"We booked the Superior Double Room and I felt it was well worth the extra for the gorgeous view we had from 2 large windows - whether the skies were sunny or cloudy.
The location was excellent - within 5 to 10mins walk to the town and to Derwent Water and parking was well explained and ample. On entering Fellpack House, it was pleasant, well cared for and inviting. Our room on the top floor (stairs all the way up) was straight out of a home & decor magazine. The amenities, furnishing, towels and beverages were quality stuff and we saw that they also used locally sourced soaps and beverages. Housekeeping was daily and I loved that the gave us delicious chewy chocolate chip cookies each day!
The breakfast was fresh & flavourful. That they started off as a restaurant (that operates across the road and is highly rated) carries through in their breakfast - I ate so much and it was worth every calorie!
Best of all were the staff. We met many over the course of our stay and every one of them were warm, chatty, highly customer-oriented and witty!
Can you tell how much I loved our stay there 😀"

Great
GGuest UserThe environment and facilities of the B&B itself are very good, and it is a very atmospheric accommodation. The biscuits in the room were delicious, and the meals provided by the B&B were also good, but not cost-effective (some dishes were a bit salty). The location is relatively remote, and I feel that people who stay here generally drive their own cars. We are a bit far away from Keswick and Derwentwater, and if the bus stops, we can only call to book a taxi. However, the overall accommodation experience is still very good!
GGuest UserThis hotel built over 100 years ago and still retains the fell of luxury and the excellent staff look after your superbly,it was a delight to stay there.
GGuest UserThis is a historic building dating back to 1548, experienced 11 owners and is now a spa hotel
The hotel sits on a large area, with flocks of cattle and sheep in front of the door. The restaurant on the other side has a very good lake view and a large grass. Hares and squirrels often jump in the grass and woods. You can reach the lake by a small road or hike in the forest.
You can feel it from the elevator, the hotel is very old
The spa has a heated swimming pool, cold pool, hot pool, and an outdoor hot pool. It is really pleasant to face a large area of grass and woods.
The only thing to note is: check out at 11 o'clock, be sure to go to the spa before check out, after 11 o'clock to add 20 pounds per person.
GGuest UserI have only good things to say! Room was very spacious and lovely for the both of us and had everything you needed. We stayed in a triple room for 2 of us (but in the end room had 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds but no problems with that of course). Bed was very comfortable, shared showers and toilets outside were clean, spacious and bright. Counter staff Matt in particular was incredibly helpful and friendly, and helped us figure out a way to hike Blencathra via Sharp Edge in the morning, informed us of bus availabilities and schedules etc. They also allowed us to store luggage with them while we hiked and allowed us to use their toilets and showers to freshen up after the hike. We also had lunch there and food was delicious!! Really great hotel very value for money. Thank you!
GGuest UserSurprisingly good, very pleasantly surprised!
1. The hotel is not big, between a small hotel and a homestay, a traditional British villa. (Three floors, no elevator, you have to climb the stairs with your luggage) very warm and clean, with heating
2. Highly recommend his dinner, very very delicious, and very cheap, full color and fragrance!
3. There is a man in the hotel, five-star service! We didn't know which beer was good when ordering, he took three cups to help us pour some, let us try
In addition to the restaurant, there is also a bar in his house, the beer is very delicious, similar to the kind of home brewed
5. The location is also good, walk to the town center for a few minutes. Walk to the lake for ten minutes
6. Breakfast is not buffet, there is a menu to order, very special
GGuest UserThe window of the room is very small. On the fourth floor, it feels that the room for us is very small and very general. There is a moldy smell when entering the house. The room is generally hygienic. In terms of the price of this room, there is no price/performance ratio at all. The town is small and there is no need to live too close to the lake area. It takes two steps to get there. The parking is not good and the charge is 6 pounds. The old man is still enthusiastic and the attitude of others is average. Especially when I checked in, there was no elevator. In fact, it can be set in the vicinity of ten minutes drive no problem! Too much cost-effective
