Hotels with Breakfast in Krakow

The location is excellent. Just around the corner is the Square Center. Turning the other way, you'll find the tram station, making it very convenient to catch a ride. However, taxis can't enter, so you have to walk to the tram station. The facilities are very good, and the rooms are bright. Although there's a restaurant and bar downstairs, it didn't affect my sleep at night. I didn't use the hotel's on-site restaurant for breakfast, as I'd heard the reviews weren't very good. Because there's a cafe downstairs that offers brunch, it's very convenient. I was very pleased with the elevator, so I didn't have to worry about climbing stairs in this old building.

The location was the best, right next to main station, big shopping mall, and tram stops. The room was modern ( it is either very well maintained or recently renovated ). The breakfast was great. It even provide juicer machine where you can make fresh juice by yourself (choices are: apple, carrot, beetroot). Something that I rarely see even in five stars hotel. The most amazing is the hospitality of the staff. We received welcome wawel chocolate during check in and polish pretzel during check out. Special thanks to the receptionist, Ola for passionately explaining the major tourist attractions in the city ( seriously, you have the talent to become a tour leader ;-) ). Also not to forget special thanks to Anita for recommending local polish restaurant and offered welcome chocolate. Both are amazing staff and I can feel their sincerity when serving guest, so make sure you treat them well Mercure, they are your assets :)

A flawless stay just steps away from everything I stayed at Hotel Indigo Kraków – Wawel Castle and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with a unique and carefully thought-out design full of character. Every space has its own personality, and the location couldn’t be better: Wawel Castle, the Old Town and the city’s main attractions are all within easy walking distance. A special mention goes to the staff. They are young, incredibly kind, professional and patient. Always welcoming and happy to help, they made the whole stay even more enjoyable. The room had everything you could possibly need: an iron and ironing board (a detail I really appreciated), a kettle, complimentary bottled water and a coffee machine replenished daily with fresh capsules. Honestly, it was the best coffee I’ve ever had in a hotel abroad. Another highlight was the hotel’s restaurant, Heritage & Hip. I ordered the Tatar z polędwicy wołowej, and I can honestly say it was the best beef tartare I’ve ever eaten. The quality, balance of flavours and presentation were outstanding—easily on par with what you would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. If I return to Kraków, I won’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality hotel in a perfect location, with an exceptional restaurant.

Excellent, modern hotel. Very clean, friendly staff. Breakfasts were very tasty and varied, with items always replenished promptly when they ran out! There's a snack bar downstairs that was open even late at night. Another plus is that for a small extra fee (50 PLN) you can access the spa center with pools and saunas, shared with Doubletree by Hilton hotel. On the downside, the price is expensive, and the hotel is somewhat far from the city center. Sometimes we had to wait longer than usual for a taxi. However, if you prefer public transport, there's a tram nearby - 15 minutes and you're in the Old Town. Overall, an excellent choice for Krakow. I think we'll come back here again. ::: Отличный современный отель. Очень чисто, персонал приветливый. Завтраки были очень вкусными и разнообразными, всегда вовремя пополняли заканчивающиеся продукты! Внизу есть снек-бар, раюотал даже поздно вечером. Еще из плюсов, что за небольшую доп.плату (50 злотых) можно посетить СПА-центр, с бассейнами и саунами, совместно с отелем Doubletree by Hilton. Из минусов, цена дороговата и то, что отель немного далековат от центра и бывало что приходилось подождать такси дольше обычного, но если вы предпочитаете передвигаться на общественном транспорте, то недалеко ходит трамвай — 15 минут, и вы в старом городе. В целом отличный вариант для Кракова. Думаю, что приедем сюда еще.

I stayed here for about a week straight. It was comfortable, though I did notice the walls seemed a bit thin at times. If there had been a mini-fridge, I probably would have given it an even higher rating, but that minor complaint vanishes when you consider how close it is to a Super Lidl and another supermarket. Being able to buy ice cream and get back to my room before it melted was a real lifesaver! Don't worry if you're staying on a Sunday when most shops are closed; the Ocean store at the gas station right across the street has everything you need. The public transport links were also excellent, making for a very pleasant stay.

