YHA Keswick

Its the best for location and staff is so friendly 😊😊🩵🩵

I have only good things to say! Room was very spacious and lovely for the both of us and had everything you needed. We stayed in a triple room for 2 of us (but in the end room had 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds but no problems with that of course). Bed was very comfortable, shared showers and toilets outside were clean, spacious and bright. Counter staff Matt in particular was incredibly helpful and friendly, and helped us figure out a way to hike Blencathra via Sharp Edge in the morning, informed us of bus availabilities and schedules etc. They also allowed us to store luggage with them while we hiked and allowed us to use their toilets and showers to freshen up after the hike. We also had lunch there and food was delicious!! Really great hotel very value for money. Thank you!

Location 🌅✌️

Great central location to Keswick Town and Derwent Water. Youth Hostel we had a private room. Beautiful located next to a running stream overlooking Fritz Park from our balcony. Our room was very clean. The staff are very polite and helpful. Great location from the M6 Morotway North to Scotland and South bound past Kendal the gateway to the Lake District. Plenty to do in and around Keswick. There's the theatre by the Lake worth a visit. Keswick Convention ( Christian) held around July through to August. And much more. Great experience at the Youth Hostel!! Will visit again!

The room was just unbearable with the heat. To hot to even sleep the fan In the room didn't work. There was no lockers for storage

Yet another YHA success. This is a lovely hostel, with a view of river Greta and Fitz Park. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff and they all were brilliant, accommodating and helpful. The bedroom itself was fine, except it was far too hot. Not sure whether it was the weather or it being situated right next to the drying room, but we were very grateful for the fan that was provided. The one thing we would have appreciated knowing ahead of time was the Disc Parking on Station Road, which did catch us out. So if you are driving then please do make sure you get a disc for the parking attendant. From a situation point of view this YHA is brilliantly placed, for any activity you would want to do. Would very happily come again.

We have stayed at Keswick YHA a lot and always enjoy the experience. The staff have always been great. It is really good to see that some investment has been made to the building and our room was freshly decorated and really good. It may have been reconfigured not sure but there was definietly an improvement to the showers. It was great to see that these hostels will continue and be invested in. We did not eat at the hostel but it also looked like the menu had been updated.

This was my first time staying at a yha and I booked a dorm room for me and my son the first night the room was red hot and both the other people in the room were snorers so I had a terrible nights sleep! However in the morning I explained my predicament and I was upgraded to a private room for no extra charge and this was much better! The bar area was nice the facilities are great and the location is brilliant. However the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired i would definitely stop here again but would not have the breakfast. Much tastier alternatives are available nearby.
