The Mary Mount Hotel

An classic, elegant "old style" hotel in a picturesque, quiet location near the lake. Its convenient that trailheads for some of the popular hikes ( Lake Circuit, Catbells, Wally Crag ) are at the hotel. Its a 20 minute bus ride from Keswick town, which is 40 minutes from Penrith station. Staff very helpful. The included breakfasts are excellent with a range of tasty hot and cold dishes. We spent an enjoyable four nights.

Great location

Lovely Hotel with great views and close to Keswick.Stayed in the Lodge which has two bedrooms, each with a double bed and one had a single bed in too. It has a large double shower and toilet.Each bedroom has Coffee/tea and kettle. Plenty of storage in the bedrooms. Great Lounge area with three settee’s great if with friends or family. Small fridge in the lounge.Plenty of choice for breakfast, Also evening meal available if needed. Staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

Lovely hotel with a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Room was comfortable, dinner was good and breakfast was excellent. You can relax on the terrace, hike in the environment or cycle around the lake. You can also take a boat from the jetty.

Wow, what can we say! The hotel is in a wonderful location, with stunning views. The room we were staying in, in our opinion, cannot be beaten. It was more like a suite, with a large terrace, a view of the lake and a beautiful grassed area. The hotel has a great bar and restaurant providing great food. As dog owners we ate in the dog friendly conservatory which was very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Lovely terraces to sit at, whilst having a drink on a lovely sunny day. The hotel has a pontoon a short walk away where you can catch the ferry on Derwent Water up to Keswick. Would definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel.

Stayed here for our anniversary,amazing find. Room was spotless and bed was very comfortable. Staff couldn't do enough for us and food was beautiful. Views from hotel are unbelievable. Already looking for our return visit as so close to so many walks as well. Little gem of a find for us.

We had a fantastic stay at the Mary mount hotel. Dog friendly, fantastic views and experiences with the local nature. We saw a deer, woodpecker and robin over an amazing breakfast. Theres outside seating in the garden to sit and enjoy a drink and the lovely surroundings. Our room was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities required. Small garden right outside the door for the dogs. Great location for the derwentwater circular or an hours walk along the lakeside into Keswick.