I really liked the Columbus Hotel. It's just a few minutes' walk from Grzegorzki train station, which is the next stop after the main station Rynek, coming from the airport. I was in a twin room with a balcony, bathtub, fridge, complimentary water, toiletries. Lovely, bright and clean, comfy beds and nice bedding. Breakfast was delicious. The scrambled egg and little sausages were so tasty. The cakes were lovely with coffee afterwards. Also cereal, meats, cheese, fruit, yoghurt and breads and juices. Lovely and quiet, never heard a sound from other guests in their rooms. A real calm and relaxed vibe. There's also an outdoor seating area and a shop across the road. The tram stops are just to the side and are so easy and frequent. Ticket machines are at the stop, or you can pay on board. Don't forget to validate your ticket. Great base for exploring the Jewish quarter and ghetto, Schindler Factory Museum and don't miss the Plaszow guided tour, a highlight so far. Tram 3 and 24 takes you there from outside hotel and coats 4 zlotys. They are in the process of building a museum there, so it's going to be much busier in the future. Go now while its not as well known. I would definitely return to Columbus hotel, an excellent choice, enjoy!

The positives. The hotel was modern, well positioned from the central square, and the rooms were spotless. The breakfast was good quality with a diverse choice. The negatives. A member of the cleaning staff walked into my room early morning without knocking. I believe she didn't realise the room was occupied. I was in my underwear in my bed exposed. It caused much embarrassment to me and her. I made a complaint. However, it was brushed aside, and there was no apology. From the staff member at reception. I ordered in food, and when it was delivered by the outside restaurant, it was left to sit at the hotel reception. When I eventually received a call from the desk via my moibile, the meal was cold and ruined. The receptionist claimed she had called my room telephone - she hadn't. Another incident with the cleaning staff, they threw my water bottle away when they cleaned the room. I asked where it was, and they went rifling through the black bags. I was totally shocked that they thought they could put my possession in the garbage. The staff can be abrupt, Each job sector is very dislocated from the other, so it feels quite cold in the atmosphere of the hotel. If they could address the harmony of the staff, then the place would feel more welcoming.

PROS *Lovely spacious rooms with nicely refurbished bathrooms. *The breakfast area looks presentable with a fairly decent selection. *Bottled water is provided daily, you just have to make sure you hang the sign to request to clean the room. *Hotel is centrally located right by the square. It’s near grocery stores, restaurants, donut/pastry shops & souvenir shops. CONS *The carpets “looked” dirty & old, not very pleasing to look at but they’re not - just gives that impression! *The main downside for me is the noise. Our room was facing the front which is where pedestrians walk through to the square. Earplugs were supplied by Hotel but they didn’t make a difference. There were loud revellers until 4:30am daily, then once that ends, the delivery trucks & refuse collectors pass through which were just as loud! Needless to say I didn’t get a full night sleep for 4 nights. Overall, it’s a clean & very reasonably priced hotel. May I also add we are a group that booked 4 rooms. 2 rooms were in the quiet side but the other 2 were in the noisy part. Not all rooms are the same. However, if you can sleep through anything then this wouldn’t be as much of an issue as it was for me.

Hotel dining is good, the overall old and old, the promotion of sauna spa when booking, actually not, involving false propaganda, ask for compensation.

Hotel is pretty decent for the price. In terms of positives, the rooms are pretty good. The pool/ sauna are good. I've been to hotels with pools more like paddling pools, but this one you could actually swim lengths in. It was busy around the evening (5-8), but dead in the morning which meant I could have a nice relaxing swim. Reception were nice and helpful. Breakfast was decent enough, though a bit expensive in my opinion. The big downside for a visitor to Krakow is the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Around 20 minutes in a taxi to the centre. There's a bus stop outside the hotel, but the only buses which stop there don't go to the centre meaning a connection is needed. Nearest small supermarket around a 7/8 minute walk and there's a big shopping mall 15 minutes by foot. I stayed for work so was happy enough. First time visitors to the city would be better off getting something closer/ better connected to the centre.
