Beach Hotels in Santa Barbara

Quite an unexpected surprise! I originally went because of the location. It's on the beach and relatively affordable, so I didn't have high expectations. But as soon as I entered the room, I found that it was clean and tidy, and the bathroom and facilities were not inferior to other hotels!

The location was convenient and it was great for travelers with a car to park, because you can take the car out if you like or just leave it parked. We were able to walk to our dinner one of the nights and it was only a short drive for breakfast. I loved the balcony, it was the best way to enjoy the winter sun.

The hotel room was good, and breakfast was decent. It has a large parking lot and excellent facilities. The hygiene was also quite good. Being right on the street makes it very convenient for getting around. The environment was pleasant. It's about a 30-minute drive from UCSB. Getting the deposit back was very slow, but Trip.com helped resolve the issue through communication.

In downtown, there is Gelson's supermarket opposite. Hotel facilities are a bit old, but the room is relatively large and partially renovated.

This was the best hotel on our West Coast trip, even more comfortable than the 5-star hotel we stayed at in Las Vegas. We liked it so much we booked another hotel from the same chain later in Monterey. Parking was super convenient, right in front of our room, and it was free – plus they had breakfast! Where else can you find that? The scenery was beautiful, and it was incredibly kid-friendly. The pool was heated, though we didn't use it. There's also a self-service laundry room with dryers, but you need to download an app to top up and use them. Highly recommend booking a stay here!

There is a buffet in the afternoon. There is wine and fruit biscuit cheese. Very good. The room was very very clean. The bedding is soft. The room is small, and the family recommends a large room type. 2 minutes walk from the train station.

A more advanced level of enjoyment. Town center, good location, comfortable hotel. Gym, game pool, weather, all great. It's a few hundred meters away from the main street. At night, the atmosphere is very good. Lively and beautiful.

Motel 6 is a chain brand. There are three in Santa Barbara. Please check the address when booking. I made the mistake of booking this one. I drove to the beach ten kilometers away and found out I had made the mistake. Overall the rooms are quite decent, a little compact but have all the necessary facilities. It takes about ten minutes to drive to the beach. There is free hot water and instant coffee at the front desk. There is plenty of parking space for each room and there is a swimming pool.

With many rooms available on Wednesday, I don't understand why they gave us a room furthest from the central restaurant. We had to walk through another building to get to it, and it faced a cricket ball site. The room wasn't even square; it was slanted. I was a bit disappointed. During check-in, the receptionist talked a lot, seemingly oblivious to whether we understood, which was very pushy. At breakfast, the waitress insisted we sit in her assigned seats, which was uncomfortable. Most ridiculously, the bathroom was terrible. I don't usually give hotels bad reviews, but this night's experience was truly unpleasant. The only positive was the hotel's dinner restaurant. The waiter service was excellent, and watching the sunset outside the window was pleasant.
