"The hotel is on the mountain, beautiful view. But it needs to be understood that this is not a beach hotel. Formally there is an exit to the beach from the pool, but it is very cool and in the heat to rise from the sea it is a occupation only for physically trained people. And it is wild.
On the sea beach you need to drive 5 minutes Maya Beach, parking + two lying + a umbrella 35 euros a day. Towels are yours.
Breakfast was delicious, but all 4 days were the same.
The hotel itself is clean and comfortable.
Far from civilization , there is one on the mountain.
There are lots of parking spaces.
There is a paid transfer to Taormina.
Dinner for 35 euros is normal, but without delight.
In the evening there is a show program."

The hotel is located just a few minutes from the Messina Gate, which leads into the old city. Valet Car is a very convenient service for those arriving by car: a hotel employee will pick up your car and transport it to the indoor city parking lot for €25 per day. The most affordable room has a view of the wall, albeit decorated with artificial greenery. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with tea/coffee making facilities and robes (slippers are available upon request). The breakfast buffet is excellent, and there's an outdoor pool with sun loungers. The staff is very friendly. Check-out is unusually early – 10:30 AM, but we were allowed to stay 40 minutes longer.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Villa Sant’Andrea. The hotel is incredibly beautiful and unique, with stunning views that made every moment special. My room was very comfortable, and I enjoyed a restful and peaceful sleep throughout my stay.
I would like to sincerely thank all the staff who made my experience so memorable—from the team who checked me in to the bellman and doorman who kindly assisted me upon arrival and departure. Your warm hospitality and attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
It is no surprise that this hotel is so famous. You have created such a beautiful memory for my vacation, one that I will always cherish. I truly look forward to returning in the future.

I recently stayed here and overall had a pleasant experience. While it’s true that some of the interior facilities are a bit outdated and could use an upgrade, everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay, which made a big difference. The location was convenient and easy to access, and I felt safe and comfortable during my time here.
Despite the older furnishings, the room was functional and had everything I needed. Wi-Fi worked well, and basic amenities were provided. It’s not a luxury place by any means, but if you’re looking for something affordable, practical, and decently located, this is a solid option. I would consider staying here again for short trips or business visits.

This 120-year-old grand dame of a hotel is filled with character. It’s not shiny and new and WiFi is patchy in the rooms but it is ideally located and has a lovely pool area and gorgeous views.

Overlooking the Ionian Sea, the Grand Hotel San Pietro is a beautiful hotel with landscaped gardens and excellent amenities. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful and the rooms are well appointed and very comfortable.
Located within a 10-15 minute walk of the shopping and sightseeing area of Taormina, makes this 5 Star hotel an excellent choice.
The staff, as mentioned, are very courteous and helpful - and it is quite easy to become friends with them. Infact, Christian and Loretta (who work in the bar area during the evenings) are 2 staff members that I highly commend - not only for their service but for the exceptional time we spent with them.
This hotel is highly recommended and I certainly look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

We just had the most wonderful stay at La Plage. We arrived and were seen immediately and offered a drink whilst we checked in. We were then given a tour of the hotel and some information on the local area.
We were shown to our room which was a sea front bungalow with a hot tub. Just gorgeous! We had the most beautiful view of Isola Bella.
The next morning we were awake before the birds for an excursion to Etna (for my birthday), before we left someone appeared at the door with a birthday cake and a candle. A really lovely touch. Upon our return the ladies who cleaned the rooms stopped by whilst I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub to say hello and sang me happy birthday too!
The service was impeccable from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff are AMAZING and so attentive. The food is delicious. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there.
Thank you everyone in La Plage for making our stay so perfect. We can’t wait to come back

The room has an unbeatable sea view, facing the sea with flowers blooming in spring, and you can also see the misty Mount Etna in the distance. The hotel is halfway up the mountain. It is a bit expensive to take a taxi from the train station to the mountain for 25 euros. Young people without large luggage can try hiking or taking the bus. The uncle at the front desk is very friendly. The sleeping bag left in the room by my companion was immediately delivered. I stayed for two nights. It is suitable for a daze vacation

Everything was good except for the laundry. We paid 40 euros and our laundry came back still somewhat dirty and not smelling clean. All my white clothes were ruined because they didn't separate. Wasted my money and my clothes. Breakfast was good but repetitive. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The room was cleaned daily and thoroughly. We had a sea view room which was beautiful however it felt so stuffy and humid that it prevented us from sleeping and we were unable to turn on the air conditioning. The walls were so thin that we could hear people outside all night, we could hear the people have breakfast in the morning, and we could hear the opera couple streets over. Location was close enough to the bus and to shops and restaraunts.

The hotel is in a good location, the overall room size is reasonable, tidy, the breakfast is also good, , but the price is not very attractive. The hotel staff was not very polite. We were in a hurry when checking out, but the staff preferred to continue chatting with other customers rather than taking our check-out key. It was not until I expressed many times that I really had to catch the bus that the staff reluctantly took my key.

Hotel located right next to the funicular to Taormina. The rooms are simple and slightly dated but perfectly adequate for one night. The hotel has a very nice view of the sea. Free parking is not easy in high season (high traffic area).
