GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Barcelona Skipper. The hotel is elegant and well-located, just a short walk from the beach and many city attractions.
What truly made the experience special was the warm and welcoming attitude of the front desk staff. Everyone was friendly and professional, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel at home.
A special thanks to Tiago, who stood out for his kindness and positive energy. He was consistently helpful and courteous, and his genuine hospitality made a lasting impression.
Highly recommend this hotel—not just for its facilities, but especially for the outstanding service from the lobby team.

AAvicLocation is a so-so for me. Just 10 minutes walk to the nearest metro and it's a paved road all the way to the hotel which is good for travelers with luggages. Room view was nice as well. The hotel is situated near the beach which is a plus and the sorroundings were clean. The Service is perfect I could say because I made some changes with regards the check-in process and they were kind enough to reconsider my request. The hotel provided us with combs and toothbrushes and other hygiene stuffs which is convenient for those who forgot to bring theirs. Their buffet has a lot of options so you could really choose on what to eat. So far everthing went well with our stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel is nicely decorated and clean. We had access to the executive lounge which was really nice (nice view, good snacks). Location is close to a metro and tram station which is good, but otherwise its not very central so if you are here purely for tourism its a bit further away from most tourist places. We were less satisfied with the service; it was possible to order pillows with the app, but it kept not working. Reception dit not answer the phone or the provided whatsapp number when asking questions. The staff was very friendly. It would be nice to be able to access netflix on the smart tv. Channels were mostly all spanish. The bathroom was less practical/nice for an executive king room.

GGuest UserOverall, our stay was pleasant. The room was large and clean. We didn't try the breakfast so can't say if it's good or not.
The day we arrived it was very late at night and we were exhausted, and the person at the front desk instead of continuing with the check-in and showing us to the room started asking us if we took a taxi because apparently someone else staying there needed a taxi too. So we had to wait at the front desk while they sorted out someone else's problem first, which was frustrating.

CChangyouxiaoyuzhouFirst off, a huge shout-out to the service! From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff were incredibly warm and efficient, always with a genuine smile, and patiently answered all our questions. It wasn't just the front desk; every staff member throughout the hotel, from the pool attendants to the restaurant servers, made us feel comfortable, cared for, and truly valued. My elderly travel companions are quite particular about their food, and they had a few unconventional requests. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate them, and that feeling of being prioritized was truly wonderful.
The room's view also deserves a special mention! The moment I pulled back the curtains, I was absolutely stunned. The panoramic sea view outside was breathtaking and magnificent, with planes occasionally flying by. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, and at night, you can see countless lights twinkling. Even at midnight, people were everywhere on the beach, chatting, playing beach volleyball, and even doing Western-style line dancing. Every photo you take turns out picture-perfect.
Facilities and dining also didn't disappoint. The outdoor pool environment was fantastic; just soaking in it and enjoying the view was incredibly relaxing. The breakfast spread was super diverse, offering a full range of Chinese and Western options, hot and cold dishes, fruits, and desserts. Every morning, we started our day feeling satisfied and happy. For dinner, we opted for a set menu, and the portions were incredibly generous – enough to easily fill two people, and the taste was spot-on.
All in all, whether it's the service, the environment, or the dining, the W Barcelona excels in every aspect. Next time I'm in Barcelona, I'll most likely choose this hotel again! Absolutely fantastic!

Service staff was quick and helpful when it comes to queries and requests for room amenities etc.
Room was clean with daily room make-up and top-up of room amenities and comes with Nespresso coffee machine (with capsules).
