"They were having a power disruption (only partial power) when I arrived for check in. Things happen; but the way they were dealing with it was exceptional. The desk staff did everything they could to minimize the impact to the arriving guests until full power was restored.
The only problem I had was that Trip stated they have an airport shuttle. They did not. It seems that may have been canceled recently (benefit of the doubt) and Trip has not updated their information. That may be more Trips’s failing more than the hotel. It seems the responsibility of keeping Trip’s information accurate falls on Trip, not the individual vendors."

We upgraded to the Family Suite of three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Every single service person we encountered on the property greeted us with a smile. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. You are right on the ocean. The beach restaurant is excellent and has nightly entertainment with an exceptional vocalist as well as dancers and gymnasts. The on site sit down restaurant had the best gourmet food I have ever had for three meals daily. There is 24 hour room service available as well. The pools were very clean and heated well. The Kids Club had a variety of well thought out and executed activities for all age groups. The kiddie pool was very safe. There was a live Aladdin show while we were there that was so enjoyable for all, then activities after. The daily housekeeping as well as the unit being stocked daily with snacks and beverages was also exceptional.

Had to stay here by accident due to flight cancellations but my wife & I were very pleased! The place is huge and is perfectly situated right by the airport. They do not provide taxi services to the airport unfortunately, but there are taxis always available to take you there, driver will try to rip you off and charge you $20 USD for not even a 5 minute ride, but locals only pay between $5-$10 USD max; so don’t fall for it.
But the hotel was a welcomed surprise for my wife & I. BUY THE BUFFET BREAKFAST ADD-ON! We didn’t we ended up paying $90 for our breakfast Which could’ve been about 40 bucks had we prepaid. Don’t bother buying the alcoholic beverage in a coconut - it’s way overpriced and you get very little alcohol. Definitely take it vantage of the free coupon/services provided at check-in; you get a little coupon book thing that contains free drinks, tequila shots, and passes to the spa, among some other things. Those were added benefits. The room was nice enough, not high-end luxury, but the rest of the hotel was impressive and the massive pool was awesome.

Loft Hotel Malecón is an outstanding boutique-style hotel located in the heart of downtown Puerto Vallarta, just one short block from the ocean and the iconic Malecón boardwalk. The location is ideal for travelers who want to be within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and cultural attractions. Despite being centrally located, the hotel maintains a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Guests enjoy excellent value for the price, with spacious, modern rooms that feel more like private lofts than standard hotel accommodations.
The hotel features a beautiful outdoor pool, optional breakfast service, and exceptionally warm, professional staff who truly make guests feel welcomed and cared for. The rooms are known for being large, clean, and extremely comfortable, offering far more space than typical hotels in this price range. Whether you are visiting for business, a romantic getaway, or a vacation with friends, Loft Hotel Malecón delivers comfort, convenience, and top-tier service at an affordable rate.

Our room was 2 feet from the elevator in the main lobby! We can hear every single person talking and walking by our door as well as kids screaming because the ice cream shop was 15 feet away. The amount of pressure they are putting on every single guest to go and attend the timeshare promotion is unbelievable. If you attend, usually they give you some decent gifts. We get a $200 voucher to spend on the food and drinks. Most of the time they didn't want to take vouchers, or you had to spend the whole $50 at once because the rule was not money back. So if we spend $30 or $40 we have to give them $50. The food was everything but good. The promotional taco dinner was disgusting, with dry fish, beef with no flavor, and dry and overcooked chicken. And they didn't accept vouchers. I went back home with an unused $50 voucher in my pocket because I couldn't use it.
Ramon and Martin from the front desk were the nicest, warmest, and friendliest people I ever met.
All the servers and workers are very hard-working people.

Pros:
- Good location
- Huge rooms
- Close to Malecon
Cons:
- Too crowded
- Noisy
- Only real option for lunch is their buffet place
- Pool is not clean
- Time share
- Staff could be a little more friendly
- Buffet is too busy/crowded
We had paid via Trip.com for the room with breakfast buffets included. The check-in staff said the payment has not been done and we still had to pay for the room and buffet separately. After 2 hours of confusion and waiting with a 1 year old, it was finally resolved. The staff did not feel sorry or apologize at all for their mistake.

I don't usually post negative comments, but if this will help another traveler make an informed choice, I thought I'd let you know a couple of things. First, I booked a junior suite with an ocean view. The rooms are very nice and spacious. However, our ocean view was actually of telephone poles and wires and the thatched roof of the club across the alley. I admit, the ocean was in view, beyond these obstacles. Our original room was on the 4th floor and the first night our roof sprung a fast leak due to the downpour outside. It was mostly cleaned up and we were told to let the front desk know in the morning that we needed to move rooms.
I would have thought that due to the inconvenience of having to re-pack everything, that they would have given us an upgraded room. Instead, they gave us a junior ocean view suite on the 3rd floor with a closer view of the wires and rooftop. This room also had only one patio chair so even if we wanted to sit out on the patio, we wouldn't have been able to together. The resort itself has nice amenities.

The hotel has a beautiful environment and considerate service, which is suitable for family vacation.
We chose the all-inclusive service. The breakfast was good, and the lunch and dinner were very average. Maybe I have high requirements for food. The beef was made of wood, and there was basically no decent food to choose from for seafood. The blended wine was a barrel of concentrated juice with wine, which was very difficult to drink. If you want to taste delicious food or have high expectations for delicious food, it is recommended to choose a package with breakfast, not all.
The beach sand is not fine sand, which is the case in this area, and there is nothing wrong with it.

A good hotel in the center of the Romantic Zone. There is a swimming pool. From the downside noisy in the rooms from the transportation. Well, some tiredness is visible.

We arrived for our 10 day stay and at the check in we were informed that the Family pool was closed for renovations and that all guests were using the Adult Only Pool. (which is considerable smaller. Needless to say the pool was packed with children with water toys etc, jumping splashing ( having lots of fun) It was difficult to sit by the pool as all the chairs were taken very early in the day and getting into the pool to relax was not possible. If we had known we would have booked somewhere else as this really affected the enjoyment of our vacation. Also the front lobby staff tried to tell us on our last day lunch was not included. I showed them the email that you had sent. They were not very accommodating and reluctantly let us have lunch. Left a bitter taste
