  Once in, we were very well looked after.  Thanks so much to Mariannna!

The hotel reception was poor, no effort was made to inform us of the hotel’s amenities or location of the amenities. The port wine at the reception was on display but was never offered to us or the other guests. The cleaning staff were very friendly, congratulations. The heating unit was located outside near the window of the room and was surprisingly loud. The worst of all was a male guest using the sauna and steam room while completely *****! Shocking lack of hygiene!!!

The staff was very kind and detailed to introduce the hotel facilities and let us check in early. The breakfast was hygienic and delicious. Breakfast was served until 10:30. Check out at 12 o'clock gave me ample time to organize my luggage. It was very intimate. The housekeeping staff took the clothes we left in the room to us in time. I'll choose this hotel if I have a chance.

Hotel close to public transport, including Coimbra train stations. Large and clean room with minibar and room service and other services available through the hotel's App, very practical.

A comunicação entre o alojamento e a plataforma de reservas é manifestamente fraca. Eu fiz uma reserva, recebi um comjunto de documentos (voucher, factura e confirmação de reserva e pagamento), no entanto, em nenhum desses documentos foi incluido o numero do quarto nem o codigo de acesso à chave. Entrei em contacto com a propriedade, informando que iria viajar de noite e chegar de madrugada. Comuniquei essa informação por escrito na reserva. A propriedade confirmou que não haveria problema, porque com o código poderia entrar quando quisesse. Os documentos que me enviaram apenas dispunha de um PIN de 4 digitos que eu acreditei ser o codigo de acesso à chave e ao quarto. Nao. O código não funciou, os telefones de serviço da propriedade nunca foram atendidos. Na cidade contactei outros hoteis que alegadameente estavam completos. Fiz mais de 20 chamadas para os numeros que me disponibilizaram. Conclusão: passei a noite na rua. Paguei e dormi no carro, ao frio e sem qualquer conforto. Apenas me devolveram a chamada já passava das 7 da manhã.
